I've kept one and gifted three to family (my child's grandparents on both sides of the family, as well as my sister). These displays are great as a seamless photo frame via Google Photos (allows grandparents to see pictures of grandchild in near real-time). We take photos of my child, and it shows up on grandparents' Lenovo displays thanks to Google Photos!

While we have not yet delivered it to the final recipient, initial tests have been very promising.

Had to deal with customer support which was fine, but paying to ship back for a display that was broken was not great. I just received it too and now I have to send it back and wait another 1-2weeks. I'm disappointed.

I like this one more than the Google hub max because of the camera slider, my girlfriend is big on privacy, but I wanted the feature. The speaker is great, you can hear it throughout the house, but I have a small house. I keep it in the kitchen, use it mostly for music, YouTube videos and realy like the photo album, great conversation starter.

I do have a Google hub - the 8" version. And I have wanted to invest in the 10" - but the price that Google wanted was far too expensive for what it offered. This device is fast, easy to set up, has great sound, color, and clarity. And the camera works exceptionally well.

I can get a full local weather report, as well as hear my favorite songs and albums from many years ago. I also get national updates with the President's Coronavirus report daily. We have one for each of us in this house and given two away to family already. Who has time to play all the games included!

The first one is in the kitchen. Works very well and is integrated into our Google Home system. We also love the ability to display our photos as a slide show.

BUT I think that auto history delete should have a more narrow time frame than three months.Users should get to select. I didn’t get this device for real assistant work.... I just wanted to share photos with family. It’s upsetting to learn how much work it takes for me to manually delete my browsing data. And there should be a delete ALL browsing history rather than make users go to every category individually. Geesh. Wish I’d known. I’d have gone with a less invasive device.

I have bought the unit in June and it has been plagued by the same error the whole time... ~75% of the time when I say Ok Google I am met with "There was a glitch, try again in a few seconds" or "Something went wrong, try again in a few seconds". This has apparently been being worked by Lenovo support since May but in what world does it take this long to fix a software glitch. None of my other Google devices like the Mini or Google Assistant on my phone have this issue. It is very frustrating and I end up having to use one of those to complete the actions I am trying to do. I have to cast from my Android phone to the Lenovo smart display half the time because I can't get it to work. The intermittent and unaddressed nature of this issue makes me want to get rid of this device which is sad because at the price point it is otherwise built really well, has a beautiful screen, great sound, and great features... it just doesn't do what it is supposed to when you need it to. Also, I can't use Netflix on it which seems really weird to me. Hulu does work though.

I've tried out a couple recipes and I for one enjoy being able to have the video of the recipe and the spoken instructions. I like the ablility to walk out in the morning and check out my day and keep track of the calendar too. It's really one of my favourite items I own. Thanks Lenovo and Google assistant too!

I'd like to catch up on the news and listen to music while I'm cooking. The sound quality on the unit is pretty good, a little better then my Google home speaker that I had before but not as good is my Harman Kardon Bluetooth speaker. The display on the unit is bright and has good video quality. I have a 7 in Google smart display in my bathroom. That unit has the Adaptive lighting control which works pretty well, but really when I'm in the kitchen I like a nice bright display and the Lenovo does that very well. The unit picks up the Wi-Fi signal pretty good, and we don't really notice any buffering or slow downs while we are streaming. Overall this is a very nice unit and I'd recommend it to anybody especially if you can catch it on a sale for a Benjamin!

It has every feature, including a camera, except there is no bluetooth out capability. So, for example, if you have a bluetooth speaker that you would like cast audio to, this device cannot. It is unfortunate. I am thinking strongly about returning it.

I bought it primarily as a digital picture frame for photos I have backed up to Google Photos and the screen is great for it. It has also become my main clock and main way to check the weather since those can be shown as an overlay as well. It works great with my Philips Hue lights and WeMo switches as well. In the Google Home app you can change the background, notification settings, date display, weather display, how to handle portrait images on the landscape screen, and the speed of the slideshows from 5s up to 10min per picture.

The stand takes up a little bit of space if put on a kitchen counter, but not too much. It has a very nice screen, easy to use and set up. The google assistant is awesome!! Super convenient, I was able to sync everything and makes life so much easier!!

Now we have the Lenovo smart display 10". Game changer. My kids love it. They can walk up and call me on Duo with video anytime they miss me or just need to chat. Makes it so much easier to communicate with them. It also works just like any other Google assistant product. The speaker is full range including bass that gives it a rich full sound. The design allows you to keep it in landscape or portrait mode. It also has the slider to close off the camera if you choose. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a smart display

Got it exchanged after having to call 3 different departments and 3 service tickets later. 2nd one not able to do Duo video calling. I've checked multiple times in Google Home app to make sure it is enabled for Duo video calling. Still no luck. What a disappointment.

This smart display is very elegant to put in your living room/bedroom/kitchen and is as versatile as Google Nest Hub. Aesthetically, it blends into your home decor and is able to run a slideshow of your Google Photos, make video calls with your friends/relatives and is an easy way to view things that you interact with assistant - Eg. Kitchen timers, WiFi enabled plugs, youtube videos, recipes, etc. Highly recommended !

Only complaint is, I didn't realize it runs "Android Things" - which is apparently different than whatever Google-branded smart home products is running, and apparently they don't get the same updates/features. So occasionally it doesn't seem as smart as my Google Home Mini, and now I understand why. Even so, would buy again.

Can't run apps like a normal tablet so that's definitely a negative. Doesn't have a battery so it always has to be plugged in. Works great as a photo frame for your google pictures but that's about it. I would recommend getting a tablet instead like the Yoga Smart Tab with google assist.

Also connected with my Yi Home cameras and the image lags so much it doesn't show anything on screen. However microphones and video work very well. Sad that there is still no group calling capability. Overall great as an immobile, handsfree smart hub device to connect smart devices other than some security cameras.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it This is the first stand alone device of this nature I have owned. So far I love it, video calls are now something I am willing to do more often. No need to hold my phone while family talk for hours. I can ask google to set a timer, alarm, and find recipes among other things. Yes I can do this manually as well, but it is convenient when you need a 2nd or 3rd timer running. Found out by accident that it will at least two timers simultaneously.

It only opens an app if you stream from it but you cant "free browse" apps like youtube and do a search on your own. Everything is guided by the voice commands which limits the potential of this device. Screen has a little video lag but its not too noticeable if you aren't a techie. After extensive research, I decided to go with the Lenovo. I am so glad I did. I love my morning updates, hearing my calendar, the news and so much more. It works fabulously with our smart bulbs and smart plugs. It makes calls, plays a slideshow all day long of my photos and so much more. It’s a must-have for those who love to cook too. Do your research but in the end, give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. I purchased one for each of my sons and I’m thinking of getting another for my bedroom. Love this product.

It makes all the things you can do with a Google Home a little bit better as you can see feedback and extra information. The sound quality is very good for the size, sounding much better than the small Google Home Minis and at least on par with the Google Home. It has quick access to commonly used smart home features (swipe down from the top) and gives you the ability to watch videos directly on the device. While not in use you can set it up to pull photos from one of your albums or it will show a large clock when it is "asleep". It has a built in camera (mainly for video calls) with a physical cover so no need to worry about any privacy issues if you have it set up in a bedroom. We have it in our kitchen and find it very useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Alexa We have 4 Echos, imcluding an Echo Show, and have been annoyed by how often Alexa is unable to answer a question and how frequently Alexa responds to a question with an attempt to sell us something else. The Google/Lenovo is much smarter than Alexa for the kinds of questions we ask (usually the kind of thing you'd query Google for) and also has a great connection to YouTube. We like the fact that we can watch the news easily as well. There are still plenty of times when a question can't be answered, but overall it's way better than Alexa. The only kink so far is making a standard call but that might be with Google, we've made video calls and it works. Looking up things on YouTube etc. works great. It doesn't work like a tablet that you can just Google anything but it works good at what it does. It is neat seeing a picture of what you looked up. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to Set Up, but I like it to display photos I thought it was incredibly difficult to set up, particularly compared to the Echo Dot (which is basically plug and play). The Smart Display requires use of the Google Home app, and nothing is intuitive there. I spent way too much time getting it to work and came this close "ll" to sending it back. I do like that it pulls pictures from Google photo albums in the cloud. I share that folder with my kids so they can drop pics there and they pop up on the Smart Display.

The display is the perfect size for my kitchen counter. Visually and audibly it's perfect. I've been using it to play music, and I find myself turning the volume down more than up. It's a nice, handy device fulfilling many functions, at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend it.

It's able to perform everything you'd expect it to perform, yet in a much greater variety of applicable scenarios, solely due to the fact that there's now a display to accompany the Google Assistant. Performance: A bit sluggish upon initial setup, but once your data/information is synced and cached, everything starts to operate smoothly. I suspect that this'll also improve over time, through software updates. Features: It's a display with Chromecast functionality built in. You can literally play anything on it, so long as your phone, tablet or laptop is nearby. Webcam is great. The ability of interact via voice and/or touch adds greater flexibility. The assistant is more contextual, examples: album art for songs, video information for what's being casted/played, visual representations for the weather as it's being spoken aloud etc. Speaker Quality: Much louder, with greater bass and soundstage detail than the original Google Home. It's no replacement for a sonos, but great audio quality for the price point. Pros: UI is gorgeous. Easy to get accustomed to using, both via one's voice or touching the screen. Integrates great with nest products. Works perfectly with youtube. Highly useful for kitchen related use cases. Notes: I'd highly recommend a Youtube Premium and/or Youtube TV Subscription, as the integrations are flawless, and you'll suddenly find yourself with a a new TV Set in the kitchen. Only Duo Video Calls work in portrait at the moment, so plan on placing the unit in landscape orientation for the time being, again software updates will most surely come with many such improvements. If you find yourself not knowing what you can do with it, there are an endless number of contextual suggestions made by the assistant for you within the OS, you just tap it, and the assistant will tell and show you what to say/ask directly on the screen. Cons: None to be honest, just that finding a suitable place to put it where it's properly in view can be a bit of a challenge at first.

I place it on my counter top with rotating stand so I can turn it easy without touching it. I have the Google home speakers through out the home. The Display allows me to see and interact with Google Home so much easier. I got the 10 inche because I did want to need my glasses to see it . I use it constanly for every thing from asking questions to managing appointment. It works flawlessly. Highly reccomend it.

Being able to cast most channels (no Netflix) is a nice touch. This product would be perfect if they could add the feature to mirror a different device from your browser. Most recipes can be easily found from searching on the device, but not all. Casting your browser from your phone/laptop would help solve this issue. I've developed a workaround of taking a screenshot of the recipe I want and sending it to my photos, but being able to cast directly would be much easier. This operates my Smartthings better than my actual GH! There are a few tweaks I would love to see. Ability to add some apps, to have open on the screen, for example a radar app. With the bad storms possible in my area, the ability to open the app by voice to view the radar would be perfect! I love the ability to view my pictures in the screensaver mode. Thank you!!!

We use it for everything from controlling the other smart devices in the house to watching TV while eating, etc. Sound quality for most activities is sufficient but not good enough for an audiophiles best listening experience. I don't expect that kind of sound quality for this device. Duo video calls are great and of course making it all work is Google's Assistant that is already superior and continues to improve. In portrait mode, the clock stays sideways in landscape mode. Duo has to use your mobile number so if you're video calling home from the office, it can't, not even allowing you to use your Google Voice number. I'm sure things will be better in a year.

I have bunch of echo show, and this thing blew away echo show. The one features I like the most is chromcast, I can play whatever in my phone at just cast it to lenovo smart display. I am waiting for some features, I have all nest products, would like to see if someone rings on my nest doorbell I can see visual feedback right away, instead asking to show me who’s at my door. I can’t wait to get few more of this to put every potential spot in my house, I will see if price drops down little bit and will buy more.

He can see me on a larger screen and he grabs at it as if I were there. I haven't really used it for anything else. I'm just starting to add "reminders" and play music. My only complaint would be that sometimes the image pixal is grady and not so clear. Not sure if it's the unit or my modem service.

I love that it is Google Assistant enabled and I can turn off my lights or ask it questions and have everything display on the screen as the Google Assistant responds. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great device This product is my third google product to get their assistant working. I had returned both of google home products because of their small size. I think Lenovo needs to push google to do several enhancements: 1 - I have my bedtime routine configured to play night music at a volume that is lower than the volume of the device, however, next morning when I ask the assistant anything I notice that the volume is as low as the bedtime routine but not back as what I expected. 2 - Google music or YouTube music seems to have too much amplification. When the volume is around 5-6, while playing music, I hear unwanted rattling on the speaker and it degrades the quality of the sound so I have to turn it back down. In the over all, this is the best google home assistant I ever had. I love the size of the display and the rear wooden design. Also the video blocking physical button is a great feature and it ensures that video is off during duo calls. Lastly, the size of the device is awesome and it presents itself well in my room [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I had hoped the Smart Display would do more, like a narrowly focused laptop or a souped up Home with a screen, but it isn't quite as full featured as I'd like. Had I checked the forums on your site with all the connectivity issues I probably wouldn't have bought it. Update the software, make it useful and I will gladly give it another review. The screen size is larger, and the sound is a bit better as well. The camera is a plus for Duo calls as well. The only downside is the device cannot transmit to a Bluetooth speaker. Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's NOT A GOOGLE HUB. It's only a Dumb Display. I bought this 10" display thinking it was a Google Hub - but it's not. It was advertised as a Hub, my online chats made me think it was a hub but - guess what. It's not a hub. It's got a nice picture and the speaker is pretty good but it cannot make calls as they say. It cannot be used to surf the web, it has no keyboard or browser. I may as well have purchased an Android Pad with a stand. This is - well - not it.

I am retired and it comes in handy in so many ways. I have certain routines set up with Google Assistant, which is great ! When I come out in the morning, the display turns on my desk lamp, tells me what is on my calendar, gives the weather report, and then plays music. Great for video chatting too! Display is beautiful! Had to send it in for “repair” which surprised me. Why not just send me a new unit or a refurbished unit as it was less than a couple weeks old. I look forward to having it back as it seems promising. The google photos integration was great and the cookbook mode worked well too. Arlo cameras weren’t loading but my nest hello loaded very quickly.

The screen is much bigger and have better resolution, and the speakers have very good sound and deep bass. The camera also is nice touch to enable Duo calling at home. Great product and great upgrade!

Could not pass up the 2019 year-end clearance bundle of the 10 inch model with the Smart Clock. Turned out that the larger display makes a world of difference with the same functionality as the smaller version. Quite pleased with both models!

We will eventually but cameras and connect them to the smart display but so far I'm impressed with it's performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Review I bought this thing on a whim, saw an ad for it in an email. I only had a general idea as to what it is, what it does, why anyone would want it. The darned thing looked like it might be fun, and I'm all about fun. It was easy to setup and going. The first thing is did was begin to pull all the images from my smartphone's cloud. Yeah, yeah, I know. Digital picture frames have been out for a billion years, but I've never had one. So, I really enjoyed being able to view my pictures in this way. I've been on a Greta Van Fleet jag for the last 6 months, so I said, "Hey Google, play Greta Van Fleet." I kid you not, it played Greta Van Fleet from some youtube channel. The volume was only about half way up, so I said, "Hey Google, turn up the volume loud!" Bam! That was some good action right there pally boy, or girl. Totally worth whatever I paid for it. I've done some daily news on it, some poking around. I find my wife does the same thing with a music channel and the volume, she's diggin' it. She also tells me I can "cast" things onto it from my smartphone. OH, I am told today she called her mother on it. Both parties gave it a thumbs up! Do I worry about someone listening in on us? No, not really. We don't do anything worth listening to, or recording in any fashion. This thing is fun to play around with, and I'm a huge fan of fun.
