Reliable and Effective Product
I use this product to direct connect to FAA equipment utilizing an Ethernet connection to my work laptop (MDT), which has its own Ethernet port, however it is poorly placed and has connectivity issues. This solved the problem perfectly.

If you plug this into your computer and it doesn't start installation automatically, go to the website and download the driver.

Having bought an HP Omen, I found myself without a lan connection. repressed as I am, I embarked in the task of finding the best USB LAN adapter. 50 million reviews and articles later I was convinced that the Triplite was the one. Drivers not available online
I purchased this device to use with a Surface Pro. Because it has a USB 3.0 port, I wanted a USB 3.0 device.
Problem number one was getting it installed. The drivers are not available on Tripp Lite's website. It comes with a driver CD, but the Surface doesn't have a CD drive. I do have an external CD drive, so was able to get the drivers installed.
Working in IT, I generally use my machines to test things. I've had a great amount of difficulty when trying to test network jacks in people office in determining if my issue is a bad jack or if the USB Ethernet adapter just decided not to work.
My last straw was today after I reset my device. I have to reinstall the drivers in order to use this device, but I have no idea at this moment where my driver CD is. And, for reasons I don't understand, I can't just download them from Tripp Lite's site.

Just works!
Used to connect a linux laptop to a linux desktop to share files. Worked just fine - just the normal network config on the software side to get a direct connection working.

This product has been so helpful since school went online due to the pandemic. I study music and a good internet connection is essential for enabling my professor to hear a clear sound while I am playing so that she can give me feedback and corrections. This product allows me to connect an ethernet cable to my Macbook.

Quality and consistent reliability networking
I got the U336-000-R USB NIC and it just worked perfectly on the network out of the box and no additional drivers even a year later. As with other Triplite products that I have purchased throughout my many years in the IT industry, I have never been disappointed with the quality and consistent dependibility Triplite delivers.
