Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way slower I have 600 Mbps wireless connection with my current router but these power lines won't even go above 30 Mbps. No matter where I plug them in or what cord I use even when all the lights are solid green it runs awful and slows everything else down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slow speed House is wired with coax, not ethernet. Bought this to connect wife's Mac to Internet modem in another room, to supplement wireless. Discovered that it would not support Facetime because speed was <30 MBPS. Pulled them and gave them away. Substituted Xfi pod hardwired to the Mac, gets >300 MBPS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed I purchased this for my older Condo. I have a fast 400+ Mbps internet when my laptop is plugged into the router by ethernet cable. Hoping to have my desk moved to a back bedroom, approx. 150' away and using a ethernet cable plugged into the extender, all i could get throught extenders was 38 Mbps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! This is a great product and very easy to use. But it’s a bit confusing. When my Apple TV is t streaming anything the LED are all green indicating the fastest connection. But as soon as I start streaming a movie, the LED turns red.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Easy Solution Because of the layout of my house, 5G Wi-Fi was not getting from my router on the second floor to the 55" 4K Android TV on the first floor. The Netgear PL 1200 provides an easy plug-and-play solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing By far, the best thing I’ve purchased in a long time!!! My PlayStation was on the opposite side of the house from my router and I live in a log cabin so the WiFi was needless to say extremely slow, I purchased this from Best Buy, set up was simple and now I’m playing games at a much faster speed, couldn’t be happier

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 Thumbs Up! Easy to set-up! I live in an old house (plaster walls and even with a WiFi extender speeds were slow (~25Mbps on the 5G band), and slower on the 2G which was the only band that made it to the basement were my backup drive is located. Old house = old wiring (still some knob and tubing lurking about) which, I knew would impact the Powerline. I am getting about 44 Mbps with the Powerline, considerably better than WiFi. Speed/connection is more stable with the Powerline. Backups go faster and for the computer away from the router, downloads are faster using the Powerline vs. WiFi. Very happy with it, much better than drilling holes and snaking an Ethernet cable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from And excellent alternative! To poor WI-FI streaming if you have weak or poor WI-FI streaming in your inviroment such as your home or office this is a excellent alternative you use the available electrical outlets to create a much more powerful connections for streaming movies, sports or whatever your favorite entertaintment might be,and the best part is no installation required just simply plug it in the wall and your modern that's it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerline 1200 I had some difficulty at first. I ran back and forth from the house to the shop 50 times trying to get this item to work. Then it hit me! This product sends signal through the house electrical system. They can’t communicate if the power source at each side is different. I ran a temporary line 150 feet to my shop from my house, plugged them in and they worked great. I’ll have to bury a permanent line in conduit in the spring. A tad more work than I expected, nevertheless, I have wifi where I need it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerline 1200 Works great. Only thing that bothers me is the need for it to be plugged in directly to the wall outlet. It would lose connection suddenly but most of the time, a simple reboot would correct the issue. Wouldn’t use all the time unless I absolutely cannot run a hard wire.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed I am not very techy so I called my internet provider asking to drop a new coaxial line at a new location because I needed an Ethernet connection for my new job and needed to set up at a different part of my house for some quiet. They informed me of this product and I was reluctant. But I had to try it and found that it was perfect. It was easy and simple to set up. The connection stays strong and I am able to perform my job without any internet troubles. Very happy with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not great for what you pay I payed over 90 dollars for this, not including the extra ethernet cables I had to get because the ones it came with were so short (I understand shorter is better for data transfer. I have gigabit connection and this limited me to 32mbs, when swapping back to wifi my speeds went back up and over 200mbs. If you have a small house with a system electrical system, sure this might be for you. But absolutely not for the price. I will be returning mine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ancadel Can't ask for anything easier to use. It took me less than five minutes to set it up and it worked as advertised The best part was the money I saved avoiding to run a wire to the upstairs area. Highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Internet Hero My desktop's internal WiFi card is TERRIBLE. So terrible that it can't detect a hotspot from my phone even if I rest my phone right on top the chassis. That's where the Power line 1200 comes in. I used to have a TP Link powerline card, but it stopped working after a single month. I got the Powerline 1200 and my internet was FAST. I went from a 10 Mbps average download speed to a 160 Mbps average download speed. The Powerline 1200 is amazing and I recommend it to EVERYONE that wants a just as good alternative to Ethernet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It’s ok I bought this to improve the WiFi connection to a game system that’s in the basement. No matter what I try the connection flashes amber. The information out there about troubleshooting this is limited and basically the only suggestion is to move it to a “better” outlet or reset to factory settings. I tried the reset but you can’t tell if it actually worked or not. My son says it’s working better than without the PowerLine so I guess that’s something but I expected to get what I paid for.
