What do you like best about the product?
Its a very useful and reliable tool for backups . We used it for backing up our RDBMS data using this tool , Oracle backups were configured to use Netbackup and worked well for us

It might be difficult to intial days to understand how this tool works and integration with the databases , oracle in our case

Most helpful thing of NetBackup is its diversity we can easily set different type of backup it support wide range of Platforms. NetBackup gives detailed recovery option which is gives flexibility in restore.
What do you dislike about the product?
License and overall cost of implementation of NetBackup solution is expensive. Having some difficulties while using it first time but with time it was used to.

The overall peformance is good, we have had many years with Veritas NetBackup, it is fast both in backup and restore especially with large data system (over 20TB) Tha automation is also good, scheduling is flexible and variable. The tape machine (hardware) often get problem. and the support is not respond immediately.

Veritas Netbackup is used for backup, archive , restore files and folders. If a server crash it saves us from the data we need. It provides 24*7 availability.

Some time backup take much more time. sometimes it failed with errors.

Faced difficulties in integration with multiple 3rd party softwares like storage hardware, vmware, OS agents

Easy to configure and able to manage easily and connect to different applications. Sample vmware, SQL

Assistance on support website confuses the users. When you try to search for a topic, multiple results with the same topic but troubleshooting differs and might confuse use on how to proceed on fix.

Veritas netbackup is a great backup and data protection solutions, combine a great capacities, good performance and friendly management, veritas netbackup can be colaborate with other aplications and integrate with data bases engines too. Veritas netbackup incorporates a user interface to operations and management
What do you dislike about the product?
Veritas netbackup is not better how configure policies and data sets, the bare metal backup dont work very well when exists arrays by hardware, but work very well on virtual system operations
