Rated 5 out of 5 by from work ok I picked this up to use with my car tuning laptop so that it would not get stolen while at the track,the locking mech don't fit my laptop with the way it is made with just 2 small tabs that when you twist the barrel on the tumbler they spread out and lock into place, my laptop uses more of a small heavy cable that feeds thru a small hole, if i would have known that this locking cable wasn't like that i would not of ordered it,seems to be pretty decent quality over all and a pretty good length of cable but the numbers on the tumbler is very very hard to read unless the light is just right, if its to bright out you can not see the numbers and if its to dim out you can not see the numbers, even with great eyesight they are very hard to make out what number you are on, then you are supposed to line the numbers up with these tiny holes for the combo, i found it easier to line them up to the holes the first time then take a look at the numbers just outside the holes and use those numbers instead.

I used this to lock up my laptop when I step away from my desk for lunch or meetings and I really liked the length of the cable and that it securely held my device. Noone is busting through this cable and it worked very well to protect my device. I would recommend this to anyone looking for extra device security.

I wanted something east for my kids to use on their bikes or me to use for my chainsaw while camping. This little guy meets all those needs and has not failed us yet!

It's expensive so I've left it at home for too long. This was easy to use and very self explanatory, even for a first time user.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Intimidating but easier than expected I’ve never used a laptop lock before so I wasn’t quite sure what I was doing. The instruction sheet looked intimidating but you really only use a few of the steps for basic use. I set the numbers to default, turned the reset screw as instructed, set the numbers in the small window to the code I chose and turned the screw back. The lock area on my laptop was easy to find so I inserted it with the combo in place, turned the wheel until it latched firmly then spun the numbers out of combo. Done. The release wheel doesn’t budge until you enter the right combo. They have additional accessories you can buy like an anchor but you can also affix it around something that doesn’t detach as per the instructions. It’s a nice sturdy lock though and will definitely make it so no one can walk off with it. It’s heavy duty like large dog tethers so it’s not going to be easy to crack without attracting a lot of attention.

The only negative is that the vinyl cover over the metal that forms the loop at the end of the cable is cheap in its appearance. Not sure if it was supposed to be removed or meant to stay on. Overall, this is a great lock, very happy with it.

I have been using it to lock my laptop and its so easy to use. You need to reset the lock when you first get it, but the instructions are easy to follow. I have been using this to lock up my laptop while at work and I love how quick I can set the combination lock. It fits my Dell laptop perfectly and the cable is long enough to wrap it around my desk leg. The quality of the lock is really nice. I can see this lasting for years to come! I would definitely recommend this lock for anyone with a newer laptop that wants to lock it up and protect it. It can be locked to an piece of furniture like a desk or a bed frame.

While the toolbox does lock, he said he wanted just a little extra security when it came to his property. I got this for him. He was excited, but needed to try it first. I’ve heard nothing but good things from him since taking it to work. He says he feels like his tools are much more secure and safe.

It was very light weight making it easy to carry around with my laptop but also had such a strong cord that I felt it was durable and holding it in place. The cord was also a very nice length. The lock was easy to set as well as unlock.

I've been using this lock to secure my bike when we stop to have a snack or use the restrooms and so far, I'm very pleased with its strength, durability, and ease of use. I like how the combination lock works smoothly and doesn't stick at all, an issue I've had with other locks in the past. It's nice looking and slim so stashes very well in my bike bag. It gives me great peace of mind to know that my bike is secure so I can relax and enjoy the scenery instead of stressing about a stolen bike. Would definitely recommend.

Then you can secure it around any object like a table leg so that your hardware is safe. I just got tired of the computer always being moved to a different location, so hopefully this will solve the problem.

Reading the package description it looked simple and easy to use. And it is! I love that it's a combination lock so no keys! And it's also resettable that's awesome!! I already had a chance to see the lock in action. so i wrapped the lock around the table pedestal several times. So while someone can steal the laptop, they will also take a table. The instructions on how to change the combination were clear and I set my personal combination in a few minutes. I am very satisfied.
