Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better be super tech-smart to set up; instruction fall short I plugged it in and plugged desktop into it. There are no instructions and the registration process was incomprehensible and defeated me. I am simply trusting it to work, although I doubt it will actually turn off the PC after saving everything if the power goes out since I couldn't understand the online instructions for setting it up. Luckily, the set-up instructions and registration defeated my tech support guy, too, but he likes the features so bought one for himself. He will be back to set up mine when he figures it out for himself. Bottom line, probably a really good product but with really bad set-up and registration instructions. Company should hire someone proficient in non-tech, regular guy English. Use of specialist language doesn't work.

Tripp-Lite should have reached out to a reseller to provide a replacement if they were waiting for a shipment from their supplier of batteries.

It has 5 regulated outlets and 5 protection only outlets which is all I need. I bought this in order to smooth out the power if I have to use my gas powered generator. I have not had to use it so I don't know how it will do in that respect. The unit is compact and fits nicely between my computer and printer stand. Shipping was fast and the unit was well packaged and protected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just bought my second unit - that should tell you everything Although this product was first available back in 2014, it remains a real workhorse. I'm just starting year three on my first unit and just received my second. I needed a UPS to power my Starlink during outages so that my remote power and water sensors could alert me to problems when I'm away. A bit of overkill for sure but it can also act as a backup for unit one if necessary. I've verified that my Starlink system works with the simulated sine wave output with no problems - at least in the short term. Unit one has been running up to three computers, a monitor, and two external backup drives for two years with no problems. Run time with two systems at low draw (On with a browser window open, etc.) seems to be about 20 minutes which surprised me. YMMV. The plug spacing is good allowing for a wall-wart or two on both battery and surge-only rails. This is a good, well constructed, heavy as to be expected, unit with a well-known history of quality. A great choice.

After hours of online research I bought two because the price and features blew everybody else away that was charging a lot more. On one I have connected a WiFI router, Eero extender, alarm box with a surge protector and many switches to keep my internet going during outages. On the other, I have two monitor displays, an expensive Dell XPS 17 laptop, a wall mounted TV, and a Laser. Everything on battery back. This product is does not only offer surge protection, but also interactively monitors its performance and prevents line voltage fluctuations and voltage drops - and it comes with the 6 battery backed up outlets vs the similarly 3 or 4 outlets on similarly priced products that are not even interactive. Great features and warranty and support for a lot less money.

I've already had a couple times where I've lost power in the house, and the switch to battery is seamless while I was using the computers. Only issue is difficulty setting it up to communicate with my FreeNAS machine via the USB connection; not really that big of a deal for me with my use case, but I might be more critical for other people.

We have a generator that will auto switch when there is a power outage, but we still need a good UPS to take care of the time the generator takes to start or any brownouts/blips that aren't long enough to trigger the switch-over. The Tripp Lite is great! Small to fit under my desk, has enough plugs and the multiple power adapter spaced plugs are a fantastic feature!

Bought this UPS unit to use a backup power for my internet service so I am able to watch tv and use the internet during power outages. The last power outages lasted for 35 minutes, and I was able to use the internet uninterrupted while I was involved in a Zoom Meeting. If you watch internet tv this is a must have item.

The Tripp-lite battery backup and surge protector is well worth the investment to protect my other electronic investments from unforeseen surge mishaps. The wall mount keeps it up against the wall with very easy access to all the plugs.

The backup unit went into the battery mode and we watched TV for 45 minutes. After power was restored, everything worked. Overnight the unit failed but the Surge suppressor still worked. I used this till I got a second unit of the same model.

The big advantage of the Tripp Lite products over the APC units, is their ability to function flawlessly during our frequent power outages when my system kicks over to backup generator power.

I rarely now go on battery but know my voltage fluctuated by other appliances and TV dropping out. AVR is worth it,

Only issue I have is either make it so that some of the plug ports can rotate or space a couple of plug ports wider. Manufactures nowadays have large plugs for their electrical items.

Mountaintop locations of communications equipment, mine protected by Isobars. In all cases of lightning strikes entering the buildings via the AC line, the Isobars did their job in protecting my equipment, while surrounding equipment got fried. This happened on many occasions. I just purchased a TrippLite UPS, and I'm sure the reliability and quality will be there with this product as well. I wanted to buy three units, but the store had but one. ... Quality products that you can sense when removing from the box.

Just hours after I installed it, there was a brief power outage which I only knew about because the lights went out for a half second. None of my equipment missed a beat and I successfully continued working through the vent before I even realized it had happened

We all may take it for granted that the voltage in our homes is constant but all you have to do is use a voltmeter in your house hold plugs to see the variability through out the day. If you have any hi-tech equipment at home such as TV's, receivers, or DVR's you know the importance. I would for sure buy this product again and recommend it to friends

I asked a tech support agent if he could compare the unit to a competitive unit i was considering. He answered all of my questions and never talked negatively about the competitor. I also like the fact that TL clearly states on product page the TL model number of the replacement battery. I did slide the battery out of the unit and put it back in immediately without disconnection. The battery itself is not made by TL, so it also has a model number - very convenient for shopping for a replacement. Charging the unit right now for a few hours before first use.

The second one was hit by run-through lightning but it saved everything that was attached to it! We also have a couple of Tripp-Lite multi plug/surge protectors. We definitely recommend the Tripp-Lite brand for your UPS and surge protection needs!

I reported the issue to Tripp-Lite and they could not have been more professional. After trying a few things they suggested without success, they sent a new replacement that works great. I do not think we have had a power surge or outage since we purchased the UPS, so I cannot tell if it works. Did not give it five stars because I could not get the shutdown software to work with my desktop because we are still running Windows XP.

This UPS fit easily in the same space as the previous unit except for the USB side connection. It would have fit better if the USB connection was on the end. My UPS protects a laptop and associated items. A second item of concern is the close spacing of plug-in positions. Some protected equipment have larger plugs overlapping neighbor plug positions. I purchased separately 6 inch extension cords to facilitate the larger plugs. I have not been able to activate any software to communicate with the UPS. Instructions suggest the unit works fine without communication. I have only had the unit for a few weeks so no outage or system fluctuations to test it yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A real life saver for someone in my line of work I use my computer to remotely manage IT infrastructure for other companies and three days in a row we had electrical storms that caused us to lose power for up to a few minutes. I ordered this Line-Interactive UPS and installed it and since have continued working twice during brief storm-related power outages. I've always used TrippLite surge protection but this gives me even more protection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would by another one if I needed a second one. I have not had my Tripp-Lite UPS very long, but so far I like it. I use it as protection for my computer and other equipment. We get frequent blackouts, brownouts etc here. It seems like a sturdy quality product so far. I also use the power alert console along with it. It works very well, it is a java program so a little differant than a windows program, in the end probably makes it better though. The power alert console is great but manual could be a bit more detailed. A person without a lot of computer experience might have some difficulties with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Would Buy This Unit Again and Again! I bought the Tripp-Lite 750VA 450W Line-Interactive UPS. It is absolutely a 5 star unit. Installation was a breeze. I even installed the online software to manage my unit. From the moment I commented my PC to the Tripp-Lite and switched it on, I have felt totally secure from power outages and surges which happen in my location far more often than one might imagine. Absolutely 5 stars!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for wifi, not for jacuzzis. Electricity is confusing! What model to buy! How long will it last? Can I use this to keep my jacuzzi running? (No.) This is a great model for keeping your internet running a good while if the power is out. Or you computer for a shorter while. Or your TV for...wait, nobody needs a UPS for their home TV. Read the manual to make sure you don't overload the battery and you will be fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again I actually purchased this 2 years ago, but for some reason my registration did not appear. I had an issue with it and discovered I had another year to go on the warranty which was great. I didn't need to buy another if support could help me out. I contacted them and in just a few minutes they had me up and running! Just to let you know, we think lightning struck my satellite dish for my Internet. It damaged the modem and radio. The Internet company fixed it and I believe that damage was causing an issue with my UPS. However, my more important new computer and other peripherals were fine.
