Product as received does not work.
I wrote this review on Aril 28. I am still waiting for my replacement in order to review a working model.
Shredder does not work right out of the packaging.
I received my GBC ShredMaster PX08-04 Cross-Cut Paper Shredder, removed it from the box, read the instructions, and plugged it in. I moved the control bar to the left to start the shredder. There was no noise from the motor and the shredder would not accept paper when I tried to feed it. I moved the control bar to the far right and the motor activated. This position is the reverse mode and paper could not be fed into the shredder. I contacted customer service and I was told I would receive a new shredder which I am waiting for.

Disappointed!!!
I bought the X308 shredder from Lazada, unpacked and tried to feed it the very first piece of paper. It simply refused to work despite switching it forward or reverse. Googled and checked everything to make sure I was using it correctly but still no luck. Such a waste of time! Now I'll have to pack it and return it, and lose even more time without even shredding one sheet of paper!!

Great shredder
I really like this shredder! It's not very noisy which is excellent. It's very suitable for my home office and I'm quite pleased with it. I feel much safer knowing that my documents are shredded properly

Easy to use and reliable
The shredder was easy to assemble and easy to use, I was able to start using it within minutes of opening the box. This unit has a small footprint and I am able to store it discreetly in my home office. It shreds multiple pages of even harder stock paper with ease. We have had the shredder for a couple of months now and it has been very reliable.

Perfect for home office!

Works Well
I am really enjoying this shredder and how compact it is. It works well and is easy to use. I do like the cutaways on the side to help grip and transport the unit. The best shredder
I love the GBC shredder it is the best shredder I have ever used . It really shreds my personal papers in no time .the papers don't get caught in the shredder and the shredder doesn't get jammed ,I would buy this shredder .I have already recommended it and I wasn't aware of this shredder. Here are some great things about this shredder it has a reverse option it also has a light that comes on if the shredder gets to hot so you know to wait a bit before using it again . All in all this is a great shredder that's made of quality materials that are sure to last .

Definitely recommend!
I am loving this GBC ShredMaster PX08-04 Cross-Cut Paper Shredder! I have always wanted a cross cut shredder and this certainly does the trick! It feels good to be able to dispose of mail and tax records knowing they can't be stolen for information. I now have a goal to delete all of my old paperwork.

Great for home office
We received this GBC shredder and thought it was perfect for our home office. It handles about five sheets of paper at a time with ease. It has a nice reverse feature if jams occur. Cleaning is a breeze with the removable shredding component. And its very easy to empty the collector bucket below. Perfect for any home or home office. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because it would be nice if it could handle more pages at once but this is shredder by GBC is perfect for home use.

compact and works great to protect identity
The GBC Shredmaster PX08-04 is a good shredder. I like that it is small and compact, but still does the job to protect my identifying information. It is very easy to use and shreds my documents quickly. It allows the ability to shred up to 8 pages, 8 ½ inches wide at a time which makes it much more convenient to use. If your documents are larger, you can just fold the document and then feed it through the shredder. In doing so, you can shred virtually any size document. (it will not shred a credit card) I don't have to spend as much time at the shredder since it does more than one page. I also like that I do not have to empty the shredder right away. The bin will hold up to just about 4 gallons. (3.96 gallons to be exact) To use, simply plug it in and turn it on. There is a very bright blue light that turns on so that you know that it is ready to use. I also look at this as a safety feature so that you know that it is on. It's a great indicator light. The shredder will also go in reverse in case you happen to have issues with the shredder getting stuck. This is a nice feature which could come in handy if you put too many documents in at once. When shredding, the documents goes all the way through. It does not leave anything un-shredded or left in the blades. This is important so that no critical information is left behind that is readable. The opening is very thin which is nice. However, it is wide enough to allow documents to go in, but it helps to protect your fingers. In all reality, all you really need to do is put the paper document in the opening and it grabs it and automatically feeds it through and shreds for you. I don't see any reason why you would have to worry about your fingers anyway, but it is a nice feature in case you have little kids around. The shredder is convenient. I like the way that it shreds, into small little pieces. It is small enough to store in small places, but large enough so that I don't have to empty it all that often. Love it!

Small And Portable But Needs Card Shredder
The GBC ShredMaster PX08-04 is a great personal for small shredding jobs. Quieter than other shredders I've used and doesn't seem to get jammed as much as comparable shredders. It does lack the option of shredding credit cards.
