Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surpassing Expectations: Crucial P3 Plus Outshines 990 pro I recently had the opportunity to test the Crucial P3 Plus 2TB SSD on both a Raspberry Pi 5 and a MacBook Pro (Mid 2015, 15-inch) and was thoroughly impressed with its performance. Surprisingly, it outperformed the Samsung 990 Pro, delivering a read speed of about 2500 MB/s on the MacBook and 1989 MB/s on the Raspberry Pi. The speed and efficiency of this SSD surpassed my expectations, especially given the notable performance against other top-tier competitors. Highly recommend for anyone looking for reliable and speedy storage solutions!

Simple app to determine correct one purchased etc. Had some issues detecting the drive outside of BIOS due to no drivers, but this was solved with an ether cable and not trying install over WiFi. I download a lot of games and the 1 TB fills up too fast for me, so 2 TB gives me the extra space to not have to delete my games.

Primarily used for an accounting application with hugh data files. One concern, the SSD sits partially under the exhaust fan and heat sink for the main processor. The SSD plastic case has warped exposing the SSD circuit board. That hasn't affected performance so far but concerned if it will degrade over time.
