Would like it to rotate - this would allow iPad to stand securely horizontally and vertically. The stand portion and knob on back is also bulky - and doesn’t allow the iPad to lay flat. If I had to do it all over again - I’d get a different case to better meet our needs.

In just a couple days, and after only one drop, our daughter’s iPad has a crack all across the screen. Very disappointed!!! I could’ve saved the money not buying this and have the screen break anyway.

Case is in great shape, but the stand won't stay on the back anymore, as many others have said. Submitted a warranty claim, which is ridiculous that I have to pay $11 for, but it's better than nothing. Avoid this case.

I have always loved and raved about OTTERBOX products and was actually excited by the concept of this design. I don’t feel it’s been very well executed at all. Now that the stand/handle doesn’t stay on, we have an annoying bulge out the back that makes it difficult lay flat or balance on another surface. I wouldn’t recommend this design for your child, buy a standard OtterBox instead.

So I saw this case and figured that it would be great. Well I was completely wrong. Within one week, both of my kids iPads had cracked shattered screens. So I haven’t had to pay $100 each to get them replaced. This case seems to be Geared towards kids. And should be durable enough for kids. Again, do not buy this case.

However, I do not like that it does not have a cover over the screen. My Otterbox has a clear cover over the screen making me feel it is truly protected. I ordered a screen protector because I don't trust my child not to break the screen even with the Otterbox cover.

This was a different enough design and even thought it was in the kids section, it was a color I like and felt confident as an adult I could use. Turns out the feature used to stand it up on my counter works better than the previous case I had, and it is a material that won't break easy!

The case itself is great quality, like a typical defender case by otter box as we expected, and it has been through a few good falls and you’d never know. Unfortunately, the stand didn’t last more than a few months and it no longer “snaps”/stays in place when trying to clip it to the back of the case, so my daughter no longer has a stand for her case and has to find something else to use to stand it up. Kind of a pain when there’s a huge knob in the back that is unusable. Looking into finding a different case now

We have had no issues with the case, but the handle will not stay on anymore. My husband has tried several ways to keep it on, but unfortunately, nothing has worked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not the quality expect from otterbox. We have had many, many OtterBox products on both iPads, and iPhones over the years. However, this particular iPad case my nine year old dropped from hip level and it landed on the corner. With any prior case, this was never an issue however, with this one, the screen ended up cracking on the corner even though it was only at approximately 2 foot to 2 1/2 foot drop. This is not the quality or protection we have had with prior devices, as we have been very happy with the others. This won’t discourage us in the future but maybe this particular case just isn’t quite the same standards or doesn’t offer the iPad 9 the same protection.

It’s not a defect, it is a design failure. OtterBox should solve the design issue and offer a replacement stand that works. This is a nice and relatively expensive case that should be made usable by OtterBox.

It’s worn out on both of the kids cases we purchased from OtterBox, so that when they try to stand their iPads up, the stand just slides off. It literally wore out after a week on both cases. Definitely a disappointment considering the cost of the case.

It’s great as a handle, but not very sturdy as a stand (flimsy and iPad falls backwards) and doesn’t fit well in neither my car’s headrest nor my husband’s. I understand it’s made generically and not for car specific models, but just sad it’s a feature we can’t use.

The bulk connector on the back creates a pivot point when laid wrong and now the tablet is bowed into a curve because of it. It may have had pressure put on it by a child, but the point is to protect the device from the child. Find something else not this style of case! I will try to take pics later. Less than a year old looking at a replacement case and realized I wish someone would have said this to me last year!

When it breaks off it’s going to be jagged and the handle will no longer work. Very disappointed in the construction of the case. We have never needed to buy more than one case for an ipad (we keep them for about 3 years) and this is the 3rd one we have had and this one has only help up 3 months.

Handle does not bend barely and does not stay attached to the case constantly falling off so my child is unable to carry by handle or use the handle for propping up etc.

He dropped it from standing and it landed on the corner and shattered the tablet while breaking the inside yellow part of the tablet. I assumed it was a one-off as otterbox is known for being durable. Bought the exact same case hoping it would be better because everything else about it was so great. He dropped it again, this time flat on the screen on the hardwood floor. I initially figured itd be protected because it fell so flat and the raised edges should definitely protect that. Nope. Picked it up and its shattered again. Never again will I put trust in this brand based on reputation alone. Lost a very loyal customer.

Just to only get disappointed! My girls take care of their stuff very well and with just ONE DROP, my youngest daughter iPad was shattered into pieces! Wouldn’t even turn back on! We had to pay more out of pocket to fix it. Thanks otterbox! Save your money. Don’t invest in this product.

One wrong move, & your whole screen is shattered like mine… This case was designed to destroy your electronics.. I called to in hopes have some guidance on what I need to do, because this is the first otter box I’ve owned that didn’t do its job. They don’t cover device protection, but will send you a new case… Not that it’s gonna help, but it’s a start I reckon. Just go ahead and buy the defender case. It actually comes with the screen protection, so if it does crack again. They will pay for it. Who ever designed this case, needs to be fired. OR the knob needs to be able to be removed!!!!

I rarely use my iPad, but knew I'd like to feel as protected as possible as well as having the multi function kickstand features that this product offered. I planned on having this iPad for as long as Apple supported it as my needs are mostly browsing the web, Kindle books for baking and occasional Netflix. I was ok with spending more for what I thought would be a case that matched my needs. They even go as far as telling you that this is meant for kids and should feel extra safe. Seems like they are implying that it offers more protection than the other cases they offer. Clever marketing. It fell off our bed, which is only 27" off the floor, not a bed that requires a ladder to get into. It shattered the screen. My son has used a $5 amazon case and its survived years of abuse. For $51 I've received none of the protection for 10X the cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great idea but a fail It is a great idea but either the backing on the case or the stand piece itself wears out fairly quickly. We are 2 months into the new one and the stand is yet again worn and doesn't stay on and falls off the second you put it on. Would be great if you came out with something where the stand doesn't fall off.
