There is little more to add. This product does the job and it lasts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features for the Money !!! I have only had this surge protector for a couple of weeks so I haven't been through any thunderstorms or known power surges. So I am giving four stars instead of five. I will update my review once I can comment on its effectiveness. But I am giving it four stars based on its specifications with are outstanding. It has 2160 Joules and an internal circuit breaker which shuts down power to all outlets if the surge protector is compromised. That is a great feature. Most surge protectors do not have internal circuit breakers and allow power to continue to flow to the outlets even when it is no longer offering surge protection. This is dangerous as your equipment is at risk without you knowing about it. Those surge protectors typically rely on a warning light to alert owners that the unit has been compromised. But there are two concerns with that method. One, the unit may be located out of sight which is often the case. Two, some professional reviewers have stated that warning lights are not always reliable. So, the internal circuit breaker is the way to go. In addition, getting over 2000 Joules at this price point (under $20.00) is a great investment. Finally, getting seven outlets in this small strip is awesome. It has room for three extra large plugs with blocking the other plugs. Thumbs way up !!!

I like that it has the right-angled flat wall plug for clearance behind furniture, or in my case, a wall mounted TV. Although I don't need them, the two outlets on the sides for "wall warts" are a nice feature that allow for a total of three transformer plugs without covering the other outlets. Fortunately, I haven't had to rely on the surge suppressor, so can't speak to that. However, I have had other Tripp Lite products that have performed well.

Granted I don't really need telephone and network protection in this day and age, but the joule protection for this surge protector is better than any of its competitors in this price range. I having been using this model surge protector for over 15 years and have never had a problem with an electronic device connected to one of them.

This fits the bill nicely and the way the strip is mounted, the side outlets make it very convenient to plug individual tools whenever I need to. I can't speak for Longevity, but this is Tripplite we're talking about, so I am confident it will last a long while. Great product!

It has adequate joules and adequate clamping protection (330/400/400V). The right-angle plug doesn't work in other locations where we might have used this model, because of the angle at which the cord exits the plug; and the cord is much longer than we needed in the locations where we are using this model. But we're making it work, and so far, so good. It hasn't been tested yet in a surge situation. In one location, it shows "protected" but not "grounded," so we need to call an electrician to work on that.

I use this surge protector for my home gym and absolutely love the idea that this product stands behind a lifetime warranty that would replace any items if there should be a faulty problem with the product and damage to done to anything plugged into it! The long cord is perfect for an out on the upper wall but the outlet box can be placed in the floor. So far I've got a treadmill and elliptical into this protector. I'm pretty happy and confident with this surge protector and even happier that Tripplite stands behind their product

Installed on Frigidaire professional series refrigerator. It's only been a brief period of time so far. I live off the coast of South Carolina. Storms & power surges tend to be a regular thing particularly during hurricane season. Time & weather will provide the ultimate test & consequently tell the tale. Until then I feel there's some additional protection.

I wanted a minimum or 2000 Joules of protection. I selected Tripp-Lite for its reputation and because I was pleased with other Tripp-Lite surge protectors I had purchased. I will mention that the unit's molded plastic exterior did have some residual flashing partly obstructing the outlet openings on the side of the unit. I used an XACTO knife to clear the flashing which was not difficult, but I shouldn't need to do that.

The extra plugs on the side make it a great purchase for those plugs that just do not fit those standard surge outlets. Great Product. Will be buy the product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I use these all around the house as an economical surge protector that I can rely on, wherever I don't need the additional coax or network lines protected as well. The design of the supressor is such that you can use up to three bulky transformers without blocking the use of the other outlets, since two of the outlets are provided on the side. Additionally, it has a rating of 2160J, which is plenty of protection for me for most applications. After having an issue with a lightning strike, I spent a lot of time researching reviews of products and customer feedback to get a feel for which companies actually stood behind their products. Tripp-Lite was the only one I felt I could trust.

I love that it has an outlet on top and botton for my bigger plugs and also the end outlet can accommodate a bigger longer plug as well. The last surge protector I had did not have them and my bigger plugs would cover up multiple oulets. I love that it has a small green power light and a small red grounded light so that you know it is working. If you need a 7 outlet surge protector look no further.

I live in a town that has numerous power outages and surges. I like the simple design but it also provides extra sockets when I have extra plugs. Its low-key design means it doesnt visually stand out too much. Its sturdy, so I know it will last for a long time. My only wish is that i had the option of choosing cord lengh but this is a minor problem. Dust protector slides would be nice too, but since its on the floor its whole life, I can simply lightly vaccum.

I needed a surge protector that met all the treadmill manufacturer's criteria, and this one seemed to be appropriate. So far, this one appears to be working well and protecting my equipment.

The lights show Protected and Grounded. The plugs are far enough apart, there are even 2 outlets facing out on the sides, and the cord is study and long without being heavy. The best feature is that there is a UL listed emblem proof on the back of the unit. This is a lot harder to find in surge protectors than you would think and with most, you just have to take the company's word that it is UL listed, at least until you get it. It is not usually on the photo. The amount of joules is also excellent. Do not hesitate to choose this item and company. I wish they had one small and light enough for travel with a long cord. I'll keeping looking and waiting!

I purchased this surge protector to protect a new electronic instrument. The strip is situated inconspicuously on a neutral tile floor and because I can plug my main device into a side-mounted receptacle., I can tuck it all under another piece of furniture, yet see the LED lights showing me it's armed and ready. It's a low-cost investment for peace of mind and Tripp-Lite's lengthy protection plan. What a deal!

I did a lot of research before I purchased the Tripp Lite Super7 outlet surge protector, I needed the right angle plug, wanted 2160 joules, the lights are working properly, it's protecting my electronics. Customer reviews were key in making my brand decision regarding the quality of the product and that the mfg. has an excellent customer service response and warranty department. It also had the best pass through rating that I could find. I now have 2 of these and Tripp Lite will be my go to brand from now on.

Coincidentally, the color is almost an exact match for the paint color on my walls, so the cable blends in(which is awesome).

(Most consumer ones are rated far fewer joules; t's amazing what passes for "protection.") I've owned and trusted Tripp-Lite products since the late 1980's. I still use my original bulletproof Isobar product.

Am using it to protect a small television, cable box, stereo shelf system, and DVD player in the bedroom. And there are spots left over for charging my iPhone and tablet! The long cord is great for plugging into an outlet behind furniture, allowing the surge protector to be easily accessible.
