Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easier to use than my printer scanner I have a scanner on my printer, but it is a pain to use, so many steps before I can scan a page and not as easy to save where I want to store it. This CanonUSA personal document scanner is so easy to use. Just connect to your pc with a usb cable, insert the pages you want to scan, and save in your preferred format (PDF, JPG, and more). I was surprised that I can also scan business cards, receipts, legal documents, and receipts too. I was impressed with the quality of the scans too. Overall, an excellent scanner with a small footprint.

I use this to keep receipts and warranties on my computer. I have ditched pretty much every paper that comes into my house because I can just scan it. Super simple to use, even my 5 year old helps with scanning things. It is super tiny too. Makes up very little space and looks nice!

I use it for scanning documents, business cards and receipts. It helps me stay organized and cuts down on paper files in my home office. Great product!

My favorite thing was the size, it doesn't take up too much space on my desk. Set up for MAC users could have been a bit simpler but still wasn't too complicated. Its definitely a product I would recommend.

The most I’ve attempted to scan at one time was 8 pages so I’m not to sure how it does with larger jobs but what I have thrown at the device it’s done very well. One major con I’d say with this device is how it opens up you almost feel like your going to drop it trying to open it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect way to digitize your life Recently, I read about an awful house fire in a nearby town, and about how they lost everything. This made me realize that I have items around the house that are truly priceless and invaluable, and I wanted to make sure that, God forbid, were something to happen to my house or my family, we have a way to keep those items which for me are photos of family and friends. I decided that I was going to back up every picture and letter to the cloud, so I started the process of researching the best scanner for the job. Though it was a bit difficult to get set up to begin with, once I started, this scanner helped me have peace of mind with every item in my house. I also used the scanner to upload important documents from my recent refinance. I already feel so much better that everything I need is now available from anywhere. You can't really put a price on that.

The top opens to feed documents and closes with no issues or snags. Really happy with this purchase, highly recommend!

It was easy to set up and comes with easy to use preloaded software. It is small and compact but very powerful. I run a business and it saves me a lot of time scanning receipts and business cards. I can scan up to 20 pages at once. It even does doublesided. I have recommended this to all my business friends. It is a great asset to have.

The setup was super simple and we were scanning receipts and documents right away! It has an auto feeder and the picture quality on the desktop if perfect! It even scans plastic cards like gift cards & credit cards. You can simply unplug it and stick it in a drawer. Then when you need it again, it's plug-n-play.

So much easier than using the flat scanner on my printer. I am a case manager and see clients in their homes, and plan to bring this with me to scan paperwork when needed. It fits in my laptop bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Scanner and Easy to Use This is the best portable scanner I've ever used. There is no software to install, this is truly plug and play. There is even no need for an additional power outlet, it is powered by the USB connection to your computer. I've been able to scan up to 10 sheets at a time, and that is limited by the fact that I've only needed to scan a document of that size. You can use more by choosing to continue the scan to Scan More Documents, so you aren't limited by how many sheets fit in the tray. It has done well with standard as well as less common document sizes, and it scans both sides of the paper at once if you choose the option. The only issue I've found is the occasional double feed, but that is probably due to some wrinkling of the papers I'm using. Great scanner for business or personal, I've used it for both so far and have had great results.

I have scanned hundreds of documents and even ID cards with this machine and it works great. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and easy I received a free sample of this scanner to review and I'm so glad I was chosen to try this. I wish I had known something like this existed before. Firstly, I took it out of the box and plugged it into my computer (super easy) then a box popped up with the app and I was able to start scanning within seconds! My absolutely favorite feature is that it scans BOTH sides of the paper super-fast! I have to scan a lot of papers so this has made that process so much quicker! I can scan directly to an external hard drive and put a short cut. I LOVE this product. I homeschool my 3 older kids and each of them have a hard drive so scanning in their work and getting it to their hard drive took hours. Using the Canon scanner, it took less than a half an hour.

I love it because all the important thing I can just scan them and I’ll have them were I need them with no worries

The wireless aspect makes scanning very simple. The scanning quality is high. I've used other document scanners and they did not perform as well as this model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Device This is a great compact device for scanning documents and pictures. The device runs off your computers power so there's no need to have an additional cord to plug in. Once plugged in and opened, the device runs on it's own basically. You have to choose whether you want the device to scan it in color or black and white and where you want the pdf to be stored. It only saves as pdf's so if you would like another format, you have to find a way to convert it. One thing to note, you need to save your scans before you close the device. Otherwise, it won't save the scans. I have had a little trouble with the device catching the document sometimes and I have to apply pressure on the top of the document and then the scanner catches it. I also like that the device will immediately start scanning the next document after it finishes the first.

I have a job where I have to scan docs as soon as they are signed for refinances and this scanner allows me to do that as soon as I get in my car. It’s perfect and fits anywhere. I connect the scanner to my computer with the included cable 2. open the scanner door, it turn on by itself 3. Double Click on the itouch app that popped up on my computer 4. Raise the document guide 5. place paper in the scanner upside down 6. Select document type to be scanned on computer 7. click on scan and viola! 8. Confirmed scan document and then click on finish. 9. Save in whichever of the many format chose you have It’s really easy AND it actually scans both sides of the paper at the same time. It’s an automatic scanner so papers go thru on their own, the feeder holds as many as 20 sheets. This is true a time saver scanner. I am thinking I am gonna scan all my old pictures that aren’t digital plus down the road when I have extra time I can scan my important documents so I don’t need to keep tons of papers. It’s a small compact personal scanner so it doesn’t take up much space and can easily be taken in the go. Love it.

I was able to scan tax forms, kids old school projects, important papers, and get them all onto separate thumb drives to store all of our needed docs and memories without filling our home with boxes and boxes of paper. And it's great for sharing stuff with loves ones that live far away, just scan and email! This scanner is a must have!

I like how this scanner also doesn’t take up much room and is very portable. The only downside to it is I really wish I could use it with my iPad. It was definitely a good purchase.

Canon personal scanner works exactly how I need it, it is easy to setup, just connect the USB to your laptop and click the touch lite icon. Scan any document either color or black and white, one suggestion would be to make sure your documents don't have any folds to avoid jamming of paper.

My only disappointment is that it can't be used with my Chromebook (minus 1 star for compatibility). Fortunately, we also have a Windows computer in our household. The images scanned come out clear and easy to read. This worked really well when we had documents to sign and send to another state. Overall, very happy with the scanner.

When I decided to replace that printer with a small laser printer, I wanted something with a smaller footprint that the printer/copier. This scanner is small enough to put away in a drawer when it isn’t being used. It can easily plug and play, but the software to scan readable documents is a great addition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy setup, quality scans The setup is so easy. It took just 5 minutes from opening the package to plugging it into the computer using a USB cord which is included. No software to download. It turns on automatically when you open the lid. Nice not to have extra buttons to push. It scans both the front and back of the document at the same time and also has some editing tools if you need them, which I didn’t need to use. You can also do smaller items like photos and cards. Very happy with the quality of the scan and I’m planning on scanning all my old family photos so they will be safe in case of a fire. It came packaged very carefully and secure as you can see by the photo. I would love to see the option of using this without a computer and just storing the images on a flash drive.

I like that it scans both sides at once, and it didn't require any installation. Just plugged in and it worked. It works with lots of diff types of documents, and was able to read smooth greeting cards really well! I like that it doesn't take much space at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for quick scanning documents! Even in today's paperless world, it seems like we are having to constantly sign and scan documents. We have a Cannon All in One but it's not convenient to use for scanning. That's where this scanner comes in handy! Gone are the days of poor "phone scanned" documents. The double sided scanning feature works great and saves time. I didn't even have to hunt down the software, all that was required was plugging it into the computer and it just worked. In the perfect world everything would be digital and we wouldn't need to scan documents, but for now, this personal scanner will be a well used item in our house!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact, portable and perfect for household scanni I really like the portability and size of this scanner. The quality of the scanned documents is excellent given it’s size. Bonus points for double sided scanning, I can’t do that with my large scanner. This is perfect for household tasks. If you want to quickly scan receipts, recipies, bills etc to keep counters and desks clean and not loose little bits of paper all the time (that is me!!!), this is perfect! I’ve now used it to clean up the pile of paperwork that accumulates on the kitchen counter and the home office. Everything is safely filed on the computer. Handy and portable. I’d recommend it for a small household. The biggest drawback for me is that it’s not wireless. If it was and I could move it around the house more easily it would be a 5 star item. Overall though it makes household paperwork more manageable for me.

Its so easy to use, just plug up to your computer through USB cable and that's it! Does not need any software installed and works for Apple or Windows products. Its not heavy at all so its easy to carry to work or school. It also has an additional slot to scan cards. The digital scans can show up in color or black and white. Definitely a must have for those looking for a scanner thats easy to use or portable or that doesn't take up much space.

Hook up was relatively easy and the quality of the scans we really nice. I use this scanner to scan my kids drawings etc… so I can keep everything in the cloud without storing hundred of pieces of paper. This really works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it but has limitations Love it. Scans fast and both sides at once, if that is what you want. It is very portable and extremally easy to set up/install. However in Windows, the device is seen as a disk drive not a scanner. Cannot use PDF programs to scan, only the included program built into the scanner. The software is fairly robust, but naming files and putting files in folders is cumbersome since it has limitations. It would be nice if the program was able to use the Windows "Save As" capability that is consistent with all other Windows programs.

This scanned is very portable and takes up a small footprint. It connects via USB cable and is powered through that cable. It has modest scanning speed and can scan a wide range of documents. The 20 page feeder is added bonus as well. You really can't go wrong with this unit.

The quality is high on the scans and it worked quickly. I love it because it doesn’t take up much space and does a great job if I have several documents that need to be scanned. When I need to upload a document online I’m able to do so! It’s lightweight and doesn’t take up a lot of space. I can put it inside a drawer when I’m not using it. It’s great!

I plan to go through all of my files and create a searchable file! I can’t say enough how much this scanner is going to make my life easier with being able to find things. I hate looking for old tax returns or old copies of things- where with this Canon scanner, I can type a file name or year and it will be so much faster! I also love that it has a small reader too for cards/drivers licenses.

The scans are crisp and even scanned the other side of the document. How cool. The software is simple yet intuitive that making it easy to use. Works well with Windows 10 and 11 (have yet to test Windows 7). One of the best parts is that it is made in Japan. Had a scanner years ago that was from there and it was my favorite. This is definitely worth the price.

It is extremely easy to set up and use. I am not at all tech savvy and expected to have a few questions for my partner but I was able to do it all on my own. The quality of the scanned items is excellent. The scanning is quick, easy, and very efficient! This is a great product that you will love!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Didn't Do What It Promised I so wanted to leave a good review because this little Canon R10 scanner has so much going for it but yet it failed our office. We bought two for the office about two months ago - 5/2023. The good: both have great quality images, love that it automatically aligns a page to be straight. Love that you can add pages after the initial scanned documents, and love that you can reorganize the order of scanned pages within the software. The ease of use for the program is great, user friendly. Basically it's a great machine except for the following two issues: neither of the two machines will scan cards, which was one of the main reasons why we purchased this particular scanner. Tried drivers licenses, credit cards and benefit cards and none will pull through the scanner. The other issue is one of the scanners will not pull the first page through without forcefully pushing the top of the paper. Doesn't matter if it's a single page to scan or multiple pages, the first page always has to be pushed through. The other scanner has similar issues but happens far less often. Nothing in the troubleshooting section addresses these issue that I have found. Canon is such a good product but this feel short or maybe I got a lemon. ??

Photos, cards, full page documents and more. I felt as though it had great speed, especially at the lower resolution. It can also scan both sides of a document. The size is compact, doesn’t take up much room.

Simple plug in to computer wait for the download and your ready to scan. Front and back captured in one pass. The device is light weight so could easily travel with it if needed. I am using this to scan in tax documents and the quality of the scan is excellent next I need to pull out some photos and see how they look. The only issue was the setup didn't work on my chrome book but I may have some blocker on it. Once using my laptop things went so smooth. It took me longer to get the box open then it did to scan all 3 documents. I'm about to go scan crazy.

Portable, small, easy to pack.. and the feeder tray! Underrated.. 3. Doesn't need power, pulls from your device via USB and isn't a huge drain. 4. duplex scan (both sides!) 5. dedicated card slot - scan business cards, ID's, etc. WHY NOT? only one reason... micro USB could be an issue for users, you've been warned! Aside from that, love IT - just upgrade to usb-c and we'd ALL be happy :)

It’s practical to have all my important documents at my fingertips in a file on my computer. You literally just plug in, connect and scan. I never use my old bulky scanner anymore. I have also used this to scan personal artwork from my children and am able to upload them and transfer over to a crafting program I use. I highly recommend this Canon personal document scanner to all my friends and family. I had a family member go out and get one when they saw how simple this is. It’s very compact and lightweight which made it a perfect replacement for my old large scanner.

Setup is easy and I find it is very efficient at scanning with nice quality images after scanning. I love that it can be stored away until the next time it is needed versus a clunky larger scanner and that is portable if you need to scan while traveling.

My job requires that I visit patients at various different locations and this scanner make my life so much easier. It is so convenient, compact and fits in my computer bag. I use it to scan patient files and other important documents right into my computer and I can save them immediately. Being able to scan them right away means that I don't have to make copies and remember to get them back. It is so simple to use. You don't have to download any drivers. You simply plug it into your computer or laptop via the USB and a window pops up with 1, 2, 3 steps and its done. Absolutely amazing! This is a must have for anyone that works out in the field.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good scanner I really like how small and portable this scanner is. My standing desk is small so it is a huge plus that is works well without taking up much space. There isn't much to this, USB cable, scanner and instructions. It doesn't come with a case or bag which is strange for a "portable" scanner. The scanner turn on automatically once you flip the tray open. It goes into software update which was pretty quick but if it didn't do that it would open the folder in Windows. I scans quickly but does slow down if you put on the max best quality. Leaving it on automatic was more than enough for my needs, and my scans came out great. Love that this model is a double-sided scanner, no need to re-feed the sheets to scan the other side. It picks up multiple sheets well but at times it has trouble grabbing a singular sheet. I like the fact it scans both sides versus having to do the front then the back...time saver! I think this is a great option for portable scanner!

It connects right to your computer through the USB port which Carrie’s the data and power. No other wires needed. Plug it in and you are ready to scan. Works on a pc or a Mac but not on chrome books or other operating systems. No extra software is needed. The built in Canon software is pretty cool in that it can automatically align all the pages in a job in the same direction. There is an adjustable feeder that holds up to 20 pages. It supports business cards, plastic coated cards and paper up to legal size. One or two sided scanning is easy to use and quality is up to 600 DPI, which is the same as my multi-function printer. It does up to 12 ppm for black and white which is reasonable for such a portable unit. All in all this is an easy to use scanner which will satisfy personal users needs very well while being extremely portable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Portable It fits on the laptop bag so there is no need for and extra bag or holding it on the hand, fast scanning with really good images quality, the plastic parts are small and fragile so better handle with care, definitely not for kids use, I like the fact of the card scanning because is really easy and don't get trap in the rolling rolls like it will do on a regular one. Also I don like to download to may programs on my laptop so it is nice that you only need to connect them with the USB cable and absolutely like the fact that is double scanning on one!! Really nice product is worth the price

Unfortunately this isn't offered at all hotels or the office is locked when needed. This product has been a lifesaver for me. The on the go business person can really take advantage of this item with its light weight and functionality. Even for stationary, the scanner is perfect for home office because of its small size. Now let's talk about quality of results. Cannon's quality when it comes to scanners and printers is hands down the best in the market. Scanning a document was very easy, quick, and the quality of the document image came out precise. The speed was fast enough considering its size. If one wants to scan at lightning speeds, then a Cannon MF machine would be better, but this is tailored to accommodate small home office, portability, aven for a student. Packaging is excellent. easy to open yet Cannon did a great job to package the item where it did not need an outer box for transport.

The setup was pretty straightforward, and the device works well. I see how this will come in handy as some companies still use paper to do business. We are constantly scanning in important documents on the go, so it doesn't have to wait until we are in front of a computer. Its small and easy to carry. The only thing that would make this better, is if it also printed!

You just plug it in and load what you want to scan. It says it can scan up to 20 pages but I put 21 pages in at once and it scanned them all no issue into a pdf. I scanned a ton of paperwork and it performed flawlessly. It's really small and easy to store. It doesn't even need a power cable, just the USB. It feels pretty sturdy if your going to take it everywhere. The software is easy to use but the UI could use a modern looking upgrade. Otherwise this thing is fantastic!

It runs with a USB supply connected to the computer. 3. It integrates very well with the cannon scan software. 4. The resolution of the documents are very good, perfect for documenting kids artwork and essays, bills, receipts etc. 5. It packs really small and can be stored inside a normal office drawer. Cons: Photo scanning is not that great. Wish it could scan photos at a higher DPI. But this scanner is advertised to only scan documents. Overall, it is a really handy and easy to use document scanner.

The software needed for scanning is saved to the scanner itself which is recognized as a USB drive, so it is easy to open and use. There is nothing to install. When scanning a document, you have some customization you can make including deleting pages, rotating pages, and adjusting color and sizing. You can also save to any location on your computer and save in multiple format types and color or mono. It also scans both sides at once and can scan cards. This scanner is absolutely perfect for me and one I highly recommend.

I like being able to quickly scan documents I've been holding on to for that "just in case" moment. Scanning them and saving them to my online storage lets me get rid of the hard copies and clear up clutter in my house. The scanner is simple to set up and use. I like that the files are searchable. Much easier to find something this way than with stacks of paper!

I tried out the CanonUSA - imageFORMULA R10 Personal Document Scanner because my Mom got sick and she gave me all her paperwork and I mean boxes of them. I was able to scan them all to a file and burn the paperwork. It's so easy and convenient. I'm going to go through all my paper work soon. I highly recommend this scanner and would definitely buy again if need be.

It also orients it to the correct top and bottom without having to make any changes. It also straighten everything out even if you put it in crooked. The only complaint I have is that it would not work with my Chromebook. I did not call customer service to see if there was a workaround so in all fairness there may be a way to get it to work I just did not have time to pursue it. Once I hooked it up to a regular PC it was fast. That is the only reason for the four stars was that it wouldn’t work with the chrome book. Other than that I really like it

I've previously used the camera on my smartphone to capture images of receipts and other documents that I need to digitize. This works... ok. Often it's hard to get the right lighting and sometimes the images are skewed or blurry. I love the ease of scanning my receipts through the R10. I get excellent quality documents every single time I use it, without having to crop things or retake pictures. It really speeds up my workflow and takes a lot of hassle out tax season. Setup is super simple - You can just plug it into your computer via USB. It comes with software, but I didn't even install it. Windows 10 includes a scanner that works immediately without any additional configuration. I'm able to easily capture scan images and then "print" them to PDF files for archive. The feeder is incredibly handy too. I can simply place the stack of pages that I need to digitize on the feeder, start the scan, and they're all fed into automatically. Overall, I'm pumped about how much hassle this scanner has saved me!

What else can I say but WOW! This scanner is amazing, it’s compact lite weight design makes it super convenient to keep at home. Setup was a breeze, literally plug it into your computer and you’re ready to start scanning. I love the fact that it does black and white as well as color and also has duplexing capabilities. Another great feature is that you can save your scans in 6 different formats depending on your needs. So glad I purchased this thing, order has been restored in my house.

For someone like me who's running a business, this scanner definitely helps me and it's really needed! It's easy to use once you set it up, now I can easily scan my papers and make files on my laptop much easier!!

I was sent a free sample to use for this review and was curious if it would actually add convenience to my life. Working from home on my laptop, it's convenient to just grab it from my desk drawer, plug it in, and start scanning with a couple clicks. The software was simple to download on my mac with no hiccups. It's very user friendly. I love that it takes up hardly any space. It scans front and back, and gives you a few basic editing tools, although the scans are clear and I don't think they're really necessary. The card scanner is a nice feature. In theory, you could put it in a backpack to take it with you to a workspace or on a business trip, as it is that portable. However, nothing beats the portability of your phone, and there are many apps that allow you to scan documents with your smartphone camera. If you're scanning documents in high volume, you'll need to load them one by one. While it is a bit tedious, the actually scan speed is very quick for each page. I think its real value is in scan quality, especially for photos or anything that must be high-resolution. If you need a highly portable, quality image scanner, I can't really say anything negative about it.

It scanned the document quickly and the production was fairly clear. It was a big big for my taste so be sure you have the space for it if your considering buying it

I always love canon products and this one added to the list. I will definitely using it a lot to scan as it’s much easier than the one I have now!

Really needed it for just scanning in notes and pages to save as pdfs for work and I keep trying to use our large printer and I just wasn’t working well. Fast forward to getting this, would make that process so much faster. This is compact and powers on via USB cable cord meaning your connection to the computer to use and transfer is all it needs to work. It can do all docs in to make files, not needing a software makes set up fast and easy to use portably on the go. Love using this for a pop up for fast needs or a crowd of needs.

This portable scanner is small and light but a powerful performer, no drivers or software installation required, plug and play . Quick and effortless are the words that comes to mind: it scans a full page in seconds, certainly quicker than my laptop. I am extremely happy with this device I rate it highly, you cannot go wrong with this scanner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good I’ve only used it a couple of times, but so far it’s working great. I was using my iPhone to scan documents as our printer wasn’t capable of scanning. The iPhone is convenient, but I’d say more for one the go. This has helped a ton since I do scan documents often. It’s small and doesn’t take up much space at all so you can leave it out if you wanted, or it would be easy to store. It’s also very portable so you could take it with you if needed. You can scan a lot of different size documents as well which is great, and plastic cards. All said and done, I think this is well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great solution for small scanning tasks first of all - its a great product with signature Canon quality. build very solid and with good materials. 2 - its so easy to use any time a day and doesn't take too much space at all. we frequently scan some docs6 as well as some articles from newspaper for our blog and this personal document scanner is great find. I will even say that to save space at home this is great solution - simply put it to your desk and get it anytime you need it. set up takes seconds as well as use is so easy and peasant. highly recommend it. thank you Canon for the best devices for our family

However Canon does not update their drivers for older scanners so I was forced to buy the R10 scanner. Great product quality if you don't mind buying new hardware after every software update.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Use! Very happy with this scanner. I like how it is powered off the computer and doesn't need a separate power cable. I also like how it's just ready to go without going through a lot of steps to install software. For example, I had to email my sister a form- I was thinking it would take me 5 minutes to do- but I plugged in the scanner, scanned the 2-sided document in one pass- it went to my desktop, I then emailed it as an attachment- the whole process from grabbing the scanner, to hitting send, took maybe a minute. And the document was perfectly scanned! Not all wonky like taking a pic of both sides with a phone. So this thing is quick, easy, and just works well. Really happy with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this scanner This scanner is so cool. First of all it's so small and compact that it fits anywhere. Also, there is no separate power cord which is great since I'm already limited on space and power outlets. The unpacking and set up was literally less than 10 minutes. The scanner automatically connected as soon as I plugged it into my computer. I wasn't exactly sure where the software was, but as soon as I put a piece of paper in the software showed as a D drive. I performed a test scan and the quality was great and the scanner is super quiet. I know I will use this a lot! I doubt that I will leave this attached to my computer all the time, rather I will just attach it when I need it since it's so easy to attach. I am thrilled with this. It really couldn't be easier!!

I love that it takes up virtually no space on my desktop, but is still ready to go when I need it. The scans are great quality. I like that it connects with just a USB, which is super simple. Very convenient for a student or professional on the go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Scanner! The quality and size of this scanner are both very impressive! Scans are extremely clear, and setup is very easy. The scanner is powered by USB connection, and is super small and portable. Even with its compact size, it has lots of cleverly placed features such as expandable supports and guides for paper scans, and a card scanning feature. This is an excellent solution for scanning if space is limited, and great for mobile scanning (easily fits in a backpack or computer bag). Overall, I am quite happy with this scanner!

It's fantastic for use on the go or working in multiple locations. I am thrilled at what this little machine can do! I like that it has a 20 page feed and can scan both sides of whatever you need at the same time, and both in color and black and white. There is no installation to anything which makes things much simpler, with the software built right into the machine. It has a USB type of plug if you need to hook into a laptop of desktop. It has an actual tray as well instead of a feed to place your documents or cards and you scan them into any file format that is best for your needs. For it to be lightweight, it was built with quality in mind and is super durable. No components that will break easily or come apart when moving it from place to place. Having a printer with a feed has been impossible to use scanning card types for my business but this has been a lifesaver and a huge investment in my small business. For mobile jobs without a home base, this is exactly what you need!

All the documents I scan look so much better than when I was using my phone and it is much easier. You can scan all types of things easily. It is very lightweight and easy to carry around. By far the best portable scanner I have ever used. Well made and durable.

The scanner is a little over 11 inches long when closed, and weighs only a few pounds. You will receive the scanner, a USB cable, and setup guide in the box, along with warranty information. The personal document scanner was so easy to use! There is no software to download. I just attached the USB cable to the scanner and my Mac, opened the unit (which turns it on), and started using it. I first tried scanning the black and white warranty paper that came with the directions. Second scan, I used the setup guide as my sample. The CanonUSA imageFORMULA R10 Personal Document Scanner will scan the front and the back of your papers at one time, so no flipping is needed. Each scan that I did looked perfect, and took no time at all. I love that you can take this scanner anywhere. We will not only use this at home, but we have an RV and will take it with us to scan important documents on the road, in case anything was to get lost.

I find that it takes longer than I expected and the connection via bluetooth isn't the strongest. I think long term it's good if you need it, but not a fast turnaround. You can also just use your phone now to scan documents.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXCELLENT PRODUCT I received a free sample to try, Canon Image Formula R10 scanner to try and review. I absolutely LOVED this product and highly recommend it. It is small and compact (you could easily take it with you when traveling). It easily connects to your laptop. I didn't fully read the instructions, but figured out how to use it. It is fantastic for scanning photos and superfast. An example, I had scanned a 50-year old wedding photo on my HP scanner and the quality was not good enough to use on a product I was making. I scanned it on the Canon R10 and the quality was excellent and could use it. (I was making a blanket of photos for my husband for our 50th anniversary.) It scanned the photo within seconds. The photo (and other things I scanned) go right to your computer. It took me a little time to figure out where scan went and get that organized. This would be a fantastic product to scan all or your tax documents. Easy to make it in one file (or several). I love you don't need to download a program - plug it into laptop and it does everything. Although it comes with a QUICK Guide (and you can download the full instructions), my only suggestion would be to maybe make a QUICK step-by-step guide, with photos, showing exactly how to do various projects (with info how to set up to scan document settings, how to save in file, etc., and setting for scanning photos.) HIGHLY recommend this product! I honestly did not think I needed this product - but after using it, I realized that I did!

My new years resolution this year was to get more organized as my office is filled with so much paperwork. Scanner and software are both easy to use and I was up and running in just a few minutes. Love that the software automatically rotates the pages so they are all aligned and that it allows the files to be searchable. Even better is how small and compact it is so it can be stored easily when not in use. Great addition to any home office.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent This tiny scanner is very useful for scanning my bills, documents etc. The best part of I can directly connect the power cable to the usb output from my laptop and it work pretty well considering its size. The image quality is very good and easy to use, there is no need to install any software as when you connect it with laptop it prompt for the action to open the scanning software for you. The software part is also seamless and easy to use with multiple options. I tried scanning my license card but it did not go through it, so may be some soft cards you can scan with it. Overall loved this portable scanner.
