Great phone, battery not so much
One week old phone and stuck it inside the CT scanner to check battery quality. I found wrinkles in it, so this battery will not have a "long" life as I was hoping...even with 80% max charge rates. At least there were no foreign particles inside the cells.
So this phone replaces my first gen Xperia 1. The phone had it's overheating problems and the for the past year SD memory access issues, whenever I wanted to take a picture. Battery is at 2700 mah capacity. My current Xperia 1 V doesn't reach the advertised 5000 mah.
This new phone does not overheat at all and battery doesn't drain while not in use like my old one does. Pictures are much better vs the older model.
Audio out of this phone is also great. So good that I'm not carrying my DAP's or BT portable amps to work anymore. The Meze Rai Penta is a perfect match for this phone.

atractive phone
My first sony phone was the Experia one, it was probably my favorite of any. I was hoping this [ Experia 1/5] would be an improved replacement, not. Camera is improved but with user sacrifices, phone features are more awkward, not as convenient.

DISAPPOINTMENT
I RECEIVED MY SONY XPERIA 1V ON 7-31-2023 , BEAUTIFUL CELL NICE CAMERA AND ALL FEATURES, BUT THERE ARE 3 THINGS WHERE SONY MUST IMPROVE IT: AUDIO VOLUME IS TOO LOW, NO WIFI CALLING AND NO Esim (electronic SIM). this is making SAMSUNG TO BEAT SONY.
