The desktop B004-DP2UA2-K 2-Port DisplayPort 1.2 KVM Switch lets you access, control, boot and reboot two 4K DisplayPort computers using one DisplayPort monitor, keyboard and mouse. Switching between computers is quick and simple using a connected remote port selector, keyboard hotkeys or mouse scroll wheel. The B004-DP2UA2-K supports Multi-Stream Transport (MST), so you can use multiple monitors via one DisplayPort connector.

By adding a powered USB 2.0 hub (sold separately) to the switch, you increase functionality by allowing USB peripherals - such as printers, hard drives, scanners, webcams and thumb drives - to be shared between computers. You can also plug microphones and speakers into the 3.5 mm mini-stereo jacks. Because audio and the B004-DP2UA2-K can be switched independently of each other, you can access one computer while listening to audio on the other.

All necessary cables are included. The B004-DP2UA2-K supports Ultra High Definition (UHD) video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) at 60 Hz, 2.1-channel surround sound, HD Audio, EDID and HDCP. All connected computers receive the console monitor's EDID information to ensure top video quality.

The B004-DP2UA2-K is easy to set up with no software or drivers to install. It supports Windows, Mac, Linux and Sun. It also supports DisplayPort Dual Mode (DP++) for directly outputting single-link DVI or HDMI signals via adapter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This KVM switch works well, happy with it. Recently purchased a Tripp LIte KVM switch, 2 port displayport 1.2, B004-DP2UA2-k. This was easy to install, but I had made a mistake without reading the entire instructions. I installed the KVM switch, using a HP Omen Obelisk desktop, and an Asus windows 7 desktop, and a samsung 27inch curved monitor. Upon hooking up the switch and the monitor and the two PC's, I started both computers and was not able to get the mouse or keyboard to work, contacted Tripp lite and the young lady asked me to shut down and install one computer at a time, at which time I shut down and removed all power plugs and started one pc at a time, and then it appeared to work perfectly switching back and forth and the keyboard and mouse worked fine.My only problem is if the ASUS windows 7 goes to sleep, I am not able to wake it up, have worked on this but not able to resolve the issue. I have learned to work around that issue, and I am very happy with the KVM switch that I purchased. I am very happy that I made this purchase for this switch, my wife is happy with it so my life is a lot easier. Thank you Robert Smith

Rated 5 out of 5 by from hmm still deciding, will see what support has to say so far ok, but setup was not straightforward or easy. the setup steps are pretty involved for a seemingly "plug-n-play" product. one thing that is not clear is what version of firmware it currently has, instructions mention how to update but before trying it i think it makes sense to be able to check somewhere/somehow the current version. one other thing of note which i will be contacting support about: the media keys on my standard Dell wired keyboard do not work with this product, although it says media keys are natively supported. this is an issue with my machine as i routinely need to pause and change volume on my audio sources. will see what support can do.
