It's carefully designed to store, for example, an IP-over-Coax adapter to re-use legacy cabling or a network cable coupler bridge between rigid and flexible network cables. The sealed compartment is IP66/67 rated to withstand challenging outdoor conditions and makes the finished installation aesthetically pleasing.
