Disheartened
The stitching of one of the Velcro tabs began to separate after only a few uses and I became aware that I would have to pay $15.00 for shipping to make a warranty claim.

The equivalent Samsonite bag was my constant companion for 15 years and hundreds of thousands of hard miles. It served me well.
This update had a few more convenient pockets to keep this road warrior organized.

Great bag
Very nice bag. I had a very similar bag for years only slightly larger. This bag has many small compartments which allowed for everything from my old bag to fit with room to spare.

Terrific Briefcase / Computer Bag
I have had a Samsonite Briefcase very similar to this one for years. It was still just fine, I just thought since i had had it so long, I needed a new one. I had hesitated a while just because the one i had had everything right where i wanted it and I was used to the way it was. Samsonite quit making it otherwise i would just have gotten another. I finally decided to get the new one and while I had to figure out where to put everything, turns out I like this one even better than the last one. The only problem I see for Samsonite is that they make such a great product that seems to last forever so their repeat sales are spread out too far. Good for us the customer, bad for them because we don't rebuy as often.

Mostly OK, issues w/Warranty and Quality Control
This is a follow up on my first review, which was originally 5 stars. So far, the bag is great. My issue was with the shoulder strap. They eyelets seemed to have been crushed either in shipment, or production. The clips that attach the shoulder strap to the bag are unable to rotate. If I pick up the bag without ensuring first that the straps are perfectly straight without ANY twists whatsoever, the strap will twist, the clip remains stationary, and it separates itself from the bag. I have almost dropped it to the concrete three times now. I contacted warranty support and they stated that they didn't have the replacement parts and I would have to ship it at my own expense or deliver it in person to see if it is eligible for repair/replacement. Such a small piece was not worth the cost. I will replace it myself and keep a better eye on the quality control of my next bag before purchase. It appears that one other reviewer had a similar issue with warranty support. There QC issue was different from mine. Hopefully theirs was an isolated incident, or I can expect to have longevity issues with my bag too. For the price, the value is not quite there.

Superior quality to other brands of similar price
I purchased a different branded laptop bag at a local store for about the same price. I ended up returning it because the zipper failed within a week of light use. I was replacing an older Samsonite bag that was well used but still in great shape, except that the shoulder strap lugs tore off. For the same price, this bag is far more rugged and I easily carry 2 laptops, along with accessory equipment, in its many compartments. I am extremely happy to have found this one directly on Samsonites' website for the best price I could compare it to elsewhere! Hopefully it wears as well as my previous version. If so, they have gained my return patronage!

Samsonite classic briefcase
Great product and constructed well. This is a replacement of a similar samsonite briefcase which lasted 5 rough years of a NYC commute.
