HP SmartBuy ProDesk 400 G9 Core i5-12500T 8GB RAM 1TB is rated 2.00 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleased so far. At the moment I'm rather unsure about the HP Mini. Right now it seems to be running although it took the usual couple of days to get Windows to the point where it was even sort of running usefully. Microsoft seems to be getting slower and more laden with silliness lately. But then some of your software also seemed to be part of the problem. Example: When I opened a Word document nothing happened for a long time until. eventually it opened up in an odd window that was an HP box of some sort. I went looking to see what was going on and found an enormous list of HP software items. I have no idea yet what any of your stuff does and I may get back to try to figure that out. For now I'm still trying to get the software I use downloaded and functioning. Once that's done, I will see if I can see what it is you folks are so proud of. I like the machine so far, but I go a long way back with computers. Back to the days of Radio Shack's Trash 80 and a clone of an apple 2 which I built from scratch under the leadership of a collection of guys at McMaster University who ran a course for a couple of dozen of us. Bare board, solder the chip sockets into place, load up the chips, and then send the thing off to be tested and the BIOS installed. Great fun. It lasted a couple of years before something fried it. I suspected lightning. I built another desktop many years later. A standard desktop with most of the bits in place but needing to be plugged in and the ribbon cables run. Things are not so simple now. I have this new toy running and will, I think, find it a decent computer. Fingers crossed for now and if you want to repeat this request in another couple of weeks I will see if I can report more sensibly of it for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Avoid this setup, add more RAM Should not be sold with 8GB of ram. Woefully slow, and CDW sales support is incapable of providing the correct RAM upgrade.
