At first the left side went very quiet, I had to adjust sound levels on the computer to 75/25 left/right for it to sound right. Then the right side went lower then the left, and the only way to hear anything was to crank the volume up on every device to the max level. I've stopped using these, 1 month after the purchase, because all the treble is gone and the bass is so overpowering it gives me a headache. The left side is now completely silent. Please give me a refund or replacement Sony. Thanks. Jason

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad sound I bought these headphones with confidence because they were a Sony. The sound was so low I had to put my smartphone at a strange high level of volume. The quality of the sound is not good also. Lack of powerful bass. The microphone is to low. You need to use your hand to put it in place while you talk. I bought ones by half of the price and I am no satisfied with these issues. Don't recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should be named "nobass" or smth like that. I just dont understand. The specs say "8hz" is the lower margin of the sound its capable of reproducting. That may be truth although its not very clear. I listen to electronic music and know the best parts of the songs in my playlist. With this junk there is no pleasure with the bassdrop. :/ Would not recommend event to my worst enemy.

Lucky for me, my mom bought the warrenty. Would not recommend, unless you plan on using them once a month. What's the point in headphones that only last a month-and-a-half?

I tried a pair of Skull Candy earbuds and they were not comfortable and the sound quality was not as good. Good buy and worth the extra money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Haven't had earbuds like these My dad always liked listening to high fidelity sound but preferred turntables and vinyls. Whereas I love having music on-the-go any time I want not bothering about the preparation for it. Just plug it in and play. And that's what these earbuds does best. Not the best in sound quality, could be more comfy and those little things on them fall easily. But no pair could be more durable, play with such bass and rather nice noise-cancellation at this price point. Once my mother put my sweater in washing machine without my knowledge and of course there were these buds in them. After being flooded and thrown around for 2hours they were put in a dryer for another hour at high temperature. And I find them after couple of days, plug them in and start some Boney M. only to get blown away by the sound that is the same, if not better, as before. These are unbreakable ones and in case impossible happens, you could buy another ones for the price of burrito.

Ever since this purchase I stopped looking around for other pairs because of the enjoyment that this product brought to my listening experience. Most pairs prior to this one have irritated my ears with harsh sounds and general lack of clarity. On the contrary, this pair sounds good while exceeding my expectations regarding its durability. I didn't expect it to last for long but I've been using it almost every day for the past 9 months and it still holds up. In conclusion, I recommend this pair to anyone on a budget that is on the market for a good pair of earphones that would last while having good sound quality.

I have gone through ab out 4 pairs in 2 years because one ear always goes out. My last pair just broke the other day and I am so bummed out. Would not recommend wasting money on a product you will have to continuously replace.

I have come to expect that these earbuds WILL fail, within 4-6 months. Before then, they sound great. The dynamic range is excellent, for such an inexpensive pair of earbuds. The problem is, I have purchased four pairs of them, and the right side ALWAYS fails, within the stated time period. It's a shame, too, as they're really good, up until then. The only reason I keep buying them IS because they're so inexpensive. As long as you fully understand what you're getting in to, you won't be disappointed. (I'm not the only one who has had this issue. Do some research. LOTS of reviews state the user having the same problem.)

Noticed right away that the left earbud was slightly more quiet than the right, but thought that it was normal. This is the second set of Sony earbuds that I have bought that have broken in mere months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for a Short Period I purchased these headphone in October of 2017 and by April of 2018 the left earbud had stopped working. I am not the type to write negative reviews so I would like to mention that they worked well and were quite comfortable for the short time that they did fully work. I have talked to friends about these headphones as well as other Sony products and found that they were experiencing similar issues. Luckily (at least I thought) I had purchased a warranty but the process for replacement is extremely tedious and frustrating. For the price I am disappointed and would rather splurge for better quality and a more manageable warranty procedure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Value For Money Sound produced definitely can't compete with higher end earphones with better soundstage, bombastic bass, clarity and sound quality (compared to Audio Technica M50x, Bose Soundsport, Shure 315). However MDR-EX15 plays decent bass, decent clarity, and decent sound quality. For the RM30 price, no other earphones can compete with this model. I have been using and abusing this earphones for almost 2 years now, it is still working fine. I am highly satisfied.

I bought this headphones on Dec 26, 2018 and not even three weeks later, Jan 10, 19, BOTH sides have stopped working. I have tried different headphones on the same devices and those are working. This is unexpected from Sony as I own many of their products. Really disappointed with this product!

I bought these about 4 months ago, they were fine for the price at first, but one side ceased to play audio after about 2 months. I could make due with that because all I wanted were some cheap earbuds, but after a third month of use they began to behave very strangely. They are very quiet, and now whenever they are plugged in they constantly pause my music, skip around in the song or skip it completely, or trigger Siri. They are now completely unusable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do the job Generally happy with these headphones, sound quality is satifsactory and the play / pause / skip feature is a nice touch on what is a low cost product. I'm not very keen on the material used for the actual wiring, expected this to be a bit more soft and flexible but it feels plasticky and cheap. All in all they are ok for a cheap pair of headphones.

I bought these because I have an older version and I love that (a) the earbuds fit my small ears and (b) it functions like light noise-cancelling headphones. However in the new version, the microphone button does not allow me to change the volume, given that I have an iphone. I do see that if I had an Android I could install an app to get that functionality. But... why would you make a customer install an app to get extremely basic functionality????? I would expect all headphones by now to have a microphone and a volume button! I am very very very very disappointed in this design decision and now I have to go find new headphones, probably from a different brand.

Ive tried other brands but they can never match the sound quality and comfort of the 15ap. They're so comfortable I can wear them all day and not even notice them. Other brands would leave my ears sore. They don't hurt your ears when you accidently yank them out. Im not going to lie I tend to be aggressive with my earphones when pulling them out of my pocket so I always end up losing the silicone tips. So if you could please start selling replacement tips and or send me a couple hundred size small my way that be great lol

The sound quality is very good, they just don't actually let you play your music/videos.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound. Just walked to Target and got these on sale for 10 bucks. Bought them because they say Sony and they were 10 bucks, duh. The sound quality is amazing for what these ear buds are. Bass response is really good...I always use the song "High Roller" by The Crystal Method as a test track to check to see what the mids, highs and low response is for all headphones I buy - and these little earbuds passed the test with flying colors. Also, they do block out a good amount of sound. Good for traveling if that's your thing. The cord is almost 4 feet too, longer than the usual pair of headphones you get for this price. So yes, I highly recommend these if you just want a pair of light ear buds to run around with. Good stuff.

The price was great and I am able to keep a set in my car and one for around the house. Bass response not that great, but phone conversations and overall sound quality is good for yard work.

It was something to do with the mic so i got these which don't have a mic. They are cheap, but not terrible. They are comfortable to wear and I wear them running. I have accidentally put these through the washing machine not once, but twice, and they are still going. So thats not a bad thing!

It ticks all the boxes for noise isolation, sonic profile, size, comfortably, durability and cost. Also very comfortable to sleep with. These earbuds are easy worth 2 or 3 times it's price. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

For 16 ohm headphones this are pretty quiet headphones. But the noice canceling is pretty good. They fit nice in the ear canal and dump the outer noice quite well.

Cable looks thin and fragile but I had and tortured them for 4 years now haven't had any issues with that. Silicone earpieces are nice and comfortable cant even feel that you have them in your ears. Great value for money.

It's good good balance overall with slightly exaggerated mid an high reproduction; if you are a bass head then this might not be a pair to pick up. If you are willing to sacrifice a bit of low range of the spectrum BY ALL MEANS, go pick these up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great option of budget In-ear headphones I’ve had quite a few of these throughout my life and they are great if you are looking for a great cost benefit. They have a good sound quality and because they are not boosted in any specific aspect of sound, they are very versatile and can be surprising if you mess around with the equalization on your device. The design might be good, slick and discreet but because of the cable’s thinness and overall format, they can be really fragile against tension and knots, which you get a lot if you just throw them around or stuff them in your pocket without much care. Pro tip here is that regardless of it’s price you should take good care of these to get the most out of them. P.s: It’s the ideal pair of headphones for temporary use or if you have another for a more “professional” use and enjoyment of music.

Didn't have much expectation, just needed a quick replacement. HOWEVER, they sound A LOT better than my beats. It worth more than the price I paid. Highly recommended for a quick replacement (like studying in library). They are really good!

Purchased back in November, first pair broke after 5 days, exchange was seamless at PC world as was still within the warranty period, however after a good few months with want seemed like an excellent replacement, the speakers seem to have blown? I mailed Sony as per the manufacturer guarantee a number of weeks ago and I've had zero response. Verdict dissapointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound but long cord and only lasted 8 months The sound is great and the earbuds fit snuggly in the ear, blocking out outside sound. However, the cord is way too long. In addition, after 8 months of using them about 2-3 times a week at the gym, the right side of the headphone stopped working.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable but that’s it... I received them as a gift and DIDN’T LAST TWO DAYS. I only used them for working out no sweat got on them and the next day they played with too much base and static. No damage to the outside they just are unuseable at this point. I absolutely could not recommend this to anyone. It is actually impossible to describe how infuriating it is to have earbuds not last more than a few months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easily breaks I have bought about 3 of these earbuds in the past 2 years. The first time the sound quality died. The second time both of the physical ear buds itself fell off. The third time one of the ear buds fell off, but still produced good sound. Then today, out of the blue, while I was watching a video, the sound just stopped and now this pair is broken. Don’t know if I should get another Sony pair or not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good sounding light weight earphones. Easy to conceal within clothing. Trusted company with a good 12 months warranty. It would have been nice to have a volume rocker button to control the volume level. Except that it's great! I would say medium bass but sound reproduction, audio clarity and fidelity on the microphone is also good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Misleading Packaging showed a Mic and said "hands free" calling. the button on the headphones doesn't pick up phone calls or act as a microphone. When plugged into phone, the sound cuts in and out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for what they are I’ve had them for about 2 years now and I’ve used them with my laptop and phone, but about a month after I got them, I got a pair of wh1000xm3s, so they don’t see too much usage, I usually wear them when the headphones take up too much space and compared to the headphones, the sound is a little airy if that makes any sense and the bass isn’t as heavy but otherwise they make a good alternative and replacement if the headphones die.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not good I bought them 2 or 3 months ago and I thought that it was only me, but the right headphone seemed to be a bit quieter than the left one, until it recently became completely obvious that the right headphone is indeed quieter and now it's become quite annoying. Don't buy these, it's much better to invest in a pair of better headphones. The sound quality is ok, but nothing special. There is a lot of compression going on at times, but it's kinda expected since the product is cheap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Right ear went dead after 2 months I’ve bought 3 pair since December 2018.. The right side dies every month or so.. Didn’t think Sony would produce such poor quality.
