I am finding that I have to move through the screens partly by keyboard, and partly with my hand on my iPad screen. I am sure that it is just my initial using of the keyboard, but would appreciate more instructions included. The keyboard itself does feel great, love the backlights, and the soft touch keys, and as I use it I am sure that I will come to enjoy it. Toughest thing is the lack of the mouse pad, makes using it a bit awkward.

Easy to use and well made. I think the only changes I would want to see to this would be that the kit came with a screen cover and to have the light button put back for a single touch rather than a two button set up.

This was the first time I had purchased from Zagg and would not hesitate to buy again. The thing is, it’s such quality product that I don’t need it replacing anytime soon. It’s been tested with 2 drops from my son, no damage at all. Definitely recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am not totally satisfied I am not totally satisfied with my new case. It doesn’t always stay up. I had the old heavy type the last time and it was great. You just opened it up and it stood wherever you stopped it. This one you have to fold the cover it the back and use the magnetic flap to hold it in place. Doesn’t always hold. It is however much lighter.

Now you have to open, fold up the lid so that it supports the Ipad screen , then type. Minor complaint but not my favorite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rugged system The rugged messenger is a good piece of equipment. There are two pieces ti the system. One that surrounds the iPad with a poly plastic and then the keyboard system, that attaches to the hard case using magnets. The system functions great, keyboard connected with out issue. The problems I have with it is for such rugged protection it lacks a screen cover. The screen is completely exposed as it sits in the case. The second issue is the location of where the Apple Pen is stored. Its in the securing flap that keeps the case closed around the iPad. The pen is exposed and my cap to the pen comes off when retrieving it from my purse. Then with the pen in place the flap cannot properly secure the system closed as it does not allow the magnets to bond. I like the product bought a screen protector to mitigate the screen issue and now have to store my pen elsewhere.

The only thing I am not happy with is, you are not able to set the IPad vertically with the stand. It has to stay horizontally for the back stand to work. And magnetic strip is only on one side of the case.

The case is heavier than I thought it would be but I have no complaints about its feel or transportability. The keyboard action is quite pleasant and I like the brightness of the backlighting. I find the setting of the screen angle to take some getting used to especially when I use the IPad on my lap. The magnetic detants have a tendency to slip when I move. I have not dropped the IPad yet so I can't tell if the protective qualities of the Zagg are worth the extra weight. If I drop it and it keeps on working I will give the Zagg five stars. All in all I am happy with my purchase

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the Best out there I have used a few different brands. This case is sleek and versatile. Having a detachable keyboard is the icing on the cake that will bring me back to this one every time. The ability to switch from full keyboard to mobile is awesome. Features: Headphone jack cut out. The gap around the jack worried me at first as it was super wide. Just the rigidity of the case holds very well. This is great as some jack for audio systems can have some beefy connectors. So win! Magnet stand: The angles of the stand are great. The case can hold positions for typing on a table/desk, on the couch, or on your lap. Charging port: Out of all of this, I think this is the only flaw of the device. Yes Micro USB is a standard. But as an iOS exclusive device, why not put a lighting connector. You have one in your bag already for the iPad. This was a missed opportunity. Backlit Keyboard: There are a series of RGB colors you can pick from which is awesome. I like White and Red the most on this device personally, but it has the gambit of 7 or 8 colors to pick from. You can also adjust the brightness. Apple Pencil: I use the Logitech Crayon, which is thicker that the Apple Pencil. But it works will with this case. The sleeve for it has no problem. Biggest competition: Logitech Rugged Folio Case: Has a fixed case and uses the magnetic connectors for power. So you never have to charge it. A competing perk. But it gets heavy and clunky. Being able to remove the keyboard when you don't need it for reading is the winning perk. Logitech's keyboard is fully enclosed. So cleaning it can be done with any cleaner and a rag. Zagg's keyboard has standard keyboard keys so eventually crud is going to get stuck under the keys and it will be difficult to clean. Battery life: Huge plus! This keyboard, even though you have to charge it, has an excellent battery life. You can set you iPad to have a read out of the current battery percentage on your home screen as a bluetooth device.

Our Technicians are out in the public all day and need more protection for their ipads. The Rugged Book is excellent. The Messenger is good, just not enough closure on it.

The keyboard is great and the ipad disconnects from a magnet and can be used as a notepad with my apple pencil. The case that protects the ipad when used as a note pad is really durable and nice but still makes the ipad feel slim.

It’s a nice product and feels well made but anyone buying this expecting the hefty price tag to include a screen protector will be disappointed. It doesn’t, and it’s not recessed enough to protect the screen without if you drop it. Considering I’ve had two emails offering Zagg products, including lens protectors, since, it feels a bit cheap to leave them out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointing I miss the ‘trough’ above the keyboard that the display on my old Zagg had - the display would stay in it across a wide range of angles - particularly when writing while not at a desk. The magnetic system is way too weak and will fail with minimum deviation from its working angles. I wish my old Zagg was not so beat up - I still prefer it over the new one with its screen angularity awkwardness
