So I’ve been an iPhone user since 2008 and an otter box user since 2010 or so. Every few years I upgrade to a new model and along with purchase a new otter box case. I’ve always been very satisfied with their products. However, I’ve had the 14 Pro with this case for less than two full months and my back glass is shattered. I’m extremely disappointed.

Shattered Back Screen
Dropped my phone in my living room maybe 3 feet high from the waist and it shattered my back screen. Never really had problems at all before hand but extremely disappointed in the case.

great and sturdy case! I do miss the built-in screen protector the older defenders come with and the installation was a pain (as most others have said by now) but overall the case feels very strong.

The OtterBox is too tight that I cannot use a screen protector with it. It pops off at the sides and bubbles. Frustrating. The OtterBox is nice otherwise. Hopefully I don’t need a screen protector.

Shattered the back glass on first drop
This case did not fulfill its promise. I bought this product expecting it be to be like my other otterbox cases. It was not at all. I dropped my phone on the front side and the back shattered. I am very upset as I have never had this happen before.

It was a little tricky to get the case on. Definitely had to pull up a reference on YouTube and watch it several times to understand. Then it still didn’t feel like it was gonna get on properly. Other than that it’s perfect! I got the pink & purple color way and I’m obsessed. It’s so easy to spot and feels cartoonish & sassy. Easy to grip and cradle when using. Had tried the symmetry series case first and felt like it was too slippery and didn’t provide enough protection. That’s just my two sense.

Wrong Product sent, case doesn't fit,slow shipping
I ordered this case on February 2. My first delivery I received was on February 10 and they sent me the wrong product, a Google Pixel 7 Pro. I submitted a ticket and they resent the correct product, which I just received today, Feb 19. The correct case came this time, but it arrived opened, clearly used, with no directions. I cannot physically get the phone in the case, there is plastic trim around the edge and I don't know how to get the phone on without popping it out. I would avoid and search for an alternative due to issues noted above.

I have been using the Defender series on multiple devices for at least a decade. When I saw this new slimmer design with better drop protection and mag compatibility I was on it. My last phone (iphone XR purchased around the time they came out ?6 years ago?) was in an Otterbox Defender case and dropped and fumbled on tile floor countless times with no problem.
Note I did attach camera lense glass protector that works with case. I chose one with three individual glass protectors vs. one large glass to make sure it fits.
Disappointed with...
1. how microscopic the lip edge above the screen is. Maybe 2mm vs. about 5 mm on a traditional defender.
Stupid me, should have figured this was necessarily to make it "slimmer" argh.
2. seeing the case I was definitely concerned that the back does not appear to have the same impact absorption built in. Then read review about a 3' drop and the back of iphone shattering while the case was intact.
3. The second case piece that locks your phone in is disconcertingly super flimsy. And sure enough with the stupid hard installation, I heard a pop noise that indicates the frame may now be compromised even though my eyes were unable to see where the plastic may have been damaged.
4. Stupid Hard and painful installation. It took two people and some thumb skin. Really Otterbox, you should have included an install tool to grab the edge and get over and into the plastic groove.
5) shipping sucked. Got free shipping with order. Didn't realize it would take over a week and then on top of that was delayed by two days. Waited for the case to fire up my new phone.
6. now reading reviews that the mag feature doesn't work as expected.
Lesson learned, even with Otterbox, READ THE REVIEWS FIRST!
I will likely be contacting otterbox to exchange for the traditional bulky and ugly Defender or refund and get the case elsewhere with faster shipping and potential better discount.

Strong and Easy to Install
Super easy to accurately install. This is a replacement for another brand that didn’t work out so well. This installation was a pleasurable experience and easy install without being overly bulky but just as strong. And it works well will my recharging station.

Protective and works with other lens protectors
This case fits perfect and is nice and tight fit. I can easily turn on and off the silence button even though it looks like there isn’t a ton of room (it’s plenty) I have medium sized hands as well. I’ve already dropped my phone and no damage. I also use a one piece lens protector from Amazon and it fits the case (tight) but it fits and holds.

Dont buy the one with the clear back
The case is really cute but is not very protective the whole back part of my iphone cracked and the camera area as well and i only had this new phone for a couple of weeks if you are looking for protection try something else

Not worth the price
Definitely doesn’t feel as sturdy as what I used to get. Plus it was so difficult to install, I almost gave up. And the clear back shows any specs of dirt/dust/fur that’s stuck there.

This case looks nice but did not withstand a drop from the kitchen counter! My new iphone 14 pro now has a shattered back! Very Disappointing for the price I paid and because the Otter Boxes I had previously were really tough!

Did Not Protect Phone
I’ve had my case since September. I dropped my phone off my lap (not high!) and the entire back has splintered. Parts are chipping off. Apple said the repair it would need is the most expensive repair they offer. I had high hopes for this case, but it’s not any more protective than a regular case. Extremely disappointed.

I’ve used OtterBox in the past and was always happy with the cases I purchased…until this one. Even with the case correctly on my phone, the back glass of my phone shattered when dropping my phone less than 3 feet. Now I have to spend over $100 to get it repaired. Disappointed with this purchase. Performance does not match price.

Challenging assembly
I love Otterbox products for the high level of protection, however with only four images to serve as instructions, I have been unable to get this on my new iPhone 14 Pro. I simply cannot get the silicon over the plastic edge. I will have to return the product if I cannot get it on the phone.

This really is a nice and solid case but it is so difficult to put on. It made me regret not getting one of the older basic ones. The instructions weren’t really helpful because I did what it showed and it still wouldn’t work. I finally got it on after having my boyfriend help me. It really shouldn’t take 2 people to put on a phone case. I’m honestly kind of scared to take it off for any reason like trying a different case because I do not look forward to trying to get it back on. Other than that it really is a nice case. I like the way it feels on my hand and it has a good level of thickness to it so my phone feels protected.

The case I ordered looking like it has been used. It arrived dirty and with scratches on it. It was also very difficult to install but my main issue is the fact that the case looks used before I even put it on my phone. Not impressed considering they aren’t cheap.

I would say out of all of my years using apple products,and several otter box cases,this one was extremely difficult to install. I actually had to stretch the rubber to get it to fit around the edges of the case,then use my fingernail to slide it into the edge. If I had known how difficult and stressful installation was I would not have purchased.

Great protection, challenging install.
This case is great for protection. An immense struggle to put on the phone and I dread the day I need to take it off and put it back on again but very happy with the protection it offers. I would be interested to see how the symmetry series + stacks up against in protection as that case would be much easier to install.

Is not my first time with Otter cases, is a good deal for customer but a bad one for the company, there cases are so good that you only need one for the life of the phone, because they last that long, they been my favorite since I heard of them, and is being a while now.

The first tip for writing a great review is to use the product first. Well if you can actually get the case on your phone then maybe I would. I have spent 2 hours trying to get the case on my phone and all I have are 2 sore thumbs. Beyond frustrated that I spent $70 on a case that cannot even be used.

Yeah it's a pain to get on, but it's sturdy and tight. I feel like my phone is protected. I bought the clear back in lavender, which beautifully displays my new purple phone. The sides are easy to grip, and I just love this case.

The Lavender colour case really makes the purple of the iPhone stand out.
Not sure why there are people complaining about having difficulties installing the case.
Once the two pieces are separated it takes a matter of seconds to complete the install process and you have a case that feels and looks fantastic. Love it.

Not the easiest installation. I would recommend a youtube video. That stated, the plastic inner frame was removed before I attempted to put it together. I used a golf divot tool to stretch the rubber case around, up, and over the plastic frame.

I purchased this case and give it 10 stars it’s does what needs to be done. My phone feels secure in this case. This case looks great on my purple iPhone 14 pro! I watched a YouTube video to see how to put the case on and it was a breeze. My only complaint is that the case is too expensive for what it is. I would buy again though because it does look and feel great!!

Good protection, some design flaws
I got this case based on Otterbox protection quality and I am sure I will not regret this purchase. The case feels solid and it offers a good grip. The MagSafe charging works with no issues and the color of the case actually matches the one presented in the website. I also tried attaching the case to a Magsafe stand without problems. I have two complaints about this product:
1. Installation is not super easy. I did not find very hard removing the soft case from the hard plastic, but adding it back when the phone is in the outer layer required some skill and I can see why other reviewers feel frustrated about that part. If you plan to use only this case, that should not be an issue at all, but if someone is constantly switching cases for different activities it could be really annoying.
2. The access to the Silent Toggle in the left side is not properly centered. The upper side of it is to close to it. This makes it very hard to switch the toggle on and off, specially if you have thick fingers and/or short nails.
My feedback to Otterbox:
1. Is the toggle off centered position a design flaw or was my case defective? If this is a design flaw, do you plan to fix it, and, if so, could I exchange this case when this issue is resolved?
2. Do you have any plans to launch a Commuter XT case (Magsafe) compatible for the iPhone 14 pro? I feel that option will reduce the extra bulk of the XT and would be ideal for everyday use.

I bought this case for my new iPhone 14 pro. I had the phone/case for a total of 2 weeks before I dropped my phone (in this case) from about 3 feet from the ground. I didn’t look at my phone until I got back inside my house because I was sure that my $70 case protected it. Well the entire back of my phone was shattered not one part of the back that did not have a crack in it. The case was not damaged at all, it just did not protect the phone whatsoever. Very disappointed.

Won’t Charge Wirelessly
I bought this case at Best Buy as well as the new Apple MagSafe charger and my new iPhone 14 Pro won’t charge wirelessly with the case on… it specifically says on the box that it will charge wirelessly… any reason why it won’t? And extremely hard to put case on…

I have used LifeProof Cases as long as I have had an iPhone and have never had a cracked screen. Two weeks after switching to an Otterbox case and screen protector I dropped my phone from waist height onto a sidewalk and both my screen protector and my phone's screen cracked. I am very frustrated.

Overall decent. Dropped a number of times on tile with no issue until this last time. The clear plastic in the corner cracked but phone is fine, so it did its job.
Things I like:
-slim & lightweight
-clear backing
-seems to have protected my phone from several drops
Things I’m not crazy about
-the front rim protecting the screen is practically non-existent. I’m used to the Defender case.
-the clear plastic backing gets scratched up
-the case gets dirty and stained. The pretty purple quickly becomes an unsightly brownish grungy puke color
-hair somehow manages to get behind the clear plastic backing
-how crazy hard it is to get the clear rim in the silicone case. First time was the worst. It was somewhat easier putting the replacement on and didn’t hurt the skin of my thumbs as bad.
