Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trash I just bought this last week from another site. It arrived yesterday evening. All was well and easy with the setup and it sounded amazing for the hour that it worked. Then oddly, AFTER the firmware update, I heard a loud humming sound from the subwoofer and then the whole system stopped producing ANY sound. Not even with bluetooth. I have tried every option possible from factory restoring, different HDMI cables, different tv. Heck I even tried factory restoring my TV just in case. And nothing worked. There is no fix for it and even Samsung support could only offer sending it in for a repair. I am not sending it in. It isn't even 24 hours old!! It's clearly a dud and it seems to be this model number is too! I've looked on Reddit and others have complained about the exact same issue. I am returning this, quick fast and in a hurry! DO NOT BUY MODEL HW-Q600B!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stopped working within the first hour. bought the q80b tv and this together. i set it up according to the instructions and before i could get though a single movie all sound cut off. called samsung and the just told me to take it back to where i bought it. i've always loved my samsung products but this is making me rethink buying any tv audio stuff from them again.

Use it with my Vizio 65 inch TV.. just purchased the Samsung 85qn95c neo qled tv and I can't wait to connect this to it. One caveat. If you have been using it fine and all of a sudden it's not working at all with your TV ..do not panic..check the remote and the audio input..someone must have hit a button..mine is set to dj-in. I have the optical digital wire hooked to it from the TV..once changed. Back in working order. One tip: do but the 9200 wireless rear speaker that go with this sound bar. They truly were easy to hang.om the wall with one screw..then plug in power..they auto connect to the subwoofer and off we go.. the sound with them in addition to the sound bar is truly amazing.. I would be dissatisfied if I did not get the set of rear speakers..the sound goes all over the room and often get asked how are you making 360 degree sound without it being overly loud and not enjoyable. Samsung nailed it as far as latency.. when the actor is talking. The sound matches his lip movements.. it's all great, you won't regret it..I always buy Samsung .I usually just go mid grade on sounndbar and tv...but got to have the flagship smartphone.. don't buy their refrigerators. I heard their no good..but tv and sound bar plus phone..won't look elsewhere..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sounds good I bought this 3 months ago it’s definitely not trash. It’s a good sound bar. 2 hdmi ports, clear audio, and it gets loud it just doesn’t play as advertised. There’s no surround effect without purchasing the rear speakers which I bought about a month ago and no overhead effect from the up firing speakers. Played Atmos movies from Blu-ray and streaming apps no difference to me. Game pro in my opinion is by far the most immersive setting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can’t believe it is such a junk I can’t believe Samsung created such a terrible product. I bought it few days ago and it is randomly disconnecting and no sound. I used provided hdmi cable so can’t blame that. Also upgraded firmware. Seems like many people have the same problem with loosing sound. Also bass is weak and display shows “tv eARC” message 7 times for about 30 seconds after every volume change (up or down). It is seriously annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A little dubious about the quality Purchased this soundbar via Amazon - new, not refurbished. I won't go into detail about what I though about the sound quality as I could not get the sub to pair. I tried for several hours, every which way possible, based on everything anybody ever said on the internet, on how to get the sub to pair with the soundbar and it would not work. Finally had to go through the hassle of returning it (thank you Amazon for your awesome return policy), which is no fun thing. Since I returned it and looked around some more, I have found quite a few people that have issues with this particular sound bar. Don't know why I did it after all this pain and frustration, but I purchased the Samsung HW-Q700B from Amazon to replace the Q600B that I returned. Hopefully I will have better luck with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy this is you want to hate your TV and Soundbar Within a couple of weeks of buying this I started to have issues. First it wouldn't go from D.in to ARC, but I managed to figure out how to reset the soundbar and my TV to get it working again. Then it began repeatedly switching my TV's HDMI input to HDMI 3, which is where the soundbar is plugged in. I switch back to HDMI 1, or 2, or 4 over and over and it just switches back to HDMI 3. Sometimes I have to wait several minutes for it to stop switching inputs automatically. It's changed every time I sit down to play a game or watch a show from a pleasant experience into one I hate and avoid. Unfortunately I didn't have any serious issues until after the return window was closed, so I can't return it, and Samsung warranty help isn't much help. I now have to pay to ship it to them and hope that a new one, or whatever repair is done resolves the issue. This was a huge waste of money and has resulted in several arguments and headaches.

I haven’t been disappointed! The soundbar was easy to set up using the supplied guide and I was watching and listening in less than ten minutes. The difference from the previous soundbar I was using was amazing. There are many easy customization options so you can get the sound just the way you like it. I’ve had no issues and am so happy that I purchased this product.

The instructions I got with the system weren’t the best, so it took a bit to figure out how to set it up properly to get the best sound, but once I got it setup properly it filled the room with impressive sound for a bar. I am very pleased and have ordered the rear speakers to make it true surround, which should arrive in a couple of days.

My one concern is that the 2 up firing speakers does not seem to work as intended. It barely make any sounds. Maybe this can be corrected with a firmware update. Other than this one issue, I highly recommend this soundbar for basic TV steaming applications.

I had to send the sound bar back for a faulty board upon receiving it. However, once the issue was fixed, the sound is amazing! It's not only great for movies, but also gaming. The bass from the subwoofer can be overpowering, so be prepared to turn the sub's volume down lower than what you expect. All in all, this is a great setup. The price was a bit high for what you get, though.

The subwoofer would turn on and appear to pair with the soundbar, ok, but no sound would come out of the subwoofer. After several tries at re-pairing the subwoofer, powering on/off the unit, etc., it still would not work properly. I had to return the unit.

It would be great if the Soundbar(or in combination with the TV) provide a "sound comparison function" to make the user feels the difference between the previous sound and the new sound. Second, every user has his own sound he likes or feels comfortable with, thus it would be great if Soundbar(or in combination with the TV) provide an "equalizer function" to make the user adjusts the sound he likes most.

I purchased this sound system to take advantage of the Dolby Atmos Q-Symphony features of my new 65 inch QN90B Samsung Neo QLED 4K Smart TV. The setup process was very easy, the TV found and paired up with the soundbar just fine. Six day later, there wasn't any sound coming from the soundbar or woofer. I spoke with the tech folks at 1-800-Samsung, and went through every trouble shooting option available and then some. Hooked it to a different tv(nothing). Moved an older soundbar to the new TV(That worked) switched cables. It was determined I had a bad unit, and had to have it mailed in for free warranty repair/replacement. The Samsung tech Support folks were great and bent over backwards to help get the soundbar working again. I'll update this review once I get it back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad sound bar. working on couple hours i bought this sound bar to go with my samsung qn90a 85” tv. i just received the sound bar on saturday. which everything works. i tested out watching a movie on it. everything sound great that night. on sunday i turned it on to watch some sunday football and no sound at all. i unplugged and reinstalled it no sound at all. i try bluetooth on my iphone and it connected but no sound….. today i call samsung support and we tried everything… the representative to its a have a nad hardware issue and asked me to send to repair or getting my money back… so i returned it today. the sound bar only work couple hours. i asked the to resend me another one and they told me it’s out of stock

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't ignore bad reviews no issues setting it up with my samsung 75" ru8000. the bar sensed a signal on the arc hdmi port and switched channels, and the tv sent audio to the bar automatically. the bar paired via bt to two phones, and the subwoofer found the soundbar on startup. the tv remote controlled the volume of the bar. one day the arc hdmi audio cuts off. update the firmware on the bar. nothing. turn off the tv, unplug the power to the tv and bar, and unplug the hdmi (samsung cable). wait. replug in the power. connect the arc hdmi. tv senses the bar, and auto switches to it, but still nothing. pair the tv to the bar via bt and standard hdmi. in both cases, the tv senses the device, but no audio output. try via phone + bt again, and still no audio. this bar lasted less than 1 month. what a joke (on me)!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Subwoofer doesnt produce BASS at all This sound bar creates noise but the "subwoofer" shouldnt even be called a subwoofer. It is a 5" tweeter at best. I have logitech speakers & subwoofer that actually produce bass. This samsung "subwoofer" is an embarrassement & produces literally NO BASS!! I adjusted the bass to +6 & i cant even tell if the large tweeter is on. This is a waste of money & i was inhappy w/ it 1 hr after i bought it. Worst sound system purchase in my life.

The worst buy so far this year. Any help with disabling this air shut off would be helpful or returning to Samsung for refund would be nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soundbar is Average. Not Spectacular. I bought the sound bar in November 2022 when I purchased a new 55" OLED Samsung TV. The two units paired easily enough. TV is great but I would have liked to have seen the sound bar be a little more immersive. The sound is flat, and the subwoofer is very low. I'm disappointed but stuck with my purchase. If I had to do over again, I might have gone with Sonos or JBL (a little pricier) but a more satisfying sound experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So So until it died suddenly Bought this mainly because it was the entry level model that included real Atmos processing, could clearly hear what Atmos was all about (thats a plus) but found the subwoofer to be underpowered. Had decided to keep but it suddenly died (would light up but no sound) apparently a not so uncommon complaint, so had to return.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stopped working I just bought this last week and stopped working after only 2 hours. Set was easy and sounded great but while watching a movie the system just shut off by itself. Turned it back on and no sound would come from it, not even from bluetooth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Sound output but very poor quality first of all, i want to comment that this q600b sound bar has very good sound output with my q80a tv. the reason for 1 star is because of the poor quality. i placed my first order in late june 2022 and it only lasted 1 week before no sound at all. then i got a replacement and arrived in mid july. the second q600b only lasted 17 days. samsung really need to do a better job with its qa team.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Are any HW600Bs Working? my review score is temporary and conditional, and i explain why below. when it worked, it worked great, but... i bought and returned two units in less than a month because both failed soon after arriving, in precisely the same way. on setup, everything was great, including the sw9100s rear surrounds i bought. days later, it stopped playing sound from any source, including optical and bluetooth. every review here seems to say the same thing. maybe it's terminally flawed firmware and that updating via usb before using it might address the issue, which seems to require a few hours of use before it happens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't ignore the bad reviews like I did. Stay Away This is the worst electronics purchase I have ever made. I have had nothing but frustration the past several months. I would just deal with the random disconnects for a while. Maybe it was my configuration, maybe I needed a better quality cable, etc... Then I decided to try and work out the issue. So I had a new hi-speed cable, the updated firmware on a USB, and my other TV just to eliminate all of the other variables. It wasn't a bad cable - same issue. It wasn't the device sending the audio to the soundbar - same issue with the other TV. And then the firmware update - it only made the issue WORSE! I used to be able to use the soundbar for maybe an hour before it would disconnect. Now it is every several minutes. This thing is garbage. I have purchased LOTS of Samsung items over the years. Phones, TVs, watches, other soundbars, and never had issues like this. Then I see all the other reviews just like mine. What happened with this product?? Don't ignore the other reviews. Do NOT buy this product! You have been warned. I just put in a repair request and now I have to figure out how to send this thing to Samsung. Like I have giant boxes sitting around to ship this in. What a terrible experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't ignore bad reviews no issues setting it up with my samsung 75" ru8000. the bar sensed a signal on the arc hdmi port and switched channels, and the tv sent audio to the bar automatically. the bar paired via bt to two phones, and the subwoofer found the soundbar on startup. the tv remote controlled the volume of the bar. one day the arc hdmi audio cuts off. update the firmware on the bar. nothing. turn off the tv, unplug the power to the tv and bar, and unplug the hdmi (samsung cable). wait. replug in the power. connect the arc hdmi. tv senses the bar, and auto switches to it, but still nothing. pair the tv to the bar via bt and standard hdmi. in both cases, the tv senses the device, but no audio output. try via phone + bt again, and still no audio. this bar lasted less than 1 month. what a joke (on me)!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stopped working have had this for a month…barely used the tv with it until now and it just stopped working after a day. $480 just thrown dowm the toilet. and a blue dot on a tv that samsung sent a fiy to fox 3 times amd it still isnt foxed and they declined a credit or for the technician to come out again for some reason. done with samsung.
