Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Purchase I'm a looooong user of the otterbox products and lo and behold I buy a an iPhone 12! (WAAAAAY too much money for a phone but I took the plunge. I protected it with this amazing screen protector and two weeks into my ownership my phone dropped !!! And the screen Cracked in two in a V shape from the front camera (or so I thought) I took it to iPhone repair and the technition asked can he remove the protector to inspect the damage. And there was NONE!!!! FANTASTIC. It was the protector that cracked!!!! It did exactly what it was designed to do. I was soooo relieved and thrilled. OTTERBOX you have a customer for as long as your company exists. Side note all my pervious iPhones have been otterbox protected and they're all mint. The 5s the 6plus and 7 plus. BRAVO OTTERBOX!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Alpha Glass I've used this for a month now, installing is a challenge in trying to get the glass to lay flat without an air pocket. Mine still has an upper and lower air pocket but it doesn't seem to impede the phone operation (hence the 4 rating. I've always been really happy with Otterbox products and have used them for many years.

The original iPhone and Otterbox case are still is in great shape, even though it has been dropped many times. Reason for Otterbox? Rugged, Rugged, Rugged!

Terrible customer service. Called, only communicating from emails. Never received a reply. I would like a refund so I can buy an Outterbox, which I have always used. Thought I would try Lifeproof, mistake.

I had a previous screen protector from Otter Box that lasted years but this one did not. Contacted customer support immediately and was given the run around. The suggested one that they sell and it fits weird so the are air bubbles. I had to pull it off and buy a different screen protector from Amazon. Not worth the 80 bucks I spent.

It’s sitting on the screen perfectly and seems like it’s strong and protective. I would definitely recommend this product.

So I took it off to get the dirt off and the follow was in the glass. The new one I get as follows other places in the glass so it is not dirt it is a follow in the glass and when you pay so much for the glass that is not a thing you should not have to put up with. Everything is make so fast today to day that they. Cannot get it right the money for the CEO is more important an the products they sell. It is all about CEO MONEY and not the products they sell. If they made it in a dust pro room not dust in the glass either.

That said, makes the phone difficult to put in your pocket and even worse almost impossible to charge Meg safe or contact charger. If you want to use the charging port with the cable fine but very difficult to make work on a contact charging device.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Could be better I bought a screen protector from Otterbox because the other brand I had wanted didn't work inside the Otterbox Defender case and I definitely wanted to use it with my new Iphone pro 12 Max. But when I took the screen protector to a phone place to pay them to put it on my phone (because I'm a perfectionist) we realized there wasn't a film on both sides of the screen protector which caused a few slight somewhat scratches underneath it where you can't feel but you can see it on the screen of my phone. I'm a bit bummed because I spent so much for it and I would have assumed it would have come in perfect condition. I think Otterbox should have put a film on both sides of it though not just the bottom of the sticky side and that wouldn't have happened.

When I put the otterbox case on the phone, it causes it to bubble and it is very distracting. I am going to have to remove it. The case lifted up the edge of the screen protector. Had to manually adjust it with the case on for it to fit since the guide was a one time use. Warranty claim is helpful, though that costs another $7.

This is why I stick with Otterbox, they really stand behind their products. I have had all my iPhones and iPads in Otterbox cases for years, and have loved them all.

I usually by screen protectors from Zagg, and they have a much better applicator that aligns the glass perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Out of the box, ready for Service I had been checking Otterbox for iPhone12ProMax Defender cases and glass protector, and I could not find one, but the day that Apple had their iPhone 12 show, I promptly went to the Otterbox website and ordered it, which was very easy. It was shipped very promptly despite wading through verbiage about COVID-19 staff shortages, and I received it about three days later. Now, I only have to wait until day after tomorrow for the phone my Otterbox Defender will protect.

Otter box used to be above any other cases but now they are pretty much exactly the same as cases that cost significantly less. I bought this online to replace a cheaper one, not realizing that it was basically the same thing. Seriously, hold otter box accountable. Don’t buy their cases until they upgrade the quality or significantly drop the prices.

Less chance of dirt or dust, they do send a alcohol wipe and a dust cloth to clean your screen. I have used defender cases for at least ten years and the alpha glass looks more sturdy. We will see if it holds up over this next year.

So I paid 7 dollars more and got a replacement and after a few weeks of use the sides keep coming back up and getting dust under it. I never had any problems out of my iPhone XS Max alpha glass. So I don’t know what is wrong with this one.. not happy at all!!

Since they deleted the plastic cover for the face, I also purchased the Alpha Glass. I have found it to be very responsive and does not inhibit use of the touch screen. Dale H

I bought this for my 12pro max, I have had issues in the past piloting the protectors on Otter box made it super easy with its plastic guide that you set the phone it, peel the cover backing and flip it over the phone and smooth it down.

So when I upgraded my phone, you bet I was getting the alpha glass! And I’m so glad I did. My 2 toddlers have thrown it onto concrete, used it as a trampoline, and drop kicked it down a flight of stairs and it’s still going strong. Best glass screen on the market! Even Zagg would have broken by now. My only complaint isn’t about the screen, but rather the new application case it comes with. The holding case is really flimsy and my phone kept falling out, causing the screen to collect a couple dust particles before everything was sealed in place. The little bubbles drive me crazy, but the protector is still great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Money making over functionality? The Otterbox Defender no longer includes a snap-on screen cover, forcing you to buy a separate cover for a ridiculous price. The reason Otterbox states? Better screen sensitivity. Bunk! It’s a way to make money. I had 3 or 4 Defender cases and never had an issue with touch sensitivity. I am disgusted. The new screens aren’t easy to affix and cost way too much. Otterbox gets an F for this decision.

If I bought a defender series in the past it came with full screen and housing unit for around $65 depending on where you shopped. Now I paid 56 for a non screen series no clip which I later had to pay $14 for and one, overpriced $35 screen that if you live in a city will absolutely get a dust bubble and annoy you until you get so fed up you purchase another. Lastly the iPhone series 8 housing unit I had (before this new phone) I purchase 5 of because you cheapens the thickness of plastic used on the unit and quality. I am finding it difficult to stick with otter box in the future

My husband purchased a cheaper one and his looks brand new. Customer service is also horrible. I had problems with shipping and I can’t email or call customer service. I was disappointed that I was unable to find the same case for my new iPhone 12 Pro Max. I had to get the defender pro with the extra glass shield. Unsure of how this will hold up. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not too strong adhesive on the edges I bought the screen protector a month ago and so far have been happy with the clarity of the product and rigidity of the edges as it does not get chewed up so easily like the other ones. However my biggest problem with this protective glass is the top left corner of my screen now has this bubble which is growing bit by bit every few days. That being the case and my personal experience paying a more premium price I’m overall not happy with the quality of the product and will look for an alternative when the bubble on the screen makes me remove it completely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Could not get bubbles out I’ve used alpha glass on all my phones and never had a problem with it. This time I could NOT get the air bubbles out. I eventually gave up trying to push them to the side and attempted to start from the beginning. Pulling the alpha glass off of the phone bent the edge of the alpha glass slightly and the screen now looks awful. It’s a 12 pro so I maybe do t need the screen protector anyway. I know Otterbox will replace it but it’s not worth my time or the shipping cost. So no more Otters for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not the best I’ve had I purchased the Alpha glass with my commuter case the edges of the glass don’t seem to stay adhered. With a quick push and swipe it goes back lower I’m afraid I’m gonna need to replace this because dirt and other foreign particles have gotten stuck there. I’d take a picture of my screen but it’s hard to do with my phone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like it but don’t I love how it looks and it feels but the application process isn’t as easy as it looks. I had zero bubbles when I applied my old one free hand but with this new contraption I wound up with 3 small permanent bubbles that will NOT come out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never 100% adhesion with best effort After following directions as provided I was unable to get 100 % adhesion. The lower left corner will not stay stuck down. Very annoying . The kit provided excellent instructions on how to install film but results disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good protector but not worth the price I bought this without seeing one because the Otterbox product line reputation and my long experience with the products. The protector itself is great it does the job very well. The issue I have with the product is that there are similar items on the market for much less money. I was convinced that the install frame would make the difference and justify the price. Wrong, the frame is a good idea but the protector was stuck to the frame incorrectly so that when the instruction were followed the protector stuck to the phone but offset to one side. Then when the Otterbox case was installed it lifted the edge of the screen protector. That allowed dirt to get under the protector. Maybe I could have done a better job without using the frame, I don't know. The clearances of the case and the protector are close and that makes alignment critical. I had to pull the protector up and reposition it a couple times to get it centered enough that the case didn't push against/lift it.

There should be a giant WARNING printed on the box telling you not to peel off the plastic Once you peel off the plastic it is absolutely impossible to put the protector on the phone without giant air bubbles under the plastic. The instructions that come with it are useless because they lack details. I will suffer forever because of it and I wasn't willing to buy a second one to get rid of the bubbles.

I bought two screen protectors to the first one was delivered broken and the sconce on that is on my phone now has cracks is so many place lost track. The reality is this product is subpar and I wish I neve purchased it. Such a hassle and issue

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stands up to my Swiss army knife I like the glass screen protector lot. My only "small" gripe is when I installed it, I got 1 small air pocket. No matter how many times I went over the spot. It just would not smooth out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great purchase I’ve been a longtime customer of otterbox, I’ve found that the durability of the case protects the phone more than any others. I’ve always gotten the defender series, and i just upgraded to the newest iPhone that is shatter resistant, and reviews said they scratch easy, so I immediately began looking for a glass screen protector and found this one. I’ve read some reviews left, and I do not understand how there is confusion. They make the application fool proof and have paper instructions along with a link on how to apply. I was nervous about air bubbles but didn’t get a singe one on my screen. My advice to people is to make sure your screen is spotless before application! Hopefully this protector lasts!

But I did manage to drop my phone (with an otter box protective case on the phone as well and the screen protector cracked straight through the screen. For the price, this should not happen! Extremely disappointed.
