But i decided to troubleshoot first and discovered the AC adapter was cold to the touch. Contacted sales to make sure i chose the right one for my all-in-one, received it quickly and now I'm back in business!

Customer service was amazing and helped me find the right one (my computer wasn't listed as compatible for any). The cord was much longer than I expected, my old one was maybe half the size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Charger works, but Dell site recommended wrong size Charger works well, replacing one that I lost in a move, but when I originally looked up the Precision M6800 laptop accessories on the Dell website, the recommended charger was the 180W one I ordered. Turns out the proper charger for this machine is the 240W one. My computer complains about the smaller charger, but so far it's worked for home use, and I can't afford to pay twice for the bigger one. The website should have recommended the proper charger in the first place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fatal Design Flaw Dear Dell, I write to inform you that your first-party power adapter for the Alienware 15 R2 contains a fatal design flaw. The light-up bit of plastic on the tip that goes into the laptop is quite fragile it seems. And should it break, as mine did, the wires underneath become exposed and after that, it is only a matter of time until they get frayed and eventually split. I'm rather disappointed Dell, because you guys make a quality product (except for this charger). And while the light-up tip on the charger is flashy and makes for a nice design touch, it really needs to be corrected because I assure you, I am not the only person this has happened to. Please help me Dell. Please.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Got the 180w as a travel power pack I have an Alienware17 and the 240w that came with is is MASSIVE but works... this one is "supposed" to work but when you plug it in it says not compatible and your system will continue on battery. Also not the same as pictured and no rubber strap to hold the cords when traveling. Contacted Dell to replace it... we'll see what happens.
