My phone was in perfect condition because the Screen was always protected. The new case for my S20 Plus does not have a screen protection piece. Completely not acceptable.

Of course I love the design of my smartphone but my job requires lots of movement and risks of falling to the ground. So when I purchase a new case for handling my smartphone I chose the most protective cases. It's the first time I purchase Otterbox. I very, very satisfied by this product. Great protection, looks and feels rough, it has a slope to keep the screen and camera lens from scratches and the power port plug is very strong to wear (that was the only doubt I'd when I made my order. The only issue (that it is not a really issue because of the function of these kind of cases) is the size or bulky aspect. Also it has a good feel and grip on the hand.

In my business my phone is subject to abuse on a daily basis and with the price of phones today I can't afford to use a case that won't protect my investment. After many bumps, brushes and drops all my phones have avoided damage due to the quality of the Defender case. As long as you continue making these cases, I will continue you using them!

Never been disappointed...saved my phones several times from drops and water. I'm a Otterbox fan; I like the look, the protection and the feel of the phone in my hand. People often say you get what you pay for...absolutely true with the Defender Case. Thanks guys.

The Outterbox Defender series is the best protection you can find on the market, however I have had problems with the tabs inside the case itself breaking out leaving my phones less secure. Other than this, the Defender version of the Outterbox cases is the best of the best. Hopefully with the Galaxy S20 Plus 5G models tabs not having a strong force when putting my phone back into the hoster, it's a sign that Outterbox fixed this issue that has caused me to buy at least 3 or more new cases in the past with my Galaxy S7 Edge. The tabs on each side of the case should be just as strong as the case and hopefully with what I'm feeling with my Galaxy S20 Plus, it is.

The double layer of protection really helps protect my phone. I would definitely recommend this case. Honestly for a one time purchase you'll save yourself a few hard scratches and a cracked screen.

It's already a big phone, but this case adds minimal bulk. Its not super grippy but it won't fall out of your hand. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Listen up This case has it all!! Great grip, durability and a WOW factor. It stayed on the roof of my car for nearly a mile. I witnessed this case hit the ground at 70mph. It survived the first impact(the Bluetooth was still connected and playing. It then bounced 10' into the air doing its best to keep my phone intact. But in the blink of an eye it exploded. I went back to find my phone on the side of the highway disintegrated and lying next to it was the rubber cover to the defender series case. Very pleased with the product. Will buy another when my new phone comes in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't Allow Charging I literally asked for this case to replace a different one that caused my screen to break. So I get this and it's definetely protected my phone a bit more due to a slightly higher bumper around my screen. Thing is, my phone isn't even wanting to charge with this case. I've tried different cords and it only charges so far before it stops. On top of that the cover for the charging port is so hard to move and that could be ruining my chargers where it's not charging. This would be due to it flipping toward the user and not away.

For the amount paid for these covers, they should protect the phone from the back getting crackied when dropped and landing on its back fron waist high. As a result, I was unable to take advantage of a $600 trade in....THANKS OTTERBOX!

This case does not have a creen protector and did not protect my phone from even the slightest fall. Super disappointed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cracked back I had this for less than 1 year and the tab ob the side of the case, that clips into the belt holder, broke causing the phone to fall on its back. As a result my phone ended up with a cracked back. I checked on getting a warranty for the case on the website and would be charged $10 for shipping and handling, which I wouldn't mind paying if I thought the case would protect my phone. I had otterboxes on other phones and was happy with them. I wish I had bought the otterbox defender pro instead.

I've usually bought other competitive brands that maybe wasn't as costly but when I got my S20+ 5G, I experimented with two others before my Otterbox, including an actual Samsung brand. After dropping my phone several times and luckily just breaking the mfgr screen protector and a small scratch on corner that should've been protected, I had to something quick before I had a paperweight in my hands. I am a lead industrial maintenance technician by trade and was constantly worrying about even carrying my phone anywhere while working on equipment. The missus has always had Otterboxes so she convinced me. Best decision I ever made! Its rugged, its got a super sturdy belt clip that I cannot see breaking anytime soon. No, it does not have a built in screen protector but it says that if you take the time to read. No case at this time will have anything that won't mess with the S20 series ultrasonic fingerprint reader. Long story short, if you want true protection for your expensive phone, don't bother with anything else but Otterbox.

The back of my phone shattered. was disappointed to find out that I have to pay for a new phone because the case didn't totally protect it. But will be getting another case when I get my new phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but not great! I have used otterbox defender series cases on all of my smartphones. When I got this one I was shocked that it didn't have a screen protector built in. They always seemed to last forever and kept my phone looking like new. I purchased a screen protector and had it installed and I was on my way. About 3 weeks later I went to snap my phone back into the holster and one of the corners snapped off. It seemed to still hold the phone however it was a little loose. I contacted otterbox and I think I had to pay shipping for the replacement. I have not had any issues with at this point it snaps in solid. It's been about 6 months and like several of my past otterbox defenders the rubber that goes over the hard plastic inner case is starting to get saggy and It no longer fits snug. I had hoped that they would have found a fix for this. In the past depending on how old it was otterbox covered it and sent a new one out. But this allows dirt to get in and then you need to remove it and clean it out, worse is it can interfere with it going back in the holster and snapping in securely. I had read up on it when my first one started to do this and I wasn't alone. One hack was to put it into a pot of boiling water and it shrinks back. Once it was past warranty I tried the boiling water thing and it worked as long as you didn't wait untill it was very loose. All that considered I think otterbox still makes one of the best protective cases that I have found over the years. I guess I can understand the screen protector part since I paid $50 for one and I can't unlock my phone with my finger print. The good thing is the wife has a different case but the same screen protector and has broken her screen protector several times already. Again I think otterbox makes one of the best protective cases available or that I have found.

I can get an off brand version way cheaper in a multiude of colors.... Light or dark blue, violet, green, Red, White, Hot pink, Auqua, etc. Product I really like the defenders series just some more color options would be nice.
