With how easily phone screen crack, it's not a good decision. I returned the case and purchased a different one from another vendor, WITH the protective clear plastic over the screen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A little disappointed I have purchased the defender case for several different phones over the past few years.I don't like the latch on the holster, it is not very secure, it allows the phone to pop out.It has dropped my phone 3 times already. The latch does'nt hold the phone in the holster very tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My second one and I love it! This case has daved my phone and screen I don't know HOW MANY times after dropping it every which way. I've had multiple hand SURGERIES with plates and screws in them and they are both pretty weak so I've tested this case out more times than I can begin to count. Absolutely NO damage ever to my previous phone in over 3+ years of dropping it on every corner, face and side. We just both updated and and got new phones with more memory and would only buy the same Otterbox case for each of them also. Love our new phones and cases and yes, (Thank you Otterbox, these are also being drop tested already and holding up perfectly as I knew they would :-). Bless you for making such an amazing product that is even better than advertised!

I have had one shut into a hatchback, one into a car door and lost one on the Continental Divide Trail. I went back to the Trail the next day after a hailstorm, found it and it worked great.

The case protects the phone very well, no problems with touchscreen sensitivity or hearing as with some other brands,and the belt clip carrier is deigned to also work as a stand. Very nice, rugged case. Otterbox is simply the best!

So not sure if it is the case indentation or the clip / holster but believe it is the clip. Not as secure as my previous otter boxes were.
