Bulky Disappointment
I bought this maybe a week ago and I thought it was a full case covering the front as well but it’s only protecting the backside. It doesn’t protect your cameras lenses. It’s Super Bowl key and is advertised as scratch resistant which is absolutely not the case. I haven’t even dropped it yet somehow it has a crack (From my keys? and I was shocked because the integrity of these cases are supposed to be strong. Though the return & refund was a simple and stress-less task. The person I spoke with was very professional.

My screen has broken twice with this case
and I mean completely broken not the glass but like having weird flashing lines and dark spots. I had to pay to completely replace the screen. as I am writing this I see other reviewers are saying the same thing. Make this right otterbox! #justiceformyphone

Bought this to show off my beautiful new RED iPhone. I have always had an iPhone and an otterbox for protection but was worried about this particular one because it was “thinner” and “clear” but NO problem even having dropped it a few times!

Minimalist look. Great feel in your hand. No slippage. Case should last a few years without concern. Good protection -- I suspect it can take a reasonable fall, but haven't experienced it yet. Overall, a really nice transparent case. I'm rarely disappointed by OtterBox.

Sturdy, tight-fitting and resilient!
My husband bought me a new iPhone back in early December of last year, but didn't get me a case like he did the prior one. With this one being all glass and me a clutz, I knew I need to get a case on it immediately. He reco'd the Otter Box, but I didn't want the big, black clunky one like his that would hide my beautiful Product Red. Changes colour over time
Love this case but changes colour over time. The plain clear plastic changes to a yellowish colour. The sparkle plastic is still clear though. Odd.

Protective but yellowed
I didn’t purchase my otterbox from the website, but in a Walmart a year ago. It is a very protective case for sure, but within a couple months it yellowed, and the scratches are crazy bad! By now, my case is brown around the edges. Ied happily buy a new one even though it yellows but for 50$ i dont know if its worth it.

I Love Otter Box products but a year ago I purchased a clear on for my IPhone 11. The Verizon salesman said it would not discolor but it did and looks terrible. Not sure what to do.

Drop protection? Apparently not
We purchased the Otterbox Symmetry case for my daughter's iPhone 11. She is 15. The phone is 6 months old. She had the phone in the back pocket of her pants and it fell out while walking the dog. The screen is not cracked, but there is apparently a hardware malfunction. The screen is filled with vertical lines, color and black/white, and boxes, no image. I have tried turning the phone on and off, and it remains the same. I am quite sure this is going to be a very expensive repair, and I would think this is exactly what "Drop Protection" should be protecting against. It was not from more than 2.5-3 feet off the ground.

Disappointed
I think the cover is too hard of a material, I could hardly get it onto my phone. It made the phone too bulky and heavy to hold. Also when I opened it it was scratched in the corner. (See pic
I returned it as instructed but it cost me £8.45 which I think is shocking.
If I’d ordered from amazon it would’ve been cheaper and with free returns.

The case definitely protects your phone. However, the outside layer has so many scratches on it. I would think with the price of the case and all the reviews about otter box the outside material would be a lot more scratch resistant.

Left side buttons go soft over time
We know this is a problem with this type of case. The same happened with my iPhone 8 cases. The left side goes soft over time and doesn’t stay tight to the side of the iPhone. It’s a weakness in the design. I’ll see how it goes over the next few months. I like the design but it needs a rethink. Maybe cut away at the buttons rather than have the plastic over them???

I always buy OtterBox phone cases from amazon but bought this one straight from OtterBox. The case is great, however my order took two weeks to arrive after dispatch which was extremely disappointing. LOVE! I bought this case prior to getting my iPhone 11, knowing the quality of OtterBox cases. I was not disappointed. It fits perfectly and it super clear to see the beautiful new colors. It protects just as good as their other cases. Only downside is it scratches up pretty easy. On that same note, it's not super noticeable since its clear. Very protective and attractive case
The CLEAR Symmetry case is a very protective case and is attractive, when clean. However, I got a black Symmetry case off of eBay after buying the clear one. The clear case is nice, but do not put it on a black iPhone as it will show the fingerprints too clearly and this just bothered me too much. My wife got the CLEAR with GLITTER case and put it on her red iPhone and she loves it and you see no prints on hers. The black symmetry case I got from eBay is perfect for the black iPhone as it has a matte finish and shows no prints. But the Symmetry case (for a slim case is greatly protective and I highly recommend them.

It’s a great case, but the “scratch resistance” does not live up to it’s name. I specifically got this case because I didn’t want any easy scratches to appear on it, but after less than a week, prominent scratches appeared on the back of it. They’re very noticeable as they cast a hard shadow. A friend recommended this case because theirs did not yellow and didn’t have that many scratches. I will say it is great protection and it hasn’t yellowed for the time that I’ve had it so far, but the scratching could be improved if it’s claimed to be “scratch resistant”.

This case has saved my iphone 13 mini countless times. I have dropped this my phone with this case and my phone has no scratches or scuffs. The only negative thing I have to say is I've had this case for a year and a half, and the phone case is brown around the edges, also the phone case has so many scratches on the back. But I do reccomend this case for clumsy people like me!

Great protection against drops. In the two weeks I have had this my phone has fallen about 5ft onto hardwood and tile floor and this has protected my phone. That said the case does scratch easily and those scratches show through in the right light.

This is the 2nd Otterbox Symmetry Clear case I have bought for my iPhone 11. Fits well. Protects phone. Just after a year, wanted new case-old one still fit OK (slightly warped in a few spots , but yellowed. I can only assume to constant handling and “heat” of phone. Still VERY satisfied how long lasted. Hope this 2nd one lasts as long.

For the most part I like the style, it is comfortable to hold and it seems sturdy. Right off I noticed a scratch that looked like a small scrape and a longer scratch that iI thought was a crack. Both marks are on the inside on a lower corner portion of the back. I thought the case was used and was going to return it until I read some reviews of others with the same problem. I hope it stays clear, scratch free and does a great job protecting my phone. Do wish it came with a screen protector since there are numerous much less expensive cases on the market.

Otter box is a sturdy case. I constantly drop my phone and the phone is always fine, no damage. The case also has longevity. The only reason I bought another case was because it was so old, it was dirty and discolored.

Cute, but the clear plastic always turns brown
I’ve bought Otterbox cases for years, and when you have clear components they *always* eventually turn this sort of clear amber / brown colour as they age. This is not dirt; the actual component of the case turns brown. Pretty annoying. I love the glitter but it scratches easily. That said, the cases always protect my phone from smashing, so the job gets done.

Durable but shows scratches easily
I’ve had this case for little less than a month and it’s very durable and protects my phone very well. But I have noticed with the clear case, it shows almost every single scratch. I wouldn’t say I’m extremely rough with my phone and have had other otterbox cases in the past and this one somehow shows every little scratch.

It came out of the box with a scratch.
I love the case but as I read about it being scratch resistant I saw a scratch on the case as I pulled it out of the packaging. It’s also a bit sharp on the surface such as were I hold the phone up to my ear.

Have had this case for a few weeks and love it! I had just bought a new iPhone 11 in the beautiful “green” (really, more light teal color and didn’t want a case that would hide it. After reading several complaints about clear cases showing scratches, I thought that maybe any scratches would not be so apparent with the “sparkly” clear case. So far, so good! It does have a couple scratches, but you really have to search to find them. The case is a little difficult to get on and off the phone, but otherwise, it’s great!

Dropped Phone Going 75MPH on a Motorcycle
Man oh man, I was riding my motorcycle down a highway when my phone slipped out of my pocket and went flying on the freeway behind me. I circled back and picked it out of the road when no cars were coming and my phone survived with almost no cracks. This case is insane I can't believe it

I love this case - it's my second one. I've dropped my phone several times and the case has held up well! (The previous case was on the phone for two years and I broke it while trying to remove a pop-grip from it.) Otterbox cases are pricey, but worth it, imo, because of how durable and long-lasting they are.

Worst purchase ever, $50 + taxes for cheap plastic
Very disappointed with how cheap the case is, I just opened the box, put the case on my phone, and by the simple act alone of putting on the case for my phone, scratched the the inside of the case itself. I didn’t even think it was possible for this to happen, it’s very disappoint how easily it scratched by simply putting on the case without any actual use. I used the Commuter Series for my iPhone 11 which was good for two years until I decided I wanted a new case. I want a full refund

Great product, shame about the slow shipping speed
I am a long-time fan of Otterbox cases - I've had them on both my previous iPhones and have been really pleased with the level of robust protection they provide. Otterbox seem to be way off the curve compared with other similar companies in terms of their shipping policies, though. It took over two weeks for my case to arrive (similar Otterbox cases were available for free-next day delivery from Apple or Amazon), so it just doesn't make it worthwhile buying direct from the manufacturer. Pick up your game, Otterbox, please, and bring the quality of your shipping performance in line with the fantastic performance of your products.

I bought this case a few months ago. The case is still in great shape but over time it slowly changed to a yellow color. I keep my phone in good shape and don’t put it down on any dirty surfaces. Wouldn’t recommend if you don’t want your case to yellow over time.

I'm not too sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but within 24 hours it was scratched. I brushed it off at first, but there are multiple scratches in less than a week. Pictures are from three days after getting the case. I'm glad my phone itself has none but annoyed the case was easy to scratch.
I might just be dramatic about this - I'm just annoyed that it got scratched so fast.

The Case Feels Good In Your Hand
I have purchased several Symmetry cases, black, clear, and orange. I like the way the case feels in my hand, and it protects the phone. The only concern is the orange looks dirty even with wiping it down with a baby wipe, which can remove motor oil off your hands. LOL

It scratched easily. Very obvious. You can see marks after first day of use.
I took it off and used a competitor. I won’t say who but a lot better and sturdier than this.

Purchased a stock case when I bought my iPhone 11. Hated it from the start. It was slippery to hold and I was afraid it would dropped out of my hand constantly. I researched OtterBox and check with Customer Service to make sure their cases were not slippery. Upon receipt of the OtterBox case I proceeded to pry the old case off ( needed brute strength). The OtterBox installed in seconds. I am thrilled it is not slippery and with the clear case I can show off my pretty yellow phone!!

Scratches on it when received
I recently received my otterbox case and was sooo excited to open it but when I opened it was not happy... there were scratches all over the back side of it.. besides that, I love the case. I feel my phone is protected and the case is not bulky like others. Hopefully when I contact customer service something can be done for me regarding the scratches. If not, I will have to return :(

In my iPhone lifetime, I’ve tried loads of cases, some designer, some sold with protection in mind. I originally bought this otterbox case for my XR because my daughter had it and I loved the sparkly design on my white phone. But the reason I bought it again for my iPhone 11 is more than that, it feels great and secure to hold, the protection is second to none & yes it looks great. I couldn’t recommend more highly & my daughter also bought one for her upgrade too!

The case works well but it started to have a yellow stain/ tint after a few months - I stopped using it because it looked dirty all the time (the yellow is stained into the product and it does not wash off. I would not recommend buying clear.

My first Otter Box was a full protection with screen. Thought I was getting something comparable. I found the selections minimal and obvious didn't understand what I was purchasing so the face of my phone is without protection. Can' afford another $50 to get a cover for the face of my Iphone.

Saved my phone
I’ve had this case since I got my phone 2 years ago and it has never let me down. I left my phone on top of my car and was going 80 on the interstate it flew off and landed in the left shoulder rumble strip. I later found it not cracked or shattered/broken in anyway and the case was just scuffed up on the corner. Truly a lifesaver case for my phone.

THREW IT DOWN CONCRETE STAIRS
I am a chronic phone dropper and thrower and my phone has barley any cracks. i dropped it down a flight of concrete steps and nothing. the case is now cracking on the corners, but it still effectively saves my phone every time.

So Disappointing!
Cons: I was so disappointed to unbox my Otterbox case to find scratches on the inner screen of the case. I cleaned the case to see if I could somehow remove the scratches but to no avail.
Pros: Although I’m disappointed in this case. This is the second case I received from Otterbox since my last case was stolen from my mailbox. They did honor their warranty and sent me this case. So props to customer service for sticking to their warranty and made reordering this case go smoothly. I just wish this case was scratch resistant as Ottetbox claims it to be. :(

Very Expensive piece of plastic
I recently purchased this Case to protect my brand new iphone 11. As soon as I opened the package and looked at the case I realised that this is in no way going to protect my very expensive iPhone, I will be returning this very expensive piece of plastic as soon as I possibly can.

I love to get OtterBox products because I know they are the safest to protect my iPhones. I especially love this one because it is clear with glitter in it therefore showing off the red iPhone 11 that I purchased while protecting it with flar!

I bought this case after my other otterbox had its volume buttons fall out because I truly loved my otterbox and it kept my phone super protected. Unfortunately a week after this case came in the mail the power and volume buttons are all loose and wiggle in their place. I’m extremely disappointed by this because of how truly great these cases are at protecting phones.

I bought this case a few weeks ago, and I’m an absolute nightmare for dropping my phone! Having bought a brand new phone in perfect condition not having a decent case scared me incase I smashed the screen! So far so good, I’ve dropped my phone a handful of times and not even a scratch thanks to the Otterbox phone case which provide complete protection! Not only that, the glitter design on my phone case gives it that extra shine!

Good case - however....
Overall, I really like the sleek design of this case. It fits in my hand well and feels sturdy. I've dropped my phone a couple times since putting the case on and my phone survived. However...I have grown used to Otterbox products coming with a screen protector. The last case I bought was for an iPhone 5 that I had for a really long time, so I'm not sure when not including a screen protector became standard practice. I find it absurd that the sticker price is over $40 and they can't include a simple screen protector like they used to. I understand that the design of the case is supposed to keep the screen from getting cracked, but there's no protection to keep the screen from getting scratched.
Like I said, the case is nice to look at. It does scratch easily and shows finger prints constantly and doesn't come with a screen protector.

I ordered this case like a month ago, it got lost in the mail and luckily I emailed customer service and got sent a new one! This case is reaaaally good! The back is so pretty with the glitter and the plastic on the back of the case is hard plastic. The bumper is somewhat of a softer plastic but it is perfect. The case is really protective of the phone and it is a bit hard to remove it, which I see as a good thing, meaning if you drop your phone, your case won’t break and go flying everywhere. If you think about buying this case, do it!! So worth the money

Great phone case
I bought this product online about a week ago and the shipping was fast with no issues. I bought this phone case to protect my new iPhone 11. The product itself is great, I haven’t dropped my phone yet so I haven’t witnessed if it is good at protecting my phone but the case is just the right amount of thickness around the sides that it would survive a fall. Some people say that this case is slippery but I disagree, I live in Australia where it is very hot and I don’t find it slippery at all, even when I have sunscreen on my hands. The only downside to this case is it scratches quite easily which is a shame as it is on the back of the case where the colour of my iPhone is. Also, the case gets a lot of finger prints on it and is hard to rub them off.

I love how the case feels and fits! I chose the glitter case which looks absolutely dazzling in real life. The buttons on the side feel nice to touch. The case fits very snugly on the phone, it feels sturdy and protected. Was hesitant to buy it at first due to the cost but I have no regrets!

Have had this for a little bit, and it’s SO scratched. Never dropped it, and only put it in soft places (pocket, purse, etc.). It’s insanely scratched as if i’ve had it for a year. kinda sad to pay 50 bucks and have it so easily wear.

I bought this case thinking it was going to look really good with my red iPhone 11 and because it claims to be scratch resistant but I noticed that there was scratches already on it prior to me inserting my phone and I thought they’d come off but they don’t and they’re on the interior it almost looks like it’s cracked internally. I’ve seen other reviews similar to mine which proves to show I’m not the only one that received a scratched case.

Happy going from a Defender case to Symmetry
I am enjoying the thinner case. I do have an additional glass cover on the screen. If I needed the protection of totally covering all openings for work or sport I would purchase both covers, great to have less bulk in my pocket!

Cute but scratches easily
Love this case but for an otter box it is surprisingly scratched up after only about a week of day to day use. I’m not sure how long it will look this cute if everyday wear is causing visible scratches already.

I bought this case a year ago. It is ver slippery and constantly slides off my lap or out of my hand. I have to say it has protected my phone with all the times it dropped. I wanted the clear case to show off my pretty purple phone, but it is very scratched up and the clear is now a yellowish color. It has protected my phone but it is ugly.

This is my second purchase of this exact case. The one on the left is 2 years old. I’ve given it a run for it’s money. Ended up breaking the case, but my phone was flawless. No scratches or breaks. The rubber parts of the case do begin turning brown after some time, but for the protection it gives, you can’t beat it. The new case on the right is in perfect condition. These are worth the money. Don’t skimp out on a cheap case if you value your phone. This is a perfect example of pretty AND functional.

This is my fifth purchase from Otterbox. The cases are robust, well designed and do not hinder the functionality of the phone. When you are spending increasing amounts on the handset it's worth investing in a case that will protect it - so far Otterbox hasn't let me down.

I haven’t really dropped my phone yet, so I can’t speak on the protection from that side yet. As others have said, the back does scratch easily. I usually go with defender cases, and what I like more about this case is it’s much slimmer and easier to hold.
