SKB’s 3SKB-R9 series 30” deep shock rack cases provide unequalled protection for your valuable rack mount components. This 10U high SKB Roto Shock Rack Case accommodates newer rack mount servers, networking and telecom equipment that require longer depth clearance. They are ideal for server room environments or disaster recovery applications and are lighter and more portable than traditional metal rack systems. SKB’s 30” deep shock racks are the only rotationally molded shock racks that are 30” deep inside the rails and fit fully into the main body of the case. Everyone else builds custom applications that extend the rails outside of the main case shell and expose your equipment to dangers that you are trying to protect them from by using a rugged case. This case series is manufactured from LLDPE polyethylene resin, which has been “hot melt” compounded to insure consistent color throughout the case, and cannot be scratched or peeled off. Our case material is resistant to acids, solvents, UV, corrosion, and fungus so you need not worry about the environment. Rotational molding allows us to manufacture cases without molded in stress, which you will get with other manufacturing technologies. Rotational molding also allows us to form a part with 15 to 20% thicker walls in the areas that are subject to the greatest external stress, such as the corners. This technology allows us to build a case that is capable of lasting forever in the most challenging and demanding environments.
