Great quality and affordable!
I bought this camera back in 2023 and I've had a great experience with it! I do primarily portraits (indoors and outdoors) and product photography. I was surprised how well it worked in low lighting. The kit lens works very well! I have a few photographer friends who hate on kit lenses but the 24-105mm kit lens worked just fine for me for the longest time. I still use it on occasion, but I have purchased the 24-70mm, 50mm, and 100mm lenses to be utilized with the camera as well.

Light, Feature Packed, and Great Images
I shoot professional images and had previously purchased the EOS R. I tried to get used to that camera which offered impressive image quality, but...
The accessibility to 'reach' the features needed to readily produce incredible for me was just not there.
After much research and experimentation I sold the EOS R and tried the EOS RP. Incredible photographic tool and in a weight and size that makes it so easy to pack into the high mountains to use for landscape images.
With a large stable of L lenses that I use with my DSLRs and a couple of RF lenses this little gem is quite the addition to my quality camera gear!
If you haven't already, give this amazing EOS camera a go!

Good camera for the price
I was trying to decide between the R and the RP. I decide to purchase the RP as an entry way into the mirrorless camera world. I'm glad I did. The RP takes excellent pictures and I can use my EF lenses with the adapter. I use the RP as my main camera.

Excellent camera.
I have been using digital cameras since 1966 and I can honestly say this is one of the best for my experience. I’m a Canon camera user and before the RP I had Canon 90D a very impressing camera, it was large and heavy for me and getting the RP it was the best decision for me. The kit lens 24-105mm is an excellent pair for this camera and I can’t wait to go outside to photograph the beauty of our world.

Great Camera!
Great camera. Would like a higher frame per second. Kit should have an SD card so you can play right away!

Excellent value.
Excellent for the price (I got it with a discount code direct from Canon). The RP is entry-level priced, but with appropriate use can generate excellent results. The ergonomics are really good, the touchpad operation works better than in other cameras I've tried, and I've been pleasantly surprised by the STM zoom - has some real limitations (soft corners wide, rapidly darkening aperture) but as a walk-around outside zoom, does a nice job, given the price.

Nice pictures from this small camera
I like the RP’s small size and easy access to all functions. Easy transition from my 70D
I purchased the RP with the 24-105 mm f4 lens. Photos are sharp at all focal lengths using this zoom lens. Very pleased with the pictures coming from this camera.
I am disappointed that it does not have a faster FPS.
I use the optional adapter for my EF lenses. I have had no issues using these lenses with this camera.
Battery life is shorter than on my 70D
Overall I am very pleased with the RP.

Defective after 4 uses, less than 1 month
This Camera ended up having some serious problems inside one month, after using it about 4 times it was no longer working. Made my wife very disappointed as it is an Anniversary present. I had to get an Ipad for her as well to keep her happy lol. If it wasnt for the decent service and free shipping to Virginia to get this camera fixed under their limited warranty, I would of put one star. Actually our camera is still getting fixed we have not gotten it back from Canon as of yet

Great camera…. Accessories necessary!
It’s been great so far. I would definitely recommend the extension grip if you have large hands. The lens mount with control ring is also handy if you have ef lenses from another camera you would like to use. Keep in mind the eos rp does not have a built in flas so you should consider investing in one if you need to.

Don't like it.
I have been using a EOS Rebel XSI for probably 10 years. I can actually see sharply and clearly through the view finder what I'm taking a photo of. I'm over 45 and that is an advantage. I never use the big digital screen. I'd have to wear reading glasses. On the EOS RP, nothing is clear. Not the view finder or the digital screen even if I use readers. Very, very disappointed. Not all your camera users are 20 years old! Hate the auto focus. If I put an object in the center of the visual field focus on it! Not around it. Not to the side. Not above, not below. Thank goodness these are digital photos. I've already deleted 50 that are out of focus. Never had that problem with my old DSLR. You put the main subject in the middle and it focused on it. Or, if you wanted an offset photo, place the bullseye over the object, push the shutter release halfway down to focus, hold it, and then move to the side for the composition that you want. My husband paid so much for this camera for me for Christmas. I don't know how to tell him I hate it.
