An SSD installed in a desktop MUST have one of these
I found out the hard way when the SSD would not install in my desktop. Completely halted the rebuild.

2.5 SSD Install Bracket
The bracket fit the 2.5 SSD well with the supplied screws, but did not fit the drive bay. There was no good way that I could see to attach it in the drive bay with screws, so I used a few zip ties. I have a Dell XPS 8700.

Only for very large desktops
Since this only fits in large desktops that have a horizontal HDD it would be nice if they made a cheap bracket for vertical mounted HDD

SSD Install Bracket (3.5-inch) not quite as expected
Well-made aluminium bracket. My elderly desktop had no top/bottom access for securing screws so had to drill fairly precision holes and find some self-tapping screws to secure from the side. This is the reason for 3 stars rather than five. The ssd fitted perfectly in its position on the bracket.
