Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would be great if the Thunderbolt cable that comes with it would stay in.Would be great if the Thunderbolt cable that comes with it would stay in.There is a very big design flaw on this. The usb-c thunderbolt cable that comes with the docking station is awful and short. the cable will fall out of the toshiba portege x30d and it will also fall out of the Toshiba Thunderbolt 3 Dock. Opening and or closing the lid to the laptop is enough for it to cause the cable to fall out of both the dock and the laptop. I went to local store and purchased a 1m usb-c 3.1 cable and this new cable holds on better. The power button on the docking station only operates the docking station. Would be great if it would also turn on the laptop. Like most of toshiba other dockinstations do. Past the usb-c cable everything else is great

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Dock but could use some improvementsI replaced my computer from a Protégé to Tecra and needed a new dock for laptop. The Protégé had an integrated port on the bottom of the computer that locked into the docking station, very easy to use and seamless to start computer with lid down. With the new system you must connect the Thunderbolt cable (not an issue) but in order to start computer you must open and push start button which isn't that bad but wish you could launch computer with lid closed, also there needs to be more USB ports on the docking station. I love the new dock but don't love it.
