works great in gigabit network...
I purchased this TX / RX pair to provide a video based demo for a new gigabit networked product I am developing. Connected up to an optical gigabit network through media converters, ran HDMI video out from smartphone and display the video at a remote location possible 30 miles away. This product did the job for me with no problems... worth the investment.

Works over an RF link - requires 80 Mbps
We operate a church broadcast system and needed to transmit the audio and video across a 1600' RF link. The radios show variable download bandwidth between 30 and 80 Mbps. We have experienced excellent reception with no video or audio drops or freezing.

Great multi-mission IP video multicast solution
This is a ( very late ) update to last year's review.
In Jan 2022 , I used multiple ST12MHDLAN units to distribute (scoreboard and presentation ) video for a large gymnastics meet ( in a large convention center )
The ST12MHDLAN units worked perfectly at the event just like they did in my test "lab".
see previous review for more details
Note: I recommend using HDMI cables that have "slim" connector bodies. HDMI Cables with "fat" connector bodies will not seat perfectly ( and can be knocked loose easily ) due to the placement of a screw on the chassis of the ST12MHDLAN.

Great multi-mission IP video multicast solution
I will be using multiple ST12MHDLAN units to distribute video for a large gymnastics meet. The ST12MHDLAN units will have 2 roles: role 1. Distribute video based scoreboard streams from 3 scoring computers ( running ProScore v5 ) to 3 projector based "scoreboards" ( in this mode each TX-RX pair operates independently 1-to-1 ) role 2. At the start of each session , distribute a video based presentation to all 3 projectors. (in this mode 1 TX unit streams ( multi-cast ) to 3 RX units 1-to-3 ) Switching between the 2 roles is done via a simple StarTech Chrome app. (a few mouse clicks) Combined with NetGear S350 smart-switches ( which have VLAN and IGMP support), the ST12MHDLAN will allow me to distribute both video data and score input data over a single LAN ( single set of cables). In previous years I had a scoring "data" LAN and a separate analog ( VGA extender based) video distribution setup. The new solution will greatly reduce the amount of cabling and the amount of work needed to tape down cabling. I have performed extensive testing .... solution works great in my "test lab" ... and is ready for "production". ( The meet is in January ... I will try to remember to update this review after the meet )
