Nice for home office
I bought this when my Xerox WorkCentre 6515 died. It was a quick purchase with the help of someone at CDW and overall it has worked out well. My one issue was that it only came with a CD/DVD for instructions and my laptop (and many these days) no longer has a CD drive! I had to punt without help. Hence I still don't have fax/email set up. Grateful the rest was user friendly.

Excellent choice and price
Purchased a month ago. Initial set-up was pretty straight forward although there was a small problem getting the scanner to work. Called xerox and it was resolved within 30 minutes.

Replaced my older Colorcube 8900
Replaced my Colorcube 8900 MFP with this C315 MFP. I am very satisfied with this MFP. My experience with the XEROX MFPs has been very good. This is my fourth printer from XEROX. I chose to stay with XEROX specifically because of the econcierge maintenance program and was very disappointed when it was discontinued shortly after i purchased this MFP

Looks nice but there is where the good experience ends with this machine. There is a lengthy thread on Xerox support forums concerning the error codes and issues with the machine. You are told to call support and by all means if you have an hour of your life to waste go right ahead. If you make it that far they will tell you to update the firmware and send you a link to the firmware you already have. The mchine randomly locks up, freezes, reboots and gives you a BSOD with the error code 126.11A Service LVPS Error and depending on who you talk to can mean just about anything. It is the epitome of the copier from Office Space and will likely meet a similar fate. If you enjoy lighting $800.00 on fire, well this is the machine for you!

Spend more time troubleshooting than printing.
We bought this printer approx. 4 to 6 weeks ago. First issue: We spent at least two weeks, with multiple calls to Xerox support, before we could get it to print. Now we're trying to connect my laptop to the printer. Our desktop is already connected. We keep getting error messages and nothing prints that is sent from the laptop. Not at all user-friendly. Second issue: The print quality is inconsistent. Sometimes it's acceptable. Often it is fainter than the draft print quality on our previous printer. We do not have the Xerox printer set up as draft. This is totally inappropriate for professional work or even a letter to a friend.

Great For my Home Office and Quick High Quality!
I recently purchased the printer and got it mostly setup (still need to get the email setup) and it works flawlessly. I own a notary business and do a lot of printing and scanning and the printer is pretty fast. I love my new printer. I'm going to order the high capacity paper tray soon to complete my set up.

Sorry... the C315 just Didn't Work Properly
I bought this in mid-November, 2023, and the buying experience was great. My salesperson was very informative, and walked me through all the steps to purchase the right size printer. Unfortunately, it was not simple to install, event though I followed the instructions. After about 2.5 hours of frustration, I called the CDW Support Line and the next day, I had 1 hour of professional assistance, including a remote session of the CDW professional controlling my computer. Neither of us could get the printer to print black. The other 3 colors would print, but no black. So, I had no choice but to send it back. I'm very frustrated with my experience.

Takes up a lot of space
I bought this printer to gain color and double sided printing capacity, replacing a Xerox printer without these features, though it served me well. This printer is bulky and the paper output is inconveniently located in the back, out of reach. It was not "plug and play" ready, required configuration that the Xerox software doesn't really help with and I still can't figure out how to print a "start page" that was required if I was going to get the Loyalty discount, which was limited insofar as submission was required. I think there are other brands in this price range that deserve your attention.

Prints quickly and the quality is great.
I’ve had this printer for a little over a month and it does a great job printing. Very quick, very good quality in both text and images. Sure wish it had come with an owners manual. It’s available on line but quite difficult to locate. I’m still struggling with printing legal size documents. Wish there was better documentation for this.

So much for loyalty
The set up process is fairly complicated, particularly if you're linking the printed to your in home network (I prefer to hardwire it to my router rather than leave it as a stand alone on WiFi), and the Xerox print App is plainly awful, and I cannot get support to save my life. Online references are all but useless. For example, I had to figure out how to print a facesheet on my new Xerox printer to submit with one from my prior Xerox printer to get the 10% loyalty discount. But every reference to printing it on the new printer didn't work. There appears to be no straight forward way to accomplish this task. So next time I'll be looking for a different manufacturer.

Terrible machine... don't purchase.!!!
I bought two C315 machines to replace the two 6515's that I had that finally broke down. the first C315 would not print at all and made terrible cracking sounds when turned on. The second machine worked fine for a week and then started making cracking sounds so loud although still kind of prints.

After the 2nd day our C315 STOPPED working!
Sadly, Xerox has produced a printer that sounds great, looks good and print quality is good if it will print. Just make sure you research online the 126.11A Error Code for C315 Xerox Printer and review the remarks of customers. Xerox has decided to mark the price down and sell the C315 despite repeated 126.11A Errors that it just STOPS functioning. Prior to retiring we have owned several Xerox lasers both B/W and color printers for our business, i.e., large, multi-function, multi-sorters, like those used in copier stores that were far more expensive. Prior to purchasing we wish we had known about the 126.11A Error that causes the printer to just STOP. You can unplug, wait a bit, go thru the time consuming resetting process and attempt starting it again for a few prints if you are lucky, but it STOPS repeatedly again and again when it goes to idle mode or “rest.” After only a few days we made less than 250 prints/copies with many of those tests to get it working over and over. Additionally, the scanning function is time consuming and challenging to use with iPads and iPhones. There is nothing in the advertisement that indicates to scan any document these Apple products are not compatible without going thru time consuming procedures using a special USB flash drive or a compatible device inserted into your iPad, or iPhone for each scan. If you decide to purchase a C315 anyway, make sure you save all the boxing or you won’t be able to return a broken machine and there are time limits. The C315 is not shipped by Xerox, apparently sales and shipping are contracted out to a subcontractor although the box is marked XEROX. (I rated the speed very low because it was not functioning most of the time.)

printing on cardstock
I bought this to use as part of my crafting hobby. I have tried printing on cardstock and it has jammed every time, wasting card and ink. My husband and I have read as much information as we can but cannot solve the issue. Any advice would be much appreciated

Where is the mobile app to work on Ipad and iphone away from home and printing to be ready when you get there. There might be one but I could find one and I wasn't even allowed to register my printer - the company I bought from had to reister it for me - that is crazy.

I am fully satisfied with this printer. I got it to replace my older Xerox solid ink printer. Although the print on this one is just fine, it is no way as brilliant as the color print on the solid ink printer.

Works well even for a computer illiterate
So far, I am happy with this printer. Some people said it was hard to set up, but other than having to locate videos to watch to figure it out, it was not that bad. I know very little about technology and I am struggling to make things work right, so the fact that I got this up and running is amazing to me. I have not tried all the functions yet, but everything I have used so far has worked and been good. I book marked the videos and downloaded the manual. It has all kinds of information, so if I get stuck, I can look it all up and watch a video.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this printer to replace my Xerox WorkCentre 6515 printer that was out of warranty. This new Xerox C315 is a good upgrade. It has all of the features of the older printer and some new ones. It appears to print faster but still has the delay to start as the old printer did. Great customer service both from Xerox and CDW.

I have 2 of these they are great printers I wish the paper tray was bigger and the paper that has printer came out of the front not the back for space and wish the software was easier to set up scan to email but overall it’s great for the price

The Superhero of Printers
I’ll admit, we were a little skeptical at first. Surely such a feature rich multifunction printer wouldn’t be able to do everything, and do it well? Crisp high resolution laser prints? In full color? Photocopy and paper scanning? Well, the answer is a resounding YES! Not to forget the awesome control panel and OS that’s a breeze to operate and setup. No network issues. No fumbling with how to access all its many features. It just works. And it’s fast! We love this new member of our small team.

Smart looking but not easy to use
It has been a couple of months since I purchased this printer. I am disappointed that many features are difficult to use. The on-line manual is not clear and the Xerox service is terrible now since the staff issues a ticket and calls you back within 48 hours. One can no longer get help when need it. In a few months, after all issues are resolved, the printer will perform smoothly.

RUN, do not walk, away from this printer.
What a HUGE waste of money and time. Has NEVER worked correctly, EVER. Attempted to set up with my 5G network, never worked, went back to 4G network. Please, Xerox, don't refer me to your support pages, they don't help. How about a phone number to provide support????? Would love to return it.

Absolutely useless! Don't Buy
Bought this printer less than 2 months ago. After 3 weeks the control touch pad failed so we were given a replacement printer as it couldn't be repaired. 3 weeks later it's not working again due to error messages on the printer cartridges, first the cyan and now the black. We are now without a printer in our busy office and still waiting for an engineer to repair. Absolute piece of junk!

Gas Guzzler of Laser Printers
The printer itself performs great... but at a cost? I bought the Genuine Xerox High Capacity toners (8k prints) from Amazon and having only printed about 2k prints of normal text only documents, how did my toner supplies magically go down to 40%. I thought that I had a lemon, so I decided to return the toner to Amazon and just reorder the same one. Printed another set of prints, I'm at 3k total prints now, and I see that my replacement toner sunk down to 60% capacity. Unreal. I can't see myself recommending unit to anyone as I did previously with older models like the WC6515 which is a work horse.

I love the device. My only concern is that you are blocking my using generic cartriges in favor of your brank name at four times the price. My company is a high volume user. I do believe that the US government passed some law that you must allow generics.

Great quality prints- not many options
I decided to take out the wallet and purchase a color laser printer. I have a Brother MFC inkjet that can print and scan tabloid, and the printer is awesome, EXCEPT that when you are not printing color (or B & W) every day, the cartridges dry up and have to be thrown out. So I decided to go color laser. I purchased thisprinter from Dell because I had a lot of Dell rewards point. It was approximately $800. Due to its not being able to print (or scan) tabloid (11X17) I was hesitant. One two months after purchasing the printer, Xerox lowered the price $300. That burned. Something else happened at about the same time. The Magenta cartridge needed replacement. It turns out that Xerox send the printer with just enough toner to print about 1,000 pages. That's it. But what really burns is I went to order a set of high capacity cartridges from Xerox, for the incredible price of just over $850. So, not only did I lose out on the $300 price adjustment, it now costs moremore for toner than the printer is worth. It's a shame because the quality is really good. But if have to spend over $850 everytime I need toner, this is not for me or anyone else.

Simple Little Machine
We are using the Xerox C315 in a fast-paced office situation. It was a simple machine to get installed and onto our network. We were emailing copies in minutes! It prints quickly so we do not have to wait for it, the Image is sharp and the blacks are dark! It's been an excellent addition to our workflow.

The C315 beats the competition!
Reviews I read gave me pause, but in my research, I found the C315 met or exceeded the competition feature for feature. The price was lower and consumable prices were competitive. I bought the C315 and have never looked back. Setup, install was easy. I got right on my network and then used TightVNC to fine tune the configuration from my computer desktop. Print and scan quality have been very good. The "Xerox Print and Scan Experience" software makes operating the C315 a pleasure. So far, I feel I bought the best MFP in the C315 price, and price plus, range.

First time impression.
This is my first Xerox printer. I have always used other brands but this one. I may say that the initial set up was very easy and was up and running pretty quickly. On the second week, the first print of the day it gave me error code: Service "LVP Error" and a whole bunch of hexadecimals error code lines. After I rebooted my computer and printer the problem went away and has been working fine since; however, I am just on edge to see when it will die on me. I also noticed that it is slower than my previous printer to print after you hit "Print". I guess time will tell...first impressions are everything.

GREAT scanning, networking less reliable
I really do love my Xerox C315, but it regularly forgets its network settings. In my office, this is easily setup again, but would be problematic in more complex office settings. The scanning and copying really is amazing - it will do what large xerox machines will do, but in a size and cost that fits my business well!

Perfect For a Small Office
We have had the printer for about nine months and it has printed, scanned, and copied just fine for our small office. However, the ink cartridges seem to print less than advertised and are too expensive. We have already spent much more on the ink than the price paid for the printer.

Absolutely TERRIBLE Printers. Was recommended by our Dell business rep and have had nothing but issues out of both. Paper tray errors, power supply issues, can’t get the smtp for scan to email to work, won’t scan to a Mac, pdfs are super slow to print. Avoid at all costs.

I knew I'd want to use it for printing, scan to email and copying. I was intimidated with the thought of having to get it to connect to my wifi, installing the print driver to my laptop, and setting up scan to email. I had an IT friend on standby in case I couldn't do it and did not need him!! Out of the box set up was a breeze thanks to the Xerox Easy Assist App I downloaded to my phone. My child needed to print something and I wasn't home so I instructed her to download the Apple AirPrint app and to give it a try and she did so without having to call me back for further instruction. Color is surprisingly crisp for such a small machine. User interface is responsive and easy to use. I've also successfully printed some envelopes and labels from the bypass tray. Our family loves this Xerox C315 Multifunction Color Printer.

Amazing multifunction printer
I've had the Xerox c315 for several months and it is an amazing multifunction printer. Most importantly, it works every time I need it. The print and scan qualities are impressive. And it connects almost instantly with my phone, computer, and tablet when needed for printing. Great product and I highly recommend for your office and home office needs.

Excellent Product Pretty Fast and efficient
Since many years ago We’ve been trying in our busy many different brands trying to get the best Printer out there. We have a Try to XEROX since this brand is a prestigious one, and Specifically this one is the best ever. Great quality, pretty fast and it’s size is very convenient. Nice little device that does everything you need.
The first thing that strikes me is how heavy this printer is. A similar sized device from the big box stores would be half the weight....which in my mind means its built to last and be simply thrown away after a year of use. As far as functionality goes it does everything you need for a small office or personal multifunction device.

Good Home Printer
The Xerox C315 is a good printer. It was fairly easy to set up and prints quickly. I am not too pleased with the quality of the color printing. It does not appear to be vivid or sharp for a laser printer. Also prints easily and quickly from cell phone I have a Xerox Phaser MFP 6180 which is fabulous. and a great office printer, but unfortunately it is not compatible with new computer, so I purchased the C315. I like the Xerox products.

C315 does not disappoint!
I did a ton of research before committing to the purchase of a laser printer. The C315 met my "must have" features (such as: wi-fi; 2-sided print; hi-res scanning), AND ALSO met 90% of my "awesome-to-have" features (such as: AirPrint; a scanning feed tray; 2-sided scan; scan-to-email). Set up was a breeze, thanks to Xerox's instructional video online. I have been using it for awhile now, and it has yet to disappoint me! I can print from any device in my household (which includes PCs, MacBooks, iPads, and mobiles). Print-outs have been quick, quiet, and crisp. My only regret is that I didn't purchase it sooner!

Very Reliable
I bought this printer a month ago and it works excellent. I have two other of the older models. This one is by far my favorite. Also customer service reps who sold me. This is very helpful and so is the technical support are very helpful.

Xerox service wins the day!!!
I purchased two C315 printers. The first one didn't work from the start but after great communication with Xerox service department it was replaced promptly and now both machines are working great! The Xerox service is truly exceptional and appreciated as I live on a small Island in Hawaii with no service folks to look to for help.

Easy Setup and Excellent quality
The setup of the printer was easy and the quality of the print is excellent. Access via WiFi makes printing a breeze. This is our first laser printer and are very pleased with the quality of print.

Nice Upgrade
I bought this printer to replace my Xerox WorkCentre 6515 printer that was out of warranty. This new Xerox C315 is a good upgrade. It has all of the features of the older printer and some new ones. It appears to print faster but still has the delay to start as the old printer did. Great customer service both from Xerox and CDW.

We have 4 car dealerships and this machine allows my husband and I to work from home. The C315 performs all the duties needed for us to do business and stay in contact with our employees and customers. It is also a user friendly product.

Bought it expecting Xerox econcierge progran
I bought it understanding I would have the Xerox econcierge program on it, but soon after i bought it I was informed by Xerox the program would no longer be available for it. Huge disappointment for me with Xerox. Huge disappointment and I lost confidence in Xerox

Very Happy with this Printer
I bought this printer back in Nov 22 so I have had it now over a year. No issues at all. It is a real work horse! Prints fast, easy to scan documents (either on tray or auto feed). Ink refills are not cheap but then not many are for quality printers. I would definitely recommend!

I really like my new Xerox C315 with one exception - the output of the printer is on the back side. My old printer output in the front and it was so convenient for me to just turn in my chair and retrieve my copies. I need to stand up from my chair to remove the copies on this one. Yes, I probably need the exercise of getting up and down but the front output is so much more convenient. This is my reason for a 4 star overall rating and a 3 star of ease of use.
