Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved me during the 2021 ERCOT debacle in Texas!!! I had just purchased this YETI 1 month before the famous ERCOT disaster for Texas. It saved me!! I could use a heating blanket, make tea and coffee... run a small heater for a few minutes to warm up the room...was without power in 10 degree weather for almost 3 days. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best I added the 1500x to my arsenal. I also own a 1400 and 3000x along with Boulder 200/300 panels. I am very pleased with performance. Our power goes out quite a bit and I can now depend on these units to run my refrigerators with no noise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Studio Power This size Yeti replaced a smaller one that ran my lights and tv just fine, but this summer I planned on adding a portable evaporative cooler so I upsized. Works great - I got the more powerful ac charger just in case the sun lets me down. This will also handle a PS4 when my husband takes over!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from worth every penny This is a very handy portable generator. Ran some QC Tests and it powered my Fridge for over 24 hours off a full charge. It was able to handle more when I connected the solar panels. Unbelievable power for such a small footprint. highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powered up 4 Ham Radios for a day! I am the Field Day coordinator for my Ham radio club. Field Day is an annual event to test the ability to set up emergency communications in North America. I volunteered to use my Yeti 1500X to power our 4 radio transmitters the day of the event. We powered the operations for almost 6 hours with the Yeti and a solar panel. At the end of the day, the Yeti still had about 30% capacity remaining, It was a great test of the Yeti!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Power Station The 1500X works as advertised. Easy charging whether via solar (we have 200w of Boulder panels), 12v car charger, standard AC charger, or fast charger. Inverter allows for several devices to be powered simultaneously. Really great power station!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent ending to a good story My wife and I purchased our Yeti 1500x way back in November of 2021. We charged it up and used it sporadically until the Spring camping season hit. At our wilderness campsite at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, we powered a mini-fridge(65Watts), lights(25Watts), fans(20 Watts), personal devices, and a laptop(combined less than 20 Watts). The system worked flawlessly. And then fall came and we changed the unit over to powering our hydroponic garden with the sun and occasionally used the AC adapter.(much smaller draw, less than 50Watts total). Something failed on the unit causing less battery longevity and very slow charging no matter if I charged with the panels (our Boulder 200 briefcase easily supplies 175 Watts in the Arizona sun) or if I used the AC power (normal output is 120Watts). Anyhow, I called customer service on a Tuesday afternoon and was immediately greeted by an extremely helpful Goal Zero employee named Becka (I hope I spelled it right, forgot to ask). Anyhow, not fully knowing what is wrong, Goal Zero stepped up and is exchanging the faulty unit for a new one. I truly appreciate what this company is doing for not only their customers, but also making the world just a touch cleaner! I had rated it 5 stars earlier in my ownership and will continue to give it that rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Failed when we needed it most Bought this as a backup for the freezer we store my wife's extra breast milk in. She is on medication that she shouldn't breastfeed on and so she pumped an extra 3000 oz of breast milk while on maternity leave while she didn't need to take her medication. We were going to be away for a month to visit family and let them get to spend time with our newborn son. We just got back and everything in the freezer has to be thrown away. The unit was on 91% but for some reason the output outlet turned itself off. There is no notification when this happens. I have the app and could have turned it on if I was notified. This is especially disappointing because this happened at the same time as the formula shortage. Seems like a good unit for camping or when you are able to monitor it but there is no way I will be able to trust this product to perform for critical times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not all features work Seems like a good product in theory, but the wifi connection through the app is malfunctioning on the unit I received. A friend has one as well and was able to hook up his to my wifi network no problem, so I know it is not an issue on my end. I have tried every possible way to contact Goal Zero including sitting on the phone on hold to get help. With what these things cost and the total lack of response from the company, I would not recommend. Will likely return this malfunctioning unit to REI. It is too bad because I really wanted it to work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely Not disappointed! I bought the 1500X to power my full size LG refrigerator during the summer months to lower my electric bill. I was using a Yeti 1000 core and that worked well for me but I could only use the Yeti 1000 for about 6 to 8 hours a day. The Yeti 1500X I can use for at least 10 to 12 hours a day. Then at night use the Yeti 1000 to charge the 1500X while the refrigerator is still plugged in the 1500X. During the day I recharge the 1000 with my Boulder 200 solar panel. Sometimes I reverse and use the 1000 for the refrigerator and the 1500X to recharge the 1000. I’m still experimenting but seems to work well. I also like that the Yeti’s are stackable. Definitely not disappointed with the 1500X I just wish it had more charge cycles or at least a replacement battery. Same with the Yeti 1000. But both are good products. ?? Goal Zero keeps improving their line. I highly recommend. I’d like to test more of their products and give reviews on my YouTube.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fairly decent axolotl life support system I’ve been thinking about this for extended camping trips for years but finally necessity made it happen. We were moving from Philly to Denver and decided to camp our way across i90. The problem was that we had to transport out axolotl. Maintaining 65F in a 30 gallon tank on a 95 degree day is tough. We had the tank pump, a chiller and a dometic refrigerator/freezer attached, as well as the occasional cell phone. A full charge got about 5-6 hours with all this attached. You would obviously get much more life out of a full charge if not running 3 pumps. We had to get creative with finding power sources mid-day. Fun fact, most restaurants with A/C have a service receptacle installed nearby. I purchased three accessories. The rapid charger: absolutely necessary for doing something like this. Will allow you to get half a charge while eating lunch. The car charger: we used this while driving and couldn’t tell the difference. Maybe with a smaller load it would be more useful. The protective container: Garbage. The battery overheats too fast when using it. If you do buy it do not fast charge with it. Overall great product. 4stars because of the case and the obnoxious flashing charging light which I had to watch for 31 hours.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well - expensive though It works well, and it charges quickly with the Ranger 300. It is just so expensive for a battery that is only going to last so long. I guess the cost is what it is, but I hope it becomes more accessible over time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get the 200 watt solar panels The 200 watt solar panels to charge the 1500X are definitely worth the buy since the most input I can get from them are 175 watts and that's if they're positioned basically perfectly. A typical input is 140 watts. I'm obsessed with my 1500X and try and use it all the time, especially for yard work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best battery ever Last year I chose to change my life by doing what they call “vanlife” I did research on many things and the hardest part was how to supply my entire van with power without running the engine. Many people told me I would need multiple batteries, inverters and all kinds of stuff. But then I found the goal zero. It made life so easy with easy connecting and small enough to store under bed. It powers my roof fan. Fridge, coffee maker, grittle, toaster oven, wifi router as well as charges all my devices. I did this by connecting solar panels to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for short-term home battery backup The Yeti 1500X is the perfect small, silent, backup power solution. We live in Northern California where wildfire risks have increased the frequency of our power being shutoff during wildfire season and in the winter heavy rains can also cause disruptions. Going from a heavy and loud gas generator to the absolutely silent Yeti 1500X was incredible. We installed the home integration kit as well as a few Power Tanks and now we have a great backup solution that keeps the most important things with power during our frequent short outages. The power station itself is easy to use. My youngest child quickly understood it and is able to switch our home circuits over when needed. The portability is a huge win as well as we can take it camping with us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough built & long lasting. I own the 1500X for to years now. Great powerstation for the outdoors. Even with direct sunlight and extreme heat inside my car, the powerstations withstands the power draw and charging input. Experienced that quite differently with other manufacturers. Can someone tell me if the 1500X is able to be charged simultaneously with 12V-input via cigarette-lighter-plug (of course with the GZ 12V cable) AND solar panel at once?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from yeti 1500x multiple failures bought in sept/22 to run our tv/sat setup which draws 150watts. added the extra battery which was charged by the mppt solar charger from solar panels. 1st failure was the plug from the battery to the module which melted, this was v2. this was a known problem with their v1. the module was supposed to draw 750 watts from the battery but it was drawing 823 watts, see photo. they quickly replaced the module and plug. 2nd failure was it got stuck in the update loop which none of the normal rebooting would fix. finally found the fix which required opening the case and unplugging the screen first and then the battery ec8 plugs. it fixed the problem but is very daunting with all the wires in there. 3rd failure was the usb out, it stopped working 4th failure is the 120v out. It is now giving the “overload” error even with nothing plugged in. battery profile is balanced. Battery is charged. None of the rebooting techniques can fix this so its going back to factory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid System I specialize in being ready when all else fails. The Yeti 1500 hits the mark, in multiple ways. First, it supports Anderson PowerPoles out of the box, a huge plus for Amateur Radio. It supports numerous recharging options - commercial mains, and solar. It has the juice to run several pieces of gear while charging others, and that is before the sun goes down. And it is light enough that most people can move it easily. I should note that it is lighter than a similarly rated gas generator, but it still has a mass that has to be accounted for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1500X for off Grid Emergency Power. I love this product. Just installed the home power panel for 4 circuits in the event we are without power for a long time. Tested it today for powering a side by side refrigerator and freezer and a full floor of lights. Test was perfect and we can now know that we will have full off grid power in the event of a major power outage. Excellent product and well made!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from well worth it I've had the 1500X about 6 weeks. It was purchased as a backup system for Hurricane season in Florida. I have charged it several times using solar panels (2 * Boulder 200's and a wall outlet. It was very easy to set up and use. It charges slower than i expected with the Boulder panels. It has run my fridge for 28 hours without being re charged. It looses at least 15 WH a day even if you don't use it. Some days if you check using WIFI several times it looses 25 WH per day. So far its done what I got it for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well worth the money & I haven’t even used it yet. During a recent, multiple-day power outage in NC this unit powered my buddy’s deep freezer & fridge no problem. We charged it when he had the generator running & used it at night for quiet power. I only have 2 minor dings….. 1. Sell it with the 230 watt charger standard & leave the lower wattage ones for the smaller units. That’s a looong charge time when you’re running a generator to charge it in an emergency. 2. The “combiners” don’t combine charging inputs; it just picks the highest one. If you plug the standard charging cable & a car charging cable into the combiner the two wattages don’t add together. Those things aside (which is just me being picky) it’s stupid easy to use & performs exactly how they say it does.

Full featured for almost every need, so well designed. Can you tell I'm a Goal Zero fan?! Yes they are "proud of their product" but in my opinion, it's well worth the price because of the quality, features and best of all their customer support. If you can afford a Yeti X, don't get anything less. I am a senior citizen, service-connected disabled war veteran in the US Northeast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from unhappy camper (overlander) I have been waiting for this product for sometime and when it was finally released I ran out to REI and ordered it. It was the very portable option to doing a dual battery set up in my truck. I went this route. After opening the box I was very pleased with the looks and features it has. It worked great running the fridge from the 12 v plug which my 400 yeti always struggled with......then the fun began. It won't charge...... Called support and the nice girl on the other end of the line tells me "oh yeah there is some sort of firmware issue and the unit doesn't recognize the power adaptor and you need the 8mm to Anderson adaptor."......ok thanks you have recognized an issue and are providing a solution. New part arrives and I am excited to finally fully charge my unit.....still not charging. Now I have had the unit for 3 weeks and still can not use it. I am going to MOAB in a few weeks and this is what the unit was purchased for, not sure I will have it to use. I have thousand of dollars in Goal Zero products, lights, solar panels, power packs and this is my 3rd yeti. Everything has been great...until now. I hope this problem is resolved soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Replacement For The Bluetti My 2022 Sprinter conversion van came with a Bluetti hooked up to the solar panels on the roof to power lights and the exhaust fan. The Bluetti never charged will and did NOT keep a charge all night. Once I installed the Yeti 1500X I was amazed at how efficient it was and how long it stayed charged. Also, it was charging faster and better (higher watts) than the Bluetti using the solar panels. I like the features that you can press a button to selectively turn on/off the AC or DC output - that is useful for me when I sleep on my air mattress. The only issue I had was finding a way to retrofit the cables from the Bluetti to the Yeti - nothing a little cutting and splicing couldn't fix, though. Very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product...As Usual This is my second Goal Zero power station and I'm still using my first one that has been in use for over 8 years and going strong. The 1500x is much bigger and intended for extended power outages that we are prone to, especially in winter. I won't say I'm looking forward to the next power outage but I will say that at least now, I'm prepared for it. Many thanks to Goal Zero.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nonexistent customer service I've owned this Yeti 'system' for almost 2 months. It arrived well over due and didn't have all the cabling expected for the 3 solar panels. I re-ordered the cabling and it has now been a month. They claim the sent to an erroneous address. I only have one address on file... So my review is poor, poor service. My faith in the equipment is tainted and my expectations are low. Lord help me or anyone if the service is this bad, wonder how bad the warranty service will be?!
