Fabulous resolution annoying ads
Our first OLED TV magnificent resolution. What I really want is my choices to come first I pay for Services and apps. I do not want to have to navigate Samsung offerings and listen to audio while I try to find my programming that I bought the TV to watch. Otherwise wonderful

Not worth it
Just used it for regular tv watching in a small office. Hoping it was going to upgrade the 720p and 1080 signal but some things didn't like right it was over processed' eye lashes look weird. Nothing really stood out why it was worth $1200 to me so I returned it and bought a TV for half the price and didn't get

Great TV, not great remote
TV is sharp and bright as I would expect from a fairly expensive model. The remote does not make the TV easy to use with its minimalist design. I normally watch over the air channels received by antenna. With an old style remote, I could punch in a channel number and go to the channel or at least close. Wit

HUGE upgrade from what I had
Compared to the TV I had before this, I've upgraded quite a lot. The picture quality is so much better. I feel like watching movies has gotten much more entertaining because I notice things that weren't in focus at all before. I thought it was just because they weren't meant to be seen clearly but I'm realizing

Disappointing
Great picture clarity and color brightness but no that big of a difference compared to good quality non oled TV's. The price difference is not justified. Sound is good Samsung interface is a bit laggy and sometimes freezes. Alexa does not always works and it wants to keep listening at all times which I prefer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture, problem with sound compatibility We are very pleased with the picture quality of this OLED TV. The best we've ever seen. However, right from the start, we had problems with the voice SYNCHING with the PICTURE. The picture was always ahead. After several calls with Samsumg customer support, we replaced the HDMI cable (no help), we reset numerous settings (no help), and then eventually, had to replace our 6 year old non-samsung sound bar. That finally did the trick. It was never mentioned anywhere in writing, or during the sales process, that this could be an issue, hence our 3 star review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible customer service I purchased the s90d. The earc port seems faulty. I tried 3 different sound bars and no sound from tv on earc. Blue tooth and optical are ok. Also, PCs will only stream at 60hz with 4080 card. I contacted tech support at 1-800-Samsung and ran through all trouble shooting steps. They agreed there was an issue and said I would get a text on next steps. After 2 days, I didn't get a text and called back Again, I had to go through all the troubleshooting steps. Again the agent agreed there's a problem and said I would get a text to set up a visit by a tech. I got a text after the call . I clicked the text and it said to call 1- 800 Samsung, which is the same number I had been calling. I called again and provided the background and asked for a new text or a number or website to schedule a visit. They refused to give me that information until I went through all the troubleshooting steps again. So we wasted time and did it all again and they said they would send a new text and it would work I received a text. The text again said call 800 Samsung. I called again and explained the situation. I asked to talk to a supervisor or someone who could help me get a tech visit. Again they refused to provide help until I went through all the troubleshooting shooting steps. After going all the steps they said someone would call me. No one has called.

I stick to everything Samsung as much as possible because I can say I've NEVER been disappointed by any of their products I've bought. Never. Whenever I'm in the market for another TV I'll definitely be sticking with another Samsung TV without a doubt.

Bought the Samsung 42" OLed in December, and would have rated this TV higher, but for two reasons : 1 - I can no longer 'cast' my HP computer to this TV, altho initially able to right out of the box. But then for some reason, it refused to allow communication with my HP desktop -- and without any explanation as to why. After reporting this to Samsung, their 'techs' said that because they were able to cast their 'cells' to the OLed (when in my living room), the problem must be with my equipment (HP), and not theirs. However, my HP desktop troubleshooter denies and problem with this after running their software to investigate. 2 - After playing home movies via USB thumb drive on the OLed, the sound cuts out when switching back to watch regular TV programming -- until and unless I unplug power to the set and restart same. I have yet to find a remedy for THIS problem, too. I therefore believe Samsung needs to seriously retool the OLed 42" TV to solve these nagging problems, and for which I paid a little over $1K for the inconvenience. The image quality, however, is superb, as is the sound (when working).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Time to upgrade Replacing a 10yr. old Toshiba 28” 720p that still works. Woww..! This thing is night&day! Love the skinny edges & super bright screen! Too bright for me out of the box. Needed to go into Advance Settings to dial in your preferences for the Audio & Video. It was a bonus to be able to connect to a 10 year old sound bar! A lot of fun so far. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top of the line 42”.

I talk with friends while watching our favorite shows. I love my TV. And even my dog watches doggy day care on it.

The room really needs to be well lit for the gestures feature to work. The sound will sometimes not work when I turn to TV on. I have to restart the TV, then the sound will work.

I enjoy the quick response of the remote and IR, this may not sound like much to some people, however, if you have had this problem in the past you will appreciate this feature. Since all my phones are Samsung the whole family loves the "Cast" feature, it brings us together to share our memories and our day. Thank you Samsung for the many features I use daily and take for granted.

The screen itself is shiny, so any other lighting in the room will reflect on the screen while you are watching. So if you want light other than the screen, use backlighting.
