Totally transformed my PC's speed
My PC used to take about 10 minutes to fully start up. Video editing was painfully slow. Now its a joy to use since I upgraded to this SSD. The Acronis Image software made it very simple to swap drives without losing any data or having to reinstall Windows

Wish I Was Told About The Other Part You Need For This.
So I was dealing with my original HHD drive in my laptop for years. Honestly, it served me very well throughout the years. That is, until a few weeks ago when I realized my computer was getting abnormally slower than usual. I used to be able to have a bunch of screens up while playing on my computer. Now I'm lucky enough if my computer doesn't suddenly crash while I'm looking at two different software. When I found out that the better SSD were available, I really wanted to make sure that I got the best for what I was going to be doing for my daily projects. I decided to go all the way and go for the 4TB version since I planned to keep up with this current laptop for a while and don't plan on buying a new computer anytime soon.
I did receive the product today and was really excited to try and install it to my laptop. Only one problem though. It does not come with the required SATA cord that you need to transfer your copy data of your current hard drive. While I am at the least pretty tech savvy, the site doesn't really go into much detail about a person needing to have some adapters to work with certain big product purchases, which isn't a good selling point for large priced products such as this SSD drive. I'm more of a one time purchaser and if I don't get everything that I need in the beginning, chances are I don't usually come back to to get everything that I missed. In fact, none of the products that I purchased told me anything about these adapter cords which makes my other products kind of useless. So now I can't really use the product that I paid for and I have to either buy an actual cord (which by the way of me looking through your store, is not on your site anymore), or I'll just have to wait a bit to actually use this product in my laptop.
So, right now, the recommendations for this product is ok, but I just want to make clear that advertising for certain products where you don't get the adapter offered or at least mentioned about it before your purchase could have been presented better in the beginning of purchase. But I am really excited to try it out one day and along with a larger storage size for all of your projects.

I have revived an older laptop for my Grandson to use.
It seems to have given us a speed up that was needed for this laptop.
It has saved us a lot of money to date.

I would buy again…buttttt.
Nice they offer larger capacity drives, but cloning is a problem. Some reason it comes with acronis cloning which is out dated and gets formatted when trying to clone to it.

A bit tricky install on my 2017 27 inch iMac.
I did not realise I needed an adapter bracket. Lucky Ifixedit had the bracket. Also the Apple clone worked BUT when installed I got a boot error message. I had to do a reinstall of Ventura ((latest OS as I write this.) to get it working. Very good instructions from Crucial and IfixedIt. Since I had to order the bracket, I ordered the temperature sensor as well. Note You must have the adhesive strips and roller tool from IdidIt.

I have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro 13". I have previously upgraded the memory and hard drive (1T SSD) now to a 4T SSD. Fit is perfect.

I had nothing but trouble with the 4TB MX500s
I could not use as external backup drives. They kept randomly unallocating themselves. The problem could not be solved, so they were replaced with the smaller P5 Plus sticks. It kind of sucks, since they're not 4TB, but no problems with those. They don't have any problem being used as external drives.

Warranty service is garbage
It's a good ssd, but hope you don't need support. I put in a request, more than 24 hrs later they email me asking for basic info thay could've been asked for in the request. I get it back and multiple days later I have rma info. No option for cross shipping. Crucial does not seem to realize that a drive going down can make an entire computer unusable for the whole time the drive is unavailable. Really not acceptable care for anything crucial to your computer.

Absolutely Wonderful Decision!!!
I have as much knowledge of computers as the average novice. Changing the old HHD to an SSD was much easier than I anticipated, and I absolutely love the quickness of the new MX500 4T SSD. The directions and videos walked me through it step-by-step, and now my Dell XPS 8900 runs like a charm. The Acronis cloning software worked perfectly! I also added RAM even though I didn't need it. I don't use any high-demand apps or games. Here is a couple examples of the improvement of my Dell desktop:
1. Boot-up used to take 12 minutes. Now... 55 seconds.
2. Opening Chrome used to take 50 seconds. Now... 3 seconds.
3. Virus scans are much quicker now, although I haven't timed them.
4. Virus updates used to take 1 minute. Now.... 10 seconds.
5. Shut Down used to take 2 minutes. Now... 15 seconds.
