Easy to install and performance is where I needed it to be for some of my digital imaging programs. Very pleased with the ease of installing and my PC performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from only runs in single channel mode. bought this for my XPS 8940, it comes in 1 STICK 16gb only, I thought it was 2 sticks of 8gb. Unfortunately when you mix 8gb x 2 and 16gb x 1 the ram only runs in single channel model, which means a drop in performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great I used some of the Dell Rewards cash from buying my main system to subsidize my purchase. One star off because it was difficult to determine the correct type of memory for my system. The dell memory picker recommended this, while Dell CS initially recommended another type of memory that was nearly triple the price. After pressing then on it, I found out what I needed. The memory worked great out of the box and I doubled the memory to run 32GB in dual channel. Noticed an immediate spike in my FPS with no downsides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Check the name DIMM is great. Just watch out from the name. I wanted 2x8gb DIMMs and thought that was what i ordered, but it turned out to be 1x16gn DIMM. It took a long time wiht Support to find out that it did not need the balanced pair and I could used the one I got. It works fine.

I then consulted with Dell on obtaining another 16GB which would give me a total of 48GB of RAM which they told me would work, I purchased, installed and the system would not boot up. After hours and days of testing, phone calls & chatting with Dell technical support, it was finally determined that the XPS 8940 configuration would not handle 48GB. Must be 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128. Returned this RAM for refund.
