Defender XT holster has gone downhill
I've been using the Otterbox Defender series for my iPhones, ever since the old SE. With the change to a harder, slightly smaller shell on the XT version, the holster doesn't fit snugly, and the phone tends to fall out. Nothing that some electrical tape didn't fix, but it needs a remodel.

Must have for ease of access
For me, this clip is a must have, for convenience and ease of use. It perfectly fits around my phone, protected by my OtterBox case, and serves as an instant reminder to look for my phone if I happen to set it down somewhere and walk away.

A Fluke or Not?
I like the holsters Otterbox use for their cases, but for what ever reason this one for the iPhone 13 defender xt doesn’t fit well. The case is not properly secured and several times it is popped out, good thing the case is very protective for the phone. It was complimentary from Otterbox so I can’t complain much, I really don’t use it anymore because I don’t really trust it. Could be a fluke, Thanks.

My defender phone case is good. The holster retaining clip could use some improvement with the interaction on the case. It’s too easy for the phone to be inadvertently released from the holster.

Sturdy but bulky and awkward.
If possible, I opt for a phone holster over a pocket. Unfortunately this product did not live up to my expectations. First, it is bulky. Second, it is awkward to remove the phone from the holster when it is hooked to a belt, and extremely difficult to return the phone to the holster. Also, it is almost impossible to remove the holster from a belt because of the way the clip is designed. I'm glad it came free with my purchase of an iphone.

Poor service
I mistakenly ordered an item on Saturday. I tried canceling the order 10 minutes later. I was told it had been shipped, that was not the truth. I was going to be given a return label which will 2 weeks to refund my money I returned the item on November 14 at Front Royal ,Va. on December 3 it is still located at Martinsburg, Wv. 30 miles away. At this rate, I may receive my money in time for Easter

Can’t go wrong with OtterBox
We have always loved OtterBox but when I purchased a new phone T mobile did not have Otterbos holster, my spouse noticed that I was always not carrying phone because would not always stay in pocket and ordered it for me, as always I love it!

I should have not had to buy holster was supposed to be able to use a promo code for free holster but not provided one on website. When buying a otter box cover you should receive a holster with purchase.

Secure holster
The Defender series holster for the iPhone 14 works well as your other holsters worked with iPhones 6 & 8. I have not had a phone disengage from the holster. I have confidence in the holster to keep my phone secure.

Decent holster, but not for all phones
Bought it for my iPhone 13 defender series case because the customer service lady told me it would work. It doesn’t fit correctly and my phone falls out if it’s touched the wrong way. Dropped my phone many times

Build quality not bad design is flawed
The build quality isn’t too bad, but the design could use some work. I can’t seem to get it to stay clipped to my belt. It wants to pop off whenever I brush against something or bend down.

I’ve purchased the otter box several times and for the most part have been very pleased with its performance, however, on my last purchase I dropped the phone with the holster and the holster broke. It appears that the holster is not as tough as other models as, the plastic is a thinner gauge, not thrilled with the locking mechanism ; does not secure phone firmly enough

Be careful

If I could give it zero stars I would wouldn’t hold my 1200 dollar phone dropped it first day because it would clip in securely enough I threw it away after the third drop don’t ruin your phone get another holster

Needs improvement
This clip does not meet the standard set by previous versions I have used throughout the years. My phone is not staying secured in it properly like it has in the past when using my other OtterBox phone clips. It comes out way to easily with little force. My phone has fallen out of it many times and two of those breaking my screen protector from falling. It won’t clip in correctly sometimes so I have to verify it really did. I’ve bent the tan down to make it tighter to go in and securely clip but it keeps reverting back to its original form.

Did not receive what I ordered
I called after not receiving 1 month past ordering. They were not sure where the order was so they said they will mail me another out that day. Received it a few days later but it was not what I ordered. They mailed a case and not the holster I originally ordered. Called again and was told the original order was on back order. First time I was told that. They will discuss and may send me another holster and case. Now I guess we wait.

What’s going on?
I don’t know what is going on but the last two otterbox holsters have not held the phone securely. The phone pops off the holster with just a slight bump. I do farm work and otterbox was the only one to hold the phone secure but not anymore. I don’t even bother using the new one, i just went back to the old one and reinforced it with some tape. The trouble is that all the other brands don’t work either.
