Tripp Lite's 6ft DVI - HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) cable allows interconnection between digital display devices, such as DTV's (Digital Television), Plasma displays, LCD TV's, and projectors, to Digital source devices, such as Digital Set-Top boxes, DVD/DVD-R players, and AV receivers. HDMI DTV's will display video received from existing DVI-equipped products, and DVI-equipped TVs will display video from HDMI sources. HDMI technology uses a much more compact and user-friendly connector than the existing DVI connector. The HDMI specification handles higher-bandwidth, uncompressed video, and multi-channel digital audio, all in one neat cable solution.

This cable does exactly what I needed it to do. It allows you to connect a laptop to a second monitor; assuming that the other DVI port is already hooked up to another monitor. This allowed me to use the HDMI port on the laptop to use 3 screen simultaneously by extending the screen, using the laptop and 2 monit

Works great, no issues
We needed to pickup a bunch of these to connect our old Dell E-Port docking stations to newer monitors that only had VGA/HDMI inputs. So far they are working without trouble.
