Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and efficient inverter. I would buy another one. I'm using this inverter to regulate the line voltage being fed to a lamp with a dimmer. I get the 12 VDC from a 10A power cube. This 'double regulation' filters out the normal power line fluctuations that gets amplified by a dimmer resulting in a fluctuating lamp intensity (due to dV/dT). Now the lamp intensity remains constant at all dimmer settings. I like this inverter because is does NOT have a fan, which would be annoying in a normally silent home environment. Only down side is that the output is a modified sine wave, but luckily, this isn't an issue for this application.

I have a 1500W pure sine inverter for an induction cooktop I also want to install. Ideally, I would just have a direct DC-DC converter for my laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely excellent quality purpose-built inverter for those smaller jobs I use this inverter to power a small "boom-box" entertainment unit by Sony which only can use batteries or AC current. It can play AM/FM stereo radio, cassette, CD and has a aux input for a music player. The current draw is small and well within the PV150 specs. It rarely if ever gets the slightest bit warm to the touch during use. Has never run down the car's battery even leaving it on over several days. It, like virtually all other, Tripp-Lite products, are excellent, durable, well-designed and reliable.

The unit is super light weight and allows traveling with this a breeze. The dependability is top notch. Always carry extra fuses in case your device pulls more power than the unit puts out.

I now have the ability to plug my instrumentation into my own AC power source and perform work as expected. The size is ideal for quick power when needed.

I have COPD and I love to go fishing, but was unable to because I have to take breathing treatments and no way to run my machine. Now, I can go fishing and take my treatments when needed because of this unit.

It doesn't work well for fully depleted, extended life batteries, as the draw is beyond its design specs. The safeties work as designed, though!. Good job.

It has enough power to supply many of the devices I or my friends and family use in the car (laptops etc). Worth every cent I paid and look forward to doing business with Tripplite again!.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The 150W PowerVerter exactly fits my needs to power my CPAP I bought the 150W PowerVerter Ultra-Compact Car Inverter to run my CPAP (breathing machine) while I am camping, and in case our power goes out at the house. It works perfectly for my needs. Other inverters that I've used are larger, bulkier and also have a noisy fan that runs whenever they were connected and turned on. This inverter is very compact and runs silently (no fan). My CPAP is rated at 90W so the inverter has plenty of power for what I need.
