Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable, Widely-Compatible DDR4 SODIMMsThese units are working great on both our 8th-gen Intel platforms and AMD Ryzen 2-gen platforms alike, e.g. ProDesk 400 G5 SFF and EliteDesk 705 G4 DM. Although they work fine with the Ryzen 5 2400GE, realize 2666 MHz DDR4 is actually considered optimal for that platform and HP themselves ship 2666 MHz RAM with them. Nevertheless, unless the target users are running particularly memory-intensive applications, running twin 8GB modules like these in dual channel provides a noticeable increase in performance over single channel in addition to the benefit of just having more total system RAM. Do your users have several tabs open in Chrome, Firefox, or Edge, have Word and/or Excel desktop apps frequently open, along with another program or two? If so, 8GB of system RAM might be holding them back, resulting in expanding and expanding page files which reduces SSD life, particularly if a static pagefile isn't configured.Anyways, these are just great modules that don't have any unnecessary bling or fake heat spreaders like some of the competitor models, which often have to be removed to actually fit in a small PC's SODIMM slots (unless you just use one -- then the thickness doesn't matter).
