This cross-cut shredder features a continuous runtime of 5 minutes with a cool down period of 30 minutes. It shreds 8 sheets per pass into 0.156 inch x 2 inch cross-cut particles. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement Purchase.Since I just acquired the shredder which is a replacement for my original PowerShred PS 55 which I have had for over twenty years, it is too soon to really rate this new shredder. However, since I had the PowerShred PS 55 for all of these years and was extremely pleased with it, I felt that replacing it with another Fellowes product would be the way to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They make it easier every yearI hate writing reviews but the Powershredder deserves one because it is the easiest to use shredder. If you have owned a shredder you know that emptying it always leaves shreds all over the place. No longer... this one works quickly and relatively quietly and all one needs do is pull out the plastic canister and voila... task completed. So glad my older shredder (not a Fellows) broke so I could upgrade to this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works good for home useWE purchased the shredder to dispose of a few years of old tax and business files. It did a lot of work in a short time. It did heat up if fed to fast, but if fed slow with short pauses it worked fine. The number of sheets fed through at once was not what was stated,at 6, but 2 or 3 worked fine and no heating issues. It jammed a coupleof times,at first, but by following instructions was unjammed easily. Now the major shredding job is done, I do not see any problem shredding what will be coming up in the future.

It is so easy to work, and lightweight in handling. We look forward to having this for a long time. We only use this for our daily mail and documents that we no longer need. It is a relief to know that it is shredded to the best that we can do.Thanks for the quick service we received after ordering it.
