Tripp Lite's 4-port Desktop USB KVM Switch is the optimal solution for controlling up to 4 USB computers from one VGA monitor and USB keyboard/mouse. The B006-VU4-R is operating system independent, and works with all computers that have an available VGA and USB port. It supports video resolutions up to 2048 x 1536, and features a compact design that does not require software or complicated set-up procedures. Constructed of heavy-duty steel housing. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little switchI got this switch to replace another brand older PS2 KVM. It work well, but some of the machines stopped recognizing the mouse or keyboard through the switch.Worked great with my favorite mouse and keyboard, seems pretty solid.

Our rep from local electronics supply co. came out with this unit while I was out. Got back and was surprised it doesn't come with cables but cost $40+ more than the other one. But the important thing is IT WORKS GREAT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have two towers and one laptop connected via thisI've had my 4-Port KVM Switch for about 1.5 years now and love it. The front controls enable me to conveniently switch systems, and the indicator lights show which one is "active". Having the keyboard and mouse USB ports on the front of the unit is nice. I have several other Tripp Lite products and have had great experiences with them all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More Trouble Than It's WorthThis KVM switch will work, as long as we jimmy the power cord at the unit sufficiently to keep it connected to power.At times we've had to wrap the cord multiple times around the switch to (finally) get a reliable connection.Not recommended at all.
