I have 2 similar devices but the Jabra is the one to take with me on a business trip. The sound is good, but don't expect the 510 to double as a Bluetooth speaker for playing your daily music.

The microphone picks up voices well and the compact size makes it a great tool in my magic laptop bag when I am travelling and am in need of an impromptu conference with no open rooms available with speaker phones, I can find a quiet place and use my Jabra.

I spend lot of time on calls and I used to get some complaints in the past with background noise using other wireless headsets but this speaker has solved all those issues. From this day I tuned this device one I did not get single reported issue. With the speaker option it’s even better for ears.

There seemed to be no clear repetition or anything that could provide a clear answer for the fault. Looking online and on the Jabra website produced no answers either. In the end the crackling became more profound and often. I have therefore given it this rating. It’s worth mentioning that I did give jabra another try with their 710 model. So far this has been excelling in every way as has the 510; just without the static

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null I've had this 510 device about 2 weeks now and have used it several times for both telephone/Skype/TMS Teams calls and listening to music, the audio has always been very good and device always works as expected and is easy to use. Pairing was quick and easy. The only think that confuses me and this is probably a technical issue is the need to use a Wireless dongle despite it having its own USB lead which seems to only be for charging. But this is a small issue and not really of any operation consequence. Battery charge time is quick and the battery life is long and I've not had to recharge the unit to date, but the battery charge lights around the edge tell me its not far to go. All in all, I'm very happy with the 510 and have recommended it to several of my colleagues

I updated the firmware and software recently and everything works like a charm! Glad I didn't buy a new device. This one should last for some time to come!

Many bluetooth speaker has no mic mute button which is very important for conference call with long hours duration and noisey surrounding. Harman kardon esquire 2 has the mute button but the price is much higher.

Microphone can easily pick-up up to six people around a table, larger meetings become a problem. First I had an issue with unwanted noises in the audio output and occasional lag in performance. Then I found out that Windows 10 has an adaptive setting for USB power output. Disabling the adaptiveness from the power output seems to have fixed the problems.

My laptop has Bluetooth internally. I can use the speaker with the internal Bluetooth, but then there is no control from the 510 speaker.

The speaker volume is very good even in large rooms so that all present can hear those on calls easily. The microphone is best for small to medium rooms, in large rooms (U-shaped conference tables 20+ people) folks in the room need to speak towards the microphone. This was not expected. The USB, blue tooth and Skype support make this product very flexible for any conference medium

I carry this in my backpack with my laptop. 2). I can be connected to a computer by either USB cable (where it is powered), or by Blue Tooth. 3). When used with a laptop, it is a better speaker for teleconferences (loud, quality of sound). 4). When used in a meeting with a laptop, it can be placed at the end of the conference table, and used as an additional speaker for the meeting. 5). I use this all the time for Corporate Skype conference calls. 6). Connect nicely to my cell phones via Blue Tooth and makes a better speaker phone then does my cell phones. Will answer the cell phone from the Speak 510 and also will hang up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null The little puck that can. I needed to have a board meeting in a place without a landline. I found this product so I could use my iphone instead. Ran a 6-hour meeting with it on just battery. The speaker is good enough for the huge room. The mic is for a smaller room (5-6 person space). So we had to pass "Puck" around. But it still saved the day overall. Quite crisp when closeish (according to those on the phone). Amazingly efficient and thoughtful design. And I've used with the usb plug in on my computer too.

I’ve recommended it to plenty of people, especially if you do a lot of calls at work. The only flaw is that it does not come with the USB charger base, so I needed to find a base to plug it in to. But I had one lying around, so it wasn’t really a problem at all.

With the speaker unit centrally placed on the table and set at full volume, all of us were able to hear and be heard on a cell phone call linked to the Jabra. Understanding that the 510 is intended for smaller groups, it would have been nice to have the speaker put out slightly more volume, but otherwise the portability and easy of connecting make this a good product. Streaming music at lower volume levels, perhaps as a background at social gatherings, is acceptable.

In general, the product is good and very easy to use, however, the sound quality is outdated, furthermore, the speaker could easily be used as a speaker for music at the office if the sound was better. I would buy a better and more ”up to date” model next time.

People on the other side of the call claim to hear me very good. Instalation with the USB to PC was simple plug & play and with BT to smartphone simple and immediate ready for use. I love the Speak 500 and recommend it to any one using their PC for voice calls like VoIP Skype and Co.

I have also paired it with my phone, I get better call quality that with the phone's built-in speakerphone capabilities. The cord wrap is a nice feature, but there is no way to capture the USB connector when you are done wrapping...seems like an oversight.

I have many headsets with mics, but it's too hard to wear these headsets for a long time. Speak 510 works for me. It's easy to set up/to use, and it provides everything I need for a home-based worker. I have used it for a few weeks, and I am totally confidence that it's a great productivity tool (for an individual or for a small group 2-4,5 persons). Do not use it to listen to music; however.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null I like this speaker because it works well both plugged in and on battery. The controls are easy to operate, the sound is very clear, and volume is very good. It picks up my phone crazy fast once I turn on the Bluetooth. The distance is good, which sometimes means you forget you're still on the speaker as you walk about your house.

We used it on a Google Hangout inside a busy Shopping Centre food court and the peeps on the other end said that it took a few seconds to adjust, but the Jabra then zeroed in our voices and they couldn't hear anything else going on around us. Unbelievable!

I would have also liked the green lights to show me the answer button when the phone is ringing as sometimes when it is a little dark I the room I am unable to see exactly where the answer button is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad I made this purchase. I've connected the speakerphone to my work laptop using the USB connection. A bluetooth connection is not allowed where I work. When I connected the speaker to the laptop, it was plug-n-play. The speaker is terrific and I do not get any feedback when using Zoom, Webex, Google meet or MS Teams.

Wired connection works very well. Works with Skype, GTM, Zoom, any Bluetooth phone. Battery-powered is great. It’s built to last. Not your music player, though. I carry my Speak at all times, use it regularly, recommend it to anyone who runs meetings.

Connected instantly with no menus to fiddle on my phone or computer and simultaneously connects both - no switching back and forth. I connected the special function button google search on my phone. Now I have a remote speaker phone and can do voice dialing without picking up my phone. Seconds later I can be on a skype call without having to deal with menus to select it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null The speaker is a wonderful addition to our boardroom. We have 25 people around a big conference style table and another 5-10 who need remote access to our meetings. With just a few short clicks, the BluTooth connects to any smart phone and our conference call can go 'live'. The only issues we have are because of the kind of room we use: way too large for our group size and too high a ceiling. So, to remedy the situation, we pass the speaker around the room to whomever is talking (easy to do because of wifi connectivity) and we also use a cordless mic that amplifies the speaker's sound through our room's sound system. These two quick-fixes solved the problems quickly and effectively!
