There is no loss of quality I have seen. I get more Chromatic Aberration with familiar lenses than I have seen before but I think that is the camera not the adapter

This mount adapter represents a very elegant solution for those people who are already in the Canon ecosystem and have a significant investment in lenses, but wish to migrate to the new EOS R mirrorless platform.
Every Canon lens I have in my inventory mounts perfectly with this adapter, with no discernable impact on auto focus or any other functionality.
EF lenses mount flawlessly, and in an incredibly elegant way my EF-S lenses are cropped automatically!
Flawless execution and elegant solutions from Canon on this. $99 is entirely reasonable and makes this an incredible value.

I've been a loyal Canon customer for 20 yrs, but..
I waited for years for Canon to finally produce a mirrorless camera that could rival Sony's offerings. I bought the 5D Mark IV to hold me over, and I kept all of my Canon lenses hoping Canon would deliver someday on the camera I really wanted. The R wasn't that camera, so I waited longer. Finally, Canon delivered everything I wanted in the R5, but the adapter I need for my pre-ordered R5 has been on back order for weeks now. Looks like I will have a body with no lenses until Canon fulfills my order. The R5 will be an expensive paper weight until they do.

It works, but without IBS.
It works. And if you have an R camera and EF lenses, you need it. Sucks that the EF lenses don't allow for IBS though.

Simple, well made and reasonably priced
One of the draws to Canon is reliability well yes it is just an adapter, but it is well made and also accepts EF-S lenses. My EF mount lenses work as if on a DSLR. I am also pleased with the price. Many times these adapters are as much as a lens. Good to see reasonable price. Only issue is they did not manufacture enough to meet demand.

I was gifted an R7 to replace my 77D. I don't have the funds currently to buy new lenses so I bought the adapter so that I could use what I have. I haven't used it much, shot some wildlife photos while on vacation. It worked fine for that.

I had tried another manufacturer's adapter first, but it fit poorly so I bought the genuine Canon version. This one attaches to the camera perfectly and the lenses attach to it perfectly. Now all my old lenses work on the new camera body. This is a must have even if you have one older lens.
The image quality is great, so I don't feel like I'm sacrificing anything. It's very light and compact, so I barely notice the extra bulk.

Excellent adapter for older EF/EF-S glass
I had hoped to be able to get all new RF lenses but was unable to before a trip and so I ordered the basic adapter and used it with a Sigma 18-300mm EF-S lens on the trip with excellent results. The adapter and EOS RP body gave excellent sharpness and colors. Sharpness was better that I have ever achieved on a T2i and 77D. Now I may look to get some good EF lenses to use with the adapter but I love the 2 RF lenses I have purchased so I get the best of both worlds.

After seeing so many bad reviews of the third party lens adapters for the EOS R5, it was a no brainer to purchase the Canon adapter. In the past I have always purchased Canon brand accessories and have never had a single complaint.
The adapter fits perfectly. It fits tight but, not too tight. No problems with connection to the lens, no focusing issues at all.

Well made product, as expected from Canon for one of their premier cameras. I'm happy I didn't give up and purchase a 3rd party adapter. This one fits perfectly and tightly, just as it needs to do to hold some of the heavier lenses. Thank you Canon!

Not really much to say about this, does an excellent job connecting my old EF lenses to my new R6 body. The only thing I wish it could do and it may well be a firmware issue in the R6, please give me the 12 frames per second.

Definitely if you need the EF adapter for your R camera (mine is an R5 you need to stay with the Canon version. Don't skimp on the adapter since your lens is way more costly as is your camera.

I purchased this adapter after having issues with an adapter my local camera shop sold me to connect my new camera with older glass. The other adapter worked fine for about two or three weeks but after using that adapter on the daily, the lens and the camera had trouble talking to each other. I could feel a wobble, loose connection between the lens and the camera, when I held the camera on it's back and slightly wiggled the body, the lens would rock a tiny bit, causing the lens and the camera connection to break contact slightly. After purchasing the Canon Mount adapter, the connection felt strong, no wiggle. I have not used the new adapter on the daily for more than two weeks because my new lens arrived and my need for the adapter wasn't necessary.
To be fair, I had the original adapter on the camera 100% of the time, with the lens attached constantly. After all, why would I disconnect the lens adapted when I expected to use the exact same setup the next time I needed the camera for a shoot? With gear stuffed into the bag and transported to different locations daily, the treatment wasn't gentle, but not rough. I expected the adapted to be able to withstand daily use.
The Cannon adapter seems much more solidly built. I wish I could report the canon adapter stood up to constant abuse, but with my new lens, RF 14-35mm, the adapter is just not as neccessary. But I do feel much more confident having the Canon mount adapter in my bag.

This EF-E-OS R adapter does what it is suppose to do!
I bought the EF-EOS R because I have a lot of EF lens and I wanted to buy a R5 camera and not buy anymore lens to fit this camera. All the lens I have are top notch. I have tried this adapter with most of my lens and it works great. I can't be anymore happier with it, I have ordered four more so I don't have to switch the adapter so often.

My EF lenses are better than ever!
This works great with my EF lenses, and except for the added length they feel like native RF glass. The only lens I felt compelled to replace was the V1 of the 70-200 IS 2.8 L - because the RF version is lighter and shorter and sharper (and the adapter makes the EF even more front heavy). Since I am currently using a 5d IV for a backup this will allow me to use the rest of my lenses until I jump into mirrorless with both feet.

This Adapter works flawlessly, all of my EF and EF-S Canon Glass works with my EOS RP body... ( yes, the EF-S lenses need to be shot cropped in with the 1.6x Crop mode other than that I plan on also picking up some RF glass in the future

Easy Way of Using My Best Lenses
Does a fine job and was a free add-on. I haven't missed the "manual ring" so happy I didn't spend more, nor did I want to mess with filters behind the lenses as the other pricier choice. Yes it adds a little weight but doesn't effect the autofocus like extension tubes with my telephoto zooms so I'm happy with it. Since I shoot with the EOS R only when need silent mode and use my EOS 5 for other situations there is need for only one adapter ring.
