False Managed Switch
It is not a managed switch. I could not access the switch at all, not even using their discovery application. I even set up subnets on my router, but their default IP address is unreachable. Do not purchase.
Excellent
Excellent product and delivered on-time. Quality products
No instructions for installation
Works but there are NO instructions for installation
Great Switch
Runs cool and quiet. Each port adjusts to the optimal speed
Great 2.5G PoE Switch
Great and affordable 2.5GB PoE switch. Only wish is that they make a 16-port unmanaged PoE someday soon so I don’t have to daisy chain.
Great unit but 3-prong power plug is overkill
Great compact unit. Everything worked right out of the box. HOWEVER, for such a low powered device, I'm surprised of the use of a 3-prong grounded plug that doesn't fit into my APC network UPS. I did not want to use a adapter just for the power plug. I do a lot of international traveling and we appear to be
Competitive pricing improves cost management while dual firmware needs addressing
What is our primary use case? We use NETGEAR for IT-related tasks such as connecting printers and access points. It's primarily utilized as a layer-two solution. Additionally, one of the NETGEAR switches is deployed at a retail outlet. How has it helped my organization? It is difficult to quantify the return
Efficient routing and access control with an easy setup
What is our primary use case? We use NETGEAR Switches for networking, particularly for switch-to-switch connectivity. We connect them with core switches, especially for camera installation. How has it helped my organization? NETGEAR Switches have increased the throughput and speed of internal communication,
Netgear 8-port Ultra60 PoE++ Multi-Gigabit (2.5G) Ethernet Plus Switch is rated 3.30 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good 2.5Gb work group switch with room for improvement Great PoE for 2.5 Gb NICS. Easy to setup, new firmware comes with new web based administration. All very up to date and well made. Switch has most all latest features with a layer 2 switch. VLAN, LAG, Port Mirroring, etc. One thing I noticed when using PoE++ or the 60w ports, if you are connecting a Rasberry Pi over PoE with the PoE+ hat for the Pi, it's unusually loud. Screetching loud. I think it has something to do with the PoE power adapter and fan bearings. Better to connect that device over one of the 30W ports. Another problem is the price. For the amount it costs, there needs to be at least one 10Gb port for a trunk. All in all a good switch. Will be useful as more 2.5Gbps NICs come out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great 2.5 Gb Upgrade Switch I bought this switch for use in a residence rather than a business. It provides 2.5 Gbps backhaul for a Netgear router and satellite system and also to provide POE power for future camera installations. I like several features; automatic speed sensing, two different POE power levels, and an easy-to-understand interface. I have only been using it for a month, but so far it is solid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful switch but may not be fit for this ultra small form factor Great switch with powerful features but may not be fit for this form factor. External power supply is as large as the switch removing any advantage from the very small switch form factor.
