DisplayPort is a new digital display interface standard put forth by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA). It defines a digital audio/video interconnect intended to be used between computer and display monitors, or computers and home theater systems. Similar to HDMI, in that it supports both Digital Video/Audio signals, DisplayPort is geared more toward the computer market, where HDMI dominates the Home Theater market. Tripp Lites DisplayPort cables support a maximum bandwidth of 10.8Gbps, as well as DPCP (DisplayPort Content Protection), HDCP, and resolutions up to 1080p. Available in 6ft, 10ft, and 15ft lengths.

Can't get correct cable connecting computer to monitor
This was not the cable I needed. It was my second attempt to get the cable I needed for a Dell computer to a Dell monitor. Doesn't anybody know anything about the cables you use on your products?

And I didn't need it because the monitor came with a display port cable. So, my electronics dopp bag now has a display port cable.
