Would recommend to anyone who has the appropriate slot and needs speed or storage upgrade

The laptops booted up so much quicker and everything I do on them is so much faster. The laptops are now back in use instead of in the recycle heap.

Starts up almost instantly and is so much more responsive. I did have it installed by a professional, so I had no doubts about its outcome. It's like having a brand new computer, simply amazing. Don't sell your old computer, just get it upgraded an save yourself a load of money.

During my test it beat out all the top brand M2 (Seagate Firecuda 520, Sabrent Rocket, and the PNY XLR8 CS3040) in every category.

It appears that this Crucial upgrade, which is listed by the seller (Crucial) as compatible, has the 4 X 4 connection protocol. NOT the 3.0 X 2. So does this mean the this Crucial upgrade I've purchased is NOT COMPATIBLE ??? I will not attempt to install until I can resolve this question AND I will need to return for a 3.0 X 2 SSD exchange (with partial refund) if the 4 X 4 cannot function in this slot.

The Crucial videos available made it very easy to install and the Acronis true image software worked great to create a system image I could just transfer to the new drive. I think I was done with the image and the install in less than 20 minutes even with the data transfer. One note is a Nvme to USB 3.2 drive works great for the Acronis software to do the system image. The device is around $25.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My exposure to the expanding world of SSDs After ordering I watched "How to Upgrade M.2 SSD & Memory in HP 15.6" Laptop" on YouTube because I had never seen a hard drive that looks like a memory stick and I did not see a video on crucial that fit my situation which is a Model HP Laptop 15-dy1xxx. The YouTube said at 10:48 that a M.2 sata works but a NVMe will have problems. I was very nervous because I know nothings about these sticks and I marveled that crucial is willing to stick their necks out on people like me. Prying the laptop apart was a chore, but so far so good, it's been a few days now and it may be my imagination but the laptop seems faster now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Caution if you plan on adding this to your computer I wanted to add a second SSD drive to my computer for speed, reliability, etc. Crucial's web app said it was compatible with my computer. I didn't take apart the machine before ordering, but when I went to install the SSD drive, there was only one SSD slot in the machine and it was occupied by Win10. I didn't want to reinstall Windows since I have lots of SW, etc. on my box. It'd be nice if they checked the number of SSD slots on your specific computer model and warned the buyer that an OS upgrade might be required to use this product.
