We are in the implementation stage of GTB Technologies Inspector and we use it for inspecting our sensitive data between departments and third parties. It can be used as a Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB). We are in the monitoring stage, and gathering all the information. Then after one month, we are going to implement the blocking mode. It functions similar to a firewall because they have security policies and many configurations. What is most valuable? The most valuable feature is we can develop what we want. If we have an old or new requirement, they are able to support us to develop it all within one month. They are matching our all requirements for the Cloud and on-premise by providing customization. Additionally, there is an encryption method in the main endpoint where it can encrypt and decrypt in the flow. When the industry changes they are able to adapt and stay current with the features requeired. What needs improvement? The solution could improve by providing additional availability requirements. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using GTB Technologies Inspector within the past 12 months. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The solution is stable but we could run into some difficulties when we move to the blocking stage. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The solution is easy to scale. We bought the solution for 3,000 end users. How are customer service and technical support? We have not needed to contact the technical support and have used our internal team. When we progress in our implementation we might run into difficulties that we will need to communicate with them. How was the initial setup? The installation is easy, it runs on Windows and Linux systems. The implementation could be easier. What about the implementation team? We used integrators and there were some communication errors with the requirements we needed. We have one engineer that can handle most of the requirements. However, there are times we have to hire three to four engineers to handle the maintenance. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? When comparing GTB Technologies Inspector to other solutions you receive a good value for your money when considering all the features and benefits. We were able to sign a flexible licensing agreement. Other companies require a minimum number of licenses but with this solution licensing structure does not require it. Which other solutions did I evaluate? We have evaluated approximately six other solutions. What other advice do I have? When comparing other products to GTB Technologies Inspector is the best solution for the financial sector. I rate GTB Technologies Inspector an eight out of ten. Our clients use this solution to know what is happening in the network and to analyze it. What is most valuable? Trend Micro is a good solution and our clients are happy with it. I like the sales operations testing and support. The ecosystem is good, it's the best. It's also simple to manage. What needs improvement? I would like to see integration with third-party tools to improve the visibility of the dashboards. For how long have I used the solution? I have been working with Trend Micro Deep Discovery Inspector for two years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The stability is good. We have not experienced any issues. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Scalability with Trend Micro Deep Discovery Inspector is very good. We are satisfied with the scalability. We do not have users in our company, we use the systems with our clients. How are customer service and technical support? The technical people are good. We don't have any issues with technical support. Local technicians and global support are very good. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We also use one other solution. How was the initial setup? The initial setup can be simple, and at times it can be complex when changing the solution. It is less than a week to deploy Trend Micro, but it can change per the solution type. For some solutions, it can take a week, and for others solutions with complex projects, it can take a month. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Depending on the client's requirement, it can be cheap and at times, more expensive. Overall, the price is good. What other advice do I have? For others who are interested in using this solution, I would recommend it. I like working with this solution. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Intuitive, user-friendly, and easy to use solution that helps to detect advanced threats and attacks What is our primary use case? I work for a distribution partner company. We use the on-prem, physical model of this solution. What is most valuable? It's intuitive and has a user-friendly interface. It's also flexible. We can put files, web links in this solution through other Windows. The most valuable feature is that the user can customize images of virtual machines in the sandbox functionality. The other vendors only use images that were created by the vendor but not the customer, end-user or partner. This helps to detect advanced threats and attacks. It helps to clone the internal structure, IT structure of some companies. So you could clone the computer of the director or the financial department and place it to the sandbox. The bad guys who are looking for a way to get into your organization when they get to a computer, they think that it's a real computer. They see software or something connected with finance and they think that this is a real computer and not a laboratory or a sandbox so they run the bad script and think that they're stealing some important information or encrypting some important information. Antivirus solutions can stop attacks when they know how these attacks play out. If we don't know how the attack is going to go, we can't identify it. It customizes the images and Trend Micro helps to identify these unknown attacks. Different parts of the organization can quickly receive information about the bad scripts. It helps to protect the organization's infrastructure from these attacks. What needs improvement? We'd like to see more video guides. I'd also like for them to increase the numbers of different virtual images. Now the solution can use only three different images. For example, it's Windows 7, Windows 10, and the Windows servers are 2016. Only three of them at the same time. It would be more useful if the solution can operate with around five or six different images like Windows 7 2019, Windows 8.1. I would like the ability to analyze all files in our internal network, at the same time on different operating systems. Not just three of them, but as many as possible. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using this solution for a year and a half. What do I think about the stability of the solution? It's very stable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It's a solution for enterprise antivirus protection. It's not for small companies. The price of this solution corresponds to its class. In my company only I use this solution. It's a stand-alone laboratory. It's a stand-alone server that analyzes files, URLs, and messages from all IT infrastructure in an organization. It's not a solution for one person or 10 people. It's a solution for all employees inside an organization. How are customer service and technical support? We haven't had the need to contact technical support. It's very easy to use. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? The main difference from other solutions is that it uses customized images inside sandboxes. They're similar in functionality. All of them run, scan, and notice every change that some files, some scripts, some links do inside the system. The environment is imported inside the sandbox and in this way, Trend Micro is the leader in the world's markets of sandbox solutions. How was the initial setup? The initial setup was straightforward and very easy. You don't need special knowledge or courses to complete an installation of this solution. It's very easy. What about the implementation team? The most valuable features are monitoring for advanced persistent threats, the system runs in a sandbox allowing for effective zero-day exploits management, and the Inspector has a built-in sandbox. What needs improvement? The solution needs to be able to integrate better with third-party infrastructure. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using this solution for approximately five years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The solution is stable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We have customers that are small and enterprise-sized companies using this solution. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is at a moderate level of difficulty. However, we are qualified and for somebody quite new to the solution it could be more difficult. It is not usual for the end-user to start the process themselves. Usually, they are assisted with a partner or with Trend Micro themself. It is not a matter of how complex the solution is, but how much experience they have with the setup. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The price of the solution is lower compared to the competition. Which other solutions did I evaluate? The primary use case of this solution is to protect the equity, command, and control and botnet infections. What is most valuable? The most valuable features are the protection and that it is fast. What needs improvement? I would like to see them create a rule where It could integrate with the network and start mitigating with auto-detection. For how long have I used the solution? I have been working with this solution for six months. What do I think about the stability of the solution? This solution is stable we have not had any issues. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We have plans to scale it to FortiGate. We have checked it to 10GB and it was fine. I am the only user. How are customer service and technical support? I have not contacted technical support. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? Previously, we have tried an open-source SIEM solution. SIEM is a traffic analyzer, and conflicts can be fixed. With Trend Micro, you can only categorize it. How was the initial setup? The initial setup was easy. This solution can be deployed in two days. What about the implementation team? I did not use a vendor to implement this solution. I did it myself. What other advice do I have? We are trying this solution as a POC. It's a nice product and it has really helped limit the attacks. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten. It is mainly for data classification and data leakage prevention. We currently have three customers of this solution. What is most valuable? The main thing that I like about GTB is that it has a single agent for DLP and data classification. You can use the same agent. In terms of licensing too, it has a single license. When it comes to data classification, it supports open-source document platforms such as ChainSoft and OpenOffice. What needs improvement? It would be great if they have information rights management (IRM) on the same agent. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using this solution for more than two years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? It is stable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It is scalable. How are customer service and technical support? Their technical support is okay. How was the initial setup? It has medium complexity. It is not easy but also not very complex. There are many policies to be configured. For classification, the implementation will take somewhere around one and half months for 3,000 or 4,000 users. You would require four to five technical people for this size of implementation. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Its price is very reasonable and competitive. What other advice do I have? I would rate GTB Technologies Inspector a nine out of ten. It's used for security purposes for the most part. We use it for protection. What is most valuable? The solution is easy to use. The performance is good. The solution, for the most part, is stable. The product is very easy to install. What needs improvement? The solution could be more stable and offer more security. When we get suspicious links, we need to make sure they are blocked properly and investigated. Sometimes the asset tool gets locked and I'm not quite clear as to why this happens. For how long have I used the solution? I've been handling the solution for quite a long time. It's been many years. I've had a lot of time to work with it. However, I can't say for exactly how long it's been as it's been a while. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The solution is stable, however, it could always be better, especially in terms of security. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We've implemented the product for companies that have around 500 users, give or take. We have 15 customers using the product right now. How are customer service and technical support? In terms of technical support, we have had a good experience. They are helpful and responsive. We are satisfied with their level of support. How was the initial setup? The solution is extremely easy to install. It's not overly complex or difficult to set it up. A company shouldn't have an issue with the initial setup. The deployment was pretty fast and only took us about two hours or so. You can get it up and running pretty quickly. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Our department is purely technical department and we are in place for delivering technical aspects. Therefore, I don't have access to licensing details and pricing. It's not part of my duties. Therefore, I can't speak to the exact pricing. I don't have access to that. What other advice do I have? We tend to offer our services to clients. We use multiple deployments, that include both on-premises and cloud deployments. I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. We're mostly quite happy with the product. It also helps us to monitor the cloud storage platforms like Google Cloud or Azure. What is most valuable? I am impressed with the tool's ease of deployment. What needs improvement? The product needs to improve its support so that users can just log in and create tickets as opposed to sending emails. Sending emails is difficult to track. It also needs to work on its analytics platform. For how long have I used the solution? I have been working with the solution for the past two years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I haven't seen any stability with the product. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The solution is very scalable. It can move from 50 users to 10,000 users with additional integrations. How was the initial setup? The tool's setup is straightforward. For the deployment steps, you need to download the solution, do the IP configuration, and access the product by the console. You can then build and customize as needed. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The tool's pricing is affordable and based on the number of endpoints. What other advice do I have? It helps customers protect data before it can leave the organization. It also helps classify data as well, which can be classified, for example, as sensitive, public, or confidential. The classification would be based on the context of the document. Those rules and policies can be run through the DLP to block certain documents from sharing or leaving the company. What is most valuable? If a company is sending or dealing with confidential data, it helps them protect it. The classifications in place are very helpful in making policies for ensuring sensitive data can be contained. What needs improvement? They need to improve the processing time. Sometimes the document is a little bit slow. The performance could be better. For how long have I used the solution? I've used the solution for two to three years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The stability is good. It's not that bad. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The solution is scalable. We have three or four customers that have deployed the solution so far. How are customer service and support? Technical support is good. I have not had any problems with support. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is straightforward to setup. You simply deploy the agent to the server. That's it. The time of the deployment depends on the size of the organization. If it is a big company, it might take a week. If the company is large, it might take a month. The customer needs to decide what they want to do with the data. They need to have a clear understanding of the policies they want and strategies they want to implement, as well as what kinds of documents they need to classify and block. It is available both on the cloud and on-premises. Only need one person is needed for deployment and maintenance. The person does need to have a technical understanding of the product in order to deploy it. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? I do not deal with pricing. I am on the technical side, not sales. What other advice do I have? We resell the solution to customers. If a customer wants to start using a DLP, they need to understand what they want to block or scan and what repositories they want to scan. They need a good understanding of their data.
