Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't turn phone on when using the case. This is the 4th Otterbox case I've owned. Otterbox cases are necessary for this very clutzy smart phone owner as numerous times phones have survived falls from great and not so great heights as well as other indignanties that would have meant doom if encased in a lesser phone case. My only complaint is that in order for me to turn the phone on I need to remove it from the case. (I can turn off by tapping an icon but of course that doesn't work to turn it back on. So, in the 2 weeks I have owned the phone and case, the phone has been out Its case 2 or 3 times when I turned it off. So far, knock on wood, my clutzyness has not resulted in any disasters in this situation. So I can't give a 5 star rating. I'll be a repeat customer in any case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best cellphone case around! This is my 2nd Otterbox cellphone case and there are very durable. My first cellphone I dropped several times and it never cracked my phone screen or create any other damage. For the phone I have now, I brought another Otterbox cellphone case and it fits my phone perfectly. I've already dropped my new phone twice my no incidents. The only thing I wish it had was a screen protector. However, I understand why they did not add for the Samsung s20 as I can see how it would affect how it hinder working with the phone since the finger print security is actually located on the screen. Even without this feature would give this case a rating of a 5!

They all managed to protect the Phone, and keep them in pristine condition ! I don't think the same will be said about the one We just purchased for the Samsung S20 5G . For one, it doesn't come with a Screen Protector . Probably the most susceptible part of the Phone to damage . Only Time will tell, if this new Defender even comes close to the Defenders of old ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review (last case was for the S7 After a week or so, I like the case. It is actually thinner in total width than my former S7 phone. The back has a perimeter ridge with the center fine texture (prior case had ribs which held dust etc and harder to clean. Due to the phone design, there is lesser screen protection and, same for the camera; however, I think that it protects as much as it can in this compact package. Time will tell - the prior, more bulky case saved my phone from a serious drop which broke the inner plastic housing of the case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good protective case Great protection as always from Otter Box quality. This year they also made it surprisingly stream-lined for one of their most heavy duty cases. It does not feel bulky, yet offers excellent protection. The only complaint is that the top face rim feels somewhat "flat" so I feel as if my phone were dropped on the face it might break the glass as the rim might not be thick enough to cushion it. Overall though, very happy with the purchase and glad they give some color options.

But this cade blew me away. Color, feel, and fit are all perfect 10s. OtterBox never disappoints. The only case I will ever use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more screen protector It seems that they stopped making the Defender series with a built- in clear plastic screen protector, forcing you to spend extra money on a tempered glass screen protector on top of the money you paid for the otterbox. Every case I could see was entitled "screenless edition." You gotta buy the screen protector separate now. Otherwise I would've given five stars. Nothing ever happens to your phone in an otterbox. True story.

Since my husband works in the restaurant business I am always afraid of the wear and tear on his phone or the possibility of him dropping it and it breaking. The new phones are so expensive to replace so we always have a Otter Box for our phones. NO ISSUES for years! We are Otter Box customers for life! THANK YOU!

The Defender case also has enough of a raised edge on the top and bottom to help protect the glass screen. Would like to see this case in a brighter color for use outdoors. An orange color would be great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power button issues Been a fan and user of Otterbox defenders since my iPhone 4. I like the cases and can attest to their durability. I think thats the case with s20 case, I've dropped the phone a few times and have had no issues. My one major complaint is that the power button on the right side under the volume buttons can become unseated making it impossible to press the button without adjusting the rubberized outer skin of the Otterbox. I've had to do this several times and I expect to throughout my use of the case. Still, I'm a creature of habit and I'll likely just keep this case until it breaks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't work with pop socket I went back and forth between the commuter and defender. I had a commuter on my previous phone and used a pop socket just fine. You can't get a pop socket to stick to the defender case. Not a huge deal breaker as my phone protection is more important but phone now a days have gotten so big they are easier to hold if I have a pop socket.

May need to switch to another brand since I want a different color. Should be an easy fix to come up with a variety of colors.

However, this time the rubber material started peeling and dry rotting after a year. The plastic case around the phone also started to crack in several spots and now the case doesn't stay on. The quality is not the same as it used to be. I'm really disappointed because the case does the job protecting the phone but at $45 a case it should last longer than a year.

It is S20 FE 5G, I asked if the case I ordered would fit and was told it would but the case I received was for S20 and would not fit my phone, I would very much like a defender case with belt clip that will fit my phone. I have ordered 2 cases and both were for S20 and not my phone, that is over a $100.00 spent and still don't have a case.

The one thing that made the defender case always stand out over and above was screen protection. These cases are probably the most expensive on the market so for the money you'd think you'd keep to the three layers or protection even if it was just one of the plastic film sheets. Over all I like it but it is really expensive now especially if you have to buy screen protection afterwards. This is the first time I wouldn't fully recommend this product

I'm a very rough user, dropping phones at least a couple of times per week. NEVER have had anything break in all that time. Customer service on the other hand is not good. Can't answer basic questions as to the differences in their products, their web is woefully weak in helping a buyer (just bought a new Samsung understand product availability. And their color selection is really poor. Why buy? Phones don't break. Seems that senior staff at Otter Box should get beyond the products success and add color to products, as well as update their web to make shopping more simple.

I looked in shock! The other cars stopped and allowed me to get it. Tell me why did that phone survive, it rebooted and was working! No cracked screen, nothing broken...just some dust. This Otterbox case/clip is not cute at all.... but it made a beliver out of me! So if your prone (like me to dropping phones...get this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from does not fit Samsung S20 FE 5G Advertised as fitting S20 and S20 5G. I ordered it and it was too small for my S20 FE 5G. I think the FE is larger than the standard S20. Otterbox took it back, which is good, but now I have no way to buy an Otterbox that fits my S20.

I returned one and had to pay the shipping of $20, and now I sit with another two brand new ones that I don’t know what to do with. We love OtterBox, so the product’s fine. I just needed some extra help to find one that fits my phone.

A bonus is not having to add a screen protector. In the past I have purchased screen protectors that muffled my voice. Additionally, the case appears to be able to stand up to falls. Most of the cases I've owned always chip on the edges from falls.
