The ST7300USB3B USB 3.0 hub lets you add seven external USB 3.0 ports to a computer from a single USB 3.0 host connection. Offering data transfer rates up to 5 Gbps, the USB hub meets SuperSpeed USB 3.0 specifications and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.x devices. Very nice hub!
I bought this for my USB needs on my telescope. 6 devices need access all at once and one device needs to talk to and monitor other devices and this hub allows me to do that! Thanks StarTech!

Fixed my problems
I was having a problem with some of my equipment dropping out on my Telescope Imaging System. Particularly my CCD camera.
By installing this StarTech hub, 90% of the problem was solved.
It was recommended to me by a friend who also uses them for his set-up.

Keeps dying on me
This hub was fine for weeks but now it keeps dying on me. Once a day the connection to it basically resets. Quite annoying. Startech gets 2 stars instead of 1 for allowing reviews on their site.

Does not work with MIDI devices
You can put a hard drive in fine. But apparently, it's picky about what devices it passes, even with the power supply.

Extremely low power
The included power adapter is useless. Could not provide enough power to charge an iPhone or Android. Works great otherwise, just don't expect it to offload your computer/docking station's power.

Fantastic performance, reliability and quality
I bought this USB hub because my Dell XPS 15 9510 computer and connected Dell DA310 hub were limited on the number of USB A connectors. I have had many problems with non Dell hubs so I was wary.
The speed performance I obtained with San Disk keys and Seagate drives was great, in the 100 to 300 Mbs range no problem. The little blue LEDs which only light up when a USB key is connected and active are really useful. The quality of the product is excellent.
So when my Logitech mouse started lagging and my Logitech keyboard started missing/repeating characters I was very disappointed - these are problems I had already experienced with non Dell hubs. But the I found the solution! The Logitech unifying receiver was plugged into the second Dell DA310 USB A connector, I moved the unifying receiver into port 1 of the StarTech hub and bingo all was solved. No more mouse lag, no more keyboard errors, even when simultaneously coping multiple Gigabyte files between a San Disk key and two Seagate USB drives. Thank you StarTech, my review is definitely 5 star for this superb product.
