Without the sound bar the sound is low, maybe because it is in a entertainment center, maybe because speakers are in the back. But, no matter it’s sound is not good. Rated 5 out of 5 by from 65 inch Q80R QLED TV Is Amazing This TV has the best picture and sound quality of any TV I've ever owned. Colors are vivid and has a nice bright screen. The picture stays clear even at wide viewing angles. TV screen glare from lights is very low. I love all the smart features. The universal guide, is so handy. I enjoy being able to quickly see what's on all our available channels. The ambient mode is very calming. The extra channels included with Samsung TV Plus was an unexpected surprise. I even like how fast the TV turns on since I'm a little impatient. The sound has lots of bass, unlike a lot of TV's. It sounds as if there's a small subwoofer somehow built in. Switching from cable to streaming apps like Hulu and Netflix is quick. Setting up the TV is simple. The TV automatically knew what all the devices were that I connected.. However, because any kind of artificial intelligence is a burden to technology, I'm thankful that this TV allows viewers to turn off such features. This TV works wonderfully all on its own with all the technologically smart features that Samsung provides without using artificial intelligence! The lighting is awesome, and the color is fantastic. Also, the high-definition adjustments can even make the picture look 3- dimensional. This TV does contain artificial intelligence, however, and I do wish that it did not. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Pictures and Features Wow, I can't say enough about how great this TV is. I didn't think that there was much more room for improvement to TVs. I thought that the TV industry peaked and there was no longer a reason to upgrade. The Samsung QLED Q80 has changed my mind. First off, the picture is absolutely stunning. I compared this set next to my 2 year old TV and it was not even close. The Samsung QLED Q80 had a far better picture, color, and sharpness. Even my wife, who doesn't pay attention to technology, noticed an immediate difference. She was so excited that we sat down and had movie night. The colors make the picture jump off the screen and the Q80 can do it with any lighting condition in the room (bright sun light or at night). The second thing I love about the Q80 is all the extras it has. I love ambient mode and having it blend into the background, or show our photos on screen It is a great way to use the Q80 when not watching TV. I have use the Q80 to control my smart home with the built-in smartthings access. It is great, I can turn on lights, check the garage, or even start my laundry from the TV. One of the great things is that out laundry is in the garage and we can't hear when it is done. I just pull it up on the TV and check the status. TLDR: The Samsung QLED Q80R has proven to me that there are still companies out there innovating and improving on this technology and it is a worthwhile upgrade, even if you purchased a different TV recently. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great 4k HDR Quality, yet I cannot use Google A Just bought this TV a few weeks ago; overall it does fulfill what it promises: Great contrast, advanced picture settings, quality, and ease of use. Yet I find it very odd that Samsung adversities the Q80R pairs easily with Google Assistant. I have browsed the e-manual on the Tv, downloaded the manual on my computer, and read the paper manual that came with the Tv...and I still can't find a "how to pair with Google Assistant" section. I am deeply set into the Google ecosystem, and I used to use a chromecast & mini to control my previous Tv with my voice. I don't like to use keep Bixby actively listening on my remote, just because it is an unnecessary use of batteries.

However it wasn't long before I noticed a black spots all along the edges of the TV, and one spot in particular is super dark and distracting. It's all I can see when I turn my TV on now. The picture attached doesn't do it justice. In person, you can easily notice black shadows all along the edges of the TV.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Overall TV The Samsung QLED Q80R is an absolute dream-come-true of a TV. I have been using it daily for a week now and could not be more happy. The unboxing process was extremely simple and straightforward thanks to the clever design of the packaging. The box just easily lifts up leaving the TV exposed for an easy unboxing process. The set itself is very well made and the Stans seems to be very sturdy. Setting up the TV took no more than 5 minutes which allowed me to focus on what the TV is actually made for: an excellent viewing experience. The TV has an option for set-up using a mobile app which made the initial configuration an absolute breeze. The TV itself also has an auto-calibration mode which takes a lot of the guesswork out of the picture settings, and allows it to dynamically change as the lighting in the room changes. This is extremely handy in my living room as I live in a location with abundant sunshine during the day so not having to manually adjust the brightness is an appreciated feature. The stunning backlight of the QLED 80R is more than enough to handle even the most well-lit rooms which is a must for a TV in my living room. Even at night, while not able to produce the true blacks of an OLED panel, the Full Array feature allows local dimming to provide a more-than-satisfactory experience while watching dark scenes, even while viewing at night. The sound quality seems to be similar to other TVs in the same tier with decent bass for scenes involving explosions and other deep sounds. While browsing the menu features, I noticed there is a mode that allows a Samsung rep to remotely login to your screen to provide better customer service (with your permission of course). Hopefully I never have to use this feature, but I can imagine it will be extremely helpful if I ever need to utilize it. Finally the Ambient Mode of the TV is a welcome feature in the era of wall-mounted TVs as it allows the device to transform into an art piece when not being used for video viewing. Overall, I am extremely happy with the QLED Q80R. It is my first QLED product and probably not my last. The set is beautifully designed, the image is stunning (no matter the amount of ambient lighting), the audio is more than satisfactory, and the remote/interface are intuitive and easy-to- use.

I like the fact that the TV includes some Samsung channels and it's a great variety! From cheddar news to TYT. Having all 3 services on the remote - hulu, prime video, and netflix- is also very handy! One of my favorite features of the TV is ambient mode. I try to have it on as much as possible and have not seen a difference in my light bill. The samsung apps also feature a great selection. I primarily use SlingTV and find that app works great with this TV. When I want to get some work done or stream something from my PC, I love that I can extend the display with one click! The remote access feature works flawlessly! Last but not least, I have recently started getting used to using Bixby. I find that it works really well at carrying out basic functions like turning the TV off or opening up the web broswer. The 4K menu is extremely helpful in finding programs you always watch to include episodes or seasons of your favorite tv shows you may have missed. Only drawback was there isn't a whole lot of extra room to attach cable ( was exetremely tight without a little wiggle room), which is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Picture Needed to upgrade my old Samsung TV for GoT since I couldn't get HBO Now to work on it. Samsung has an amazing selection of apps and, from what I've experienced, more options than Roku or Fire. There are plenty of TV settings to get the exact picture you want but turn on Intelligent mode and the TV does a great job of adjusting even on the fly during the show from a dark scene to a light. We have a wrap around couch and the picture is clear from any angle. A great test scene was the 3rd episode of season 8, "The Long Night." Every scene is clear. The blacks were deep and rich and every other color contrasts nicely on that background. There is little to no glare. No more seeing my face reflected back to me when Netflix ask if I'm still watching. Some DishNetwork channels are not very clear even though most of the channels are HD. Overall, quality is a definite upgrade over what I had and, except for 8K, darn near better than most TVs out on the market. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The picture quality is somehow even better. You get even more clarity in the dark areas. The setup was even quicker and the features have been upgraded. New additions include Ambient mode a soothing sort of screen saver/ piece of moving art. Finally, the remote is reconfigured to include pay services like Netflix, Amazon and Hulu for quick access. Rated 5 out of 5 by from What were they thinking Received from Samsung today. DSE was bad, got panel AA01. Picture was only good watching Netflix. Regular HD viewing was just aweful. I played with all of the setting and all TV shows were fuzzy both newer shows and old. If you want just for movies it is okay. If you want to watch regular cable HD channels stay away. Boxed it back up within 1 hour. My un65ks9800 from 2016 makes this TV look like a 420p RCA. Very disappointing,only positive is viewing angles were very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best TV I've owned ever The image processing is amazing and the picture is just incredible and I just came form a q8fn and I'm telling you right now the q80r is a step up idc what things are tested as your eyes dont lie and you can clearly see the sharpness difference and colors look like the glow like an oled and now whites arent just bland when dimmed they actually glow just like colors I see why people are saying it looks like a bright oled because it does it has that look not just with the blacks and yes the blacks are deep and the light control is much better that updated ultra black elite folte ris even better then last year it really helps that's why I say even if the contrast is rated slightly lower you actually cant see that it seems like the filter makes my blacks even better then my q8fn when side by side they are about equal but I give the edge to the q80r because of the light control I'm telling everyone give it a chance dotn listen. To anybody telling you its not good because it is they either have last years and have never seen this years and just dont want to believe it's better or they had a defective unit because wow this TV is fantastic it's so good I cant see anybody saying it's bad it's the first TV I've owned that made me go wow this is how I picture 4k and I've never had a TV meet my expectations this one exceeded it I did get a defectuve unit the first time with dead pixels but I got this one now and man oh man it's just incredible and the brightness dont think it isnt brifhr because it def is tests may say that it isnt as brifht but it is with real scene content it's getting 1000 nits on the q8fn real scene content only gets around 600 nits as rtings showes so just remember a test window isnt real content you want a TV that gets bright with content last year they got bright with test windows but much dimmer with content then rated this year there dimmer with test windows but brighter with real content so keep that in mind and I think it has to do with the dimming system since everything surrounding the test window is black but for real this is the best 4k TV I've owned and the best 4k TV Samsung has made meaning the q80r and the q90r

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome TV I recieved the Samaung 65 in. Q80R QLED TV a couple weeks ago and it has been an amazing experience so far. We had another Samsung TV but it was an older model from a couple years ago. It came very well packaged and there was no damage at all to the TV. The setup was so easy, it took maybe 10 minutes but that included having it sync to my phone. Which is awesome since I have the new Samsung S10+. I am able to view all my pictures and videos from the TV through the gallery app on my phone. There are so many options and settings that I am still learning all of them but to have it all in one TV is amazing. The ambient mode is awesome that you can set the background of the TV when you have guests over to create an amazing background. All of the apps that we regularly use are already installed on the home page so it is just a click away. We have cable and it detected it right away and is so easy to switch to it. Rated 5 out of 5 by from What an upgrade! Ok so after having a few different samsung smart TV's I was hoping to be blown away with this new one. All I can say is WOW! Our other Samsung smart TV's are only a couple years old but theres a world of difference. Its basically the same menu setup but everything just works so much smoother. Not to mention how easy it was to setup and get on our wifi network. Took all of 1 minute or less and it was all setup and logged into my samsung account and ready to be watched. Next comes picture quality. This is one of those TV's you stop in front of and say "wow would you look at that picture". I cant tell you how many times I stopped to look at QLED tv's at different stores and each and every time I walked away wanting one. Once we got home I would turn on our samsung 55 inch that we had in our living room and was shocked at how dull it looked compared to what we just looked at. The colors are so crisp and the blacks are so deep. The alsmost bezelless design is stunning and looks amazing above our fireplace. Using the ambient mode feature makes it even better for those days when you dont want to have just a black screen on your wall. I would recommend this tv to anyone who is serious about wanting to add a really high end TV to there entertainment setup. The smart APP/FEATURES made it a cinch to set up & link up my blue ray DVD player/surround sound combo to QLED TV. All the APPS I need are @ my FINGERS TIPS I can use THE SMART THINGS ON MY SAMSUNG S9 PHONE to change channels, turn up the volume, change input sources, etc, even turn TV on & off....What a fantastic feature!!! I love how easy it was to setup from the time I pulled it out of the box, to turning TV on & setting up to use for myself & my family entertainment needs. My son is going to go nuts over this picture quality when he plays his video games & watches his cartoons. To be such large QLED TV it is very light. The border is very slim, which makes it almost invisible. An illusion blending it in with the TV screen. It was a breeze hooking up my components to the HDMI,OPTICAL ports in the back of QLED TV. Its awesome how you can route the power cord and hide it between the grooves at back of TV and down under the cover of the foot stand that supports the TV. The remote controller is like a magic wand for the magician that is performing the show. SLICK, SIMPLE, EASY TO USE, EASY TO UNDERSTAND...PLAIN SIMPLICITY. Easiest remote I've ever used. I was able to program remote to all my components. Now I have one dedicated remote to use for all my components. THANK YOU SAMSUNG. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Honestly, Blown away! 'll be honest from the start; I am not a tech savvy person and my husband is responsible for our TV purchases. To give some perspective, it took me about 6 months to notice the difference between standard definition and high definition some years ago, but I noticed the improvement of the picture with this TV immediately. The TV was delivered, and I helped with the installation of it in our living room. After checking to make sure we had the remote working, I expected that the setup would take about an hour or so, so I left my husband to it while I started cooking dinner. To my surprise, he kept interrupting me about 20 minutes after I left him so that I could come in to look at the different features with the screensavers. He had already set everything up! The quality of the TV is amazing. The color is stunning when watching nature shows, even on apps. When watching movies, the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen are not even noticeable, which was not the case with our previous TV. The black bars were not truly black, and it would bother both my husband and son. Another good note, I was watching the most recent episode of Game of Thrones (Season 8 Episode 3) and while most people were complaining of the picture being too dark and they couldn't see anything, I had no issues. I was able to see the imagery just fine and was very grateful to my husband for getting this TV! Though I may not be the most tech-savvy person, I can tell you that this TV is far superior to any TV I've had before. I highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for a new, high quality TV. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A CUT ABOVE! The picture is crisp. The Smarthings App made setting up the TV so easy. Automatically detected my soundbar, cable box, and blueray player. It connected it to my wifi and registered the TV for warranty, and programmed the remote for my cable. Set up was 5 minutes. The arc HDMI connection to my soundbar allowed everything to be controlled from the TV remote. The new ambient mode is great. I have set to news scrolling from the New York times. You can set for your photos to scroll or other backgrounds to show. I am looking forward to exploring this function. It looks like it will be great for background noise. The TV has the ability to turn on my cable or blueray player through the HDMI cable. This really makes the TV seamless with components. It was easy to link Amazon Prime and Netflix through the TV. The quick buttons to these services make it easy to get to them. I also like the fact that I could tie my YouTube account to the TV and cast YouTube from my tablet or phone to the TV. The picture is a great upgrade! Everything looks better. Even older shows like MASH are crisp. My BlueRays also look much better than before. It actually has spurred me to re-watching my movie collection. Bixby is a great assistant. I find myself pausing TV and asking Bixby when or who characters are and can find out right on screen the information. I am also using Bixby for searches I normally would perform on my phone. I also like the fact that Bixby only listens to me when I press the remote control button. After using the television for the past month I'll say I'm blown away. The shades of black don't bleed so it doesn't have the gray film on other models. This was more noticeable than ever when we watched the game of thrones episode that everyone complained about, we had no problems what so ever with the brightness or having a hard time noticing what was in the scene. My husband says that while watching sports it's better than being at the games because you can see certain things that you wouldn't see there. We don't have cable TV, we have streaming services and when watching our tv versus being somewhere cable is you can notice the difference in quality right away. The contrast between colors and blacks is amazing, I cannot believe technology gotten this far, such a big surprise how clear images are. It has a really nice slim profile that perfectly matches with the decoration in the room. The apps that are available are great, we were able to get rid off the old streaming box and now everything is embedded in the same appliance giving us a better looking space in the room and of course easier user experience. The sound clear and loud enough for a bedroom, we didn't need to add external speakers to experience a good sound quality. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing quality! This tv has changed the way I watch television!! When it was delivered, 2 men brought it into my home and the box was absolutely huge. That told me that it was well protected inside. The box lifted off easily so no box to have to dig down into to lift the tv out of. The stand is very easy to attach too, and in directions they give you a diagram how to install it. We laid it flat on our table on top of a blanket and within 2 minutes the stand was attached. The thing that stuck out to me was the width of the television. I told my hubby “we have never had s tv this thin before, I love it!” The remote is so compact too, and has hulu, netflix, and amazon buttons on it. I used to have to use my blu-ray player to access these but now, voila...push a button and bam, there it is! On the remote is a directional pad that changes the values seen on the tv menu (up, down, right, left). Also has anbient button on remote that you can use. I love this feature because it means no more black screen while tv is off. Never have I seen anything like this before! Using ambient mode you can set your screen with an interactive background to match your decor! Also, you can use your own photos, or artwork. Seriously, how cool? When hubby turned the tv on for the first time, honestly I thought “how much better can the picture actually be than our previous tv?” but let me tell you, holy snikes is that picture beautiful. From every angle, same vivid picture. Even standing to the side of tv, the picture is vivid. This blows our previous 1080p out of the water! Even watching Judge Judy on it blew my mind. When I watched my first Yankees game on it, it blew my mind. I could see the players clearer, their faces more vividly, and the plays were so much more active than on my other tv. The only thing that might be a better picture would be being at the game, and prob not even then! Uniforms were bright, the field grass was as green as I had ever seen and even the fans were more exciting to see on this tv. Hubby plays a lot of Playstation golf and that was so exciting to see the colors in his game. The courses were seriously beautiful! Bright colors and imagery take gaming a whole new level! Even GTA is more exciting! This tv has changed the way we watch television in this home! It has gone from fun to watch to extremely exciting! Discovering all the great things about this tv is fascinating! We keep learning more each and every day!

I bought a 55 smart tv and the sales guy was trying to turn me onto a Sony. Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2019 Q80R Review After purchasing a 2019 Q90R, I decided that I wanted a larger 75” television for the living room with its primary purpose being for gaming and movies. The Q80R has been fantastic for this, with high levels of brightness, high contrast with deep blacks, and very minimal blooming (seriously, great work with the dimming algorithms). The new game mode settings this year, game enhancer and dynamic black equalizer, are excellent additions. These, along with FreeSync and game motion plus settings, have made a marked improvement in my enjoyment of the Q80R. Also of note, Tizen is easy to navigate and has access to all the streaming apps that I love to use, and integration with recognizing my gaming devices and Sonos speakers is very convenient and worthwhile quality of life features. I’d recommend the QLED line to anyone, but certainly the Q80R and Q90R to dedicated gamers who also want top quality picture for movies and streaming apps. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung Q80 TV We recently had the new addition of a Samsung Q80 75" TV to our household. I had no idea how big these new TVs got! It's huge compared to the previous TV and it has been perfect for some of the recent marathons I've enjoyed, particularly Game of Thrones and the Marvel movies. I love the picture quality the TV offers. It's 4K, so quite an upgrade from the prior 1080p I had grown used to. The pixels make the lower quality video much more apparent, but on the 4K movies it really gives an appreciation for quality TV. The brightness is perfect as well, and helps for the darker scenes in Game of Thrones and similar shows. The TV stand is simple, and while we had a mount we planned to use for it we were somewhat disappointed that it didn't come with the screws included. We purchased some and mounted it afterwards, but it seems like a small detail that would be appreciated. The TV remote is straightforward and easy to use. There aren't too many buttons on there, which makes it harder to navigate to specific channels but also easier to access the various streaming sites available. Thankfully, I primarily just watch videos on Netflix, Hulu, and HBO which makes for easy use and access. Overall, the Samsung TV has been a great addition to our daily lifestyle. The TV picture is incredible and on films available in 4K, the colors are pretty and vibrant. I love the features available, and look forward to using it regularly. The 75" is definitely a big upgrade from our previous LCD TV, but the QLED provides amazing movie theater like picture to our home. The real life like colors, bright and true, make tv watching fun and exciting. The remote design is pretty sleek, but needs to getting used to, given the minimal button design. The Smart Things pairing is a cool feature. I can sit and watch the TV, without a care as to the washer cycle is up or the clothes are dried or the oven cycle is done. The reminder just pops on the screen and these are super nice set of features. But the feature that i really love is the ambient mode. The multiple modes with its stock images/ videos are backed up with soft music giving a soothing experience. Look forward to creating our personal album on this mode. The set of native apps make it easy to switch and surf programs. The pairings with set top box and roku was seamless and was completed without much effort. I didn't think I really needed a 4k television cause the content was not out there but wow hdr10 on this TV makes everything just pop out at you really adds depth. Picture quality on the TV is great had to make some adjustments turn off motion plus features ees s don't care for the soap opera look it gives. The best part of the TV for me is the anti glare coating my last Samsung TV I could not open up blinds in day time if I wanted to watch TV but now it's really not an issue. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best yet!! Let me start by saying that I have owned various samsung tvs in the past 8 years. It all began with plasma for me. I received this q80r on March 22, 2019, with today being March 25. This tv replaced the q8 model from 2018. So far my opinion of the picture is that it without a doubt beats the picture on last years model. The colors are once again great, but the blacks seem to be even better than before. The contrast just seems to be 10 times better. The smart features seem to be similar to last years model and include the best of the best apps. The system is very simple to use and love how you can set items to your home screen. I wanted to watch a certain movie on netflix and it appeared right on my home screen when i put the selection on netflix, so i never had to actually log in and search thru netflix app itself. The design stays the same as the 2018 model. Simple and elegant with simple setup. There is nothing complicated about the design and it s fairly thin. I use the q80r mostly for watching my favorite tv programs like ncis, walking dead, and magnum p.i. The picture on each of those shows is just out of this world terrific, and honestly almost appears to be in 4k even though they broadcast in 1080i. Just love the home screen menu, where one can set the different apps they want to have easily accessible, with no need to go clicking on different menus. So easy!! The settings menu screen has an option for "intelligent mode" which pretty much does all the color and picture programming for you. Such a great feature!! And wow how all the blacks show so well on this tv set. The 4k is outstanding when watching various items from Netflix or Amazon. I've played around with most of the menu options and have it set to my liking finally. With a click of the remote I can switch easily between my security cams and TiVo. I even have the Q80 timer programmed for auto shut off every night. Cant wait until the new apple iTunes app is available. This TV is just fantastic and sits comfortably on the wall with its slim design. This TV has it all; apps, internet browser, 4 hdmi ports, simple remote, and so much more. Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW...just WOW! I've had a Samsung TV before....it was my birthday gift to myself last year. A 49" Full UHD TV and the 4k was GLORIOUS. I thought it was the perfect TV. And then the Q80r came out and....just WOW. First off, this TV is *light.* Its not nearly as heavy as I was expecting it to be. My housemate and I unboxed it and put it up with ease. Its got the Samsung universal remote that I've grown to love, as well as the Samsung OS that is simple to navigate and has a new Ambient mode feature. Ambient Mode is for all of us that hate having a big black box on the wall--I love my TV when I'm watching it, hate that its an eyesore when I'm not. Samsung heard that and now allows you to put up artwork, your own photos, or even really cool displays with the time, date and weather. This TV is INSANE. I've literally never seen picture quality as good as the Samsung Q80r QLED. Being QLED, you can watch it in the dark, or with a bright window behind you and still see get an amazing picture. I can go on and on about how great Blue Planet II is, but you have to simply see it to believe it. As I mentioned before, I *love* the Samsung remote. They updated this one with a dedicated button for Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. Better than that, though, Samsung released a new "Universal Guide" that is on-par with Apple's "TV" App. It connects all your apps into one place and allows you to get to whatever you want to watch in a few clicks. Even better--just speak to Bixby, the Samsung voice assistant, and they'll pull up whatever your request is. For you gamers out there--the PS4 is *LIT* on this TV. In fact, I've gone back and started playing all my favorite games again because you see detail and textures that you simply don't see on the small screen. Lastly, Samsung has really upped their audio quality game. My only complaint with previous TVs is that I needed a sound bar or an external device to have high-quality sound. Not so with the Q80r. This thing ROCKS and provides crisp, clear dialogue. Can you tell I love this TV? Here's the deal: if you have the cash, and you are the type of person that only likes THE BEST of THE BEST--This is your television. You simply won't find anything out there that comes close to the video and audio quality with an insanely intuitive user experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Downgrade from 2018 QLED Coming from a 2018 Q8FN, the 2019 Q80R is quite the downgrade. It seems that we have received wide viewing angles but the trade off is going against what QLED previously achieved. Native Contrast has taken a big hit to below average, Color Gamut and Color Volume has been reduced, Local Dimming is less aggressive which is causing blooming unless putting mode to low, plus for some reason Local Dimming in Game Mode has a totally different algorithm that suffers from grey blacks and much more blooming. In 2018, the Q8FN was very hard to beat with what I mentioned above. Samsung needs to bring back the local dimming algorithm from the 1202 firmware update to 2019 QLEDs. I feel many would prefer a little loss if dark detail which only occasionally happened on my 2018 Q8FN over what has been implemented with this 2019 Q80R. The Q8FN was a very hard to beat TV and the Q80R should have stuck with its strengths of local dimming and deep blacks. As for the contrast and color downgrades...if it is indeed the wide angle tech that is the reason for this trade off, I feel Samsung should have been honest so people can properly choose which is more important : viewing angles or color and contrast. If color and contrast is some people’s pick over viewing angles, they would clearing pick the Q70R as it won’t have that trade off due to no viewing angles. I wouldn’t have upgraded from my amazing Q8FN which did suffer uniformity issues but would have chosen repair versus paying an upgrade fee for a downgraded Q80R. 2019 QLEDs should have been everything 2018 was, with the improvements. People need to know Samsung!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I live here and I love this TV! The Samsung 65 inch Q80R arrived in a box so slim it easily made it through the front door. Unboxing it was so simple it made the unboxing video turned out a non-event compared to the rest that was to come. You cut 2 cords, pull the top box upwards and take wrapping off the TV body. It included the screen/main frame, 2 legs for a stand, a power cord, OneRemote, batteries and instructions. What I liked, was the box was well designed and easy even for a girl like me. The legs while made of a heavy, sturdy, modern metal are hollow so you can slide the topsides off and slip the power and HDMI cords inside them for hiding. There are special grooves at the back of the TV where you push the cords in. No unsightly cords dangling messily behind the scene with this one. Our earlier Samsung KS8000 came with the OneConnect box, this model does not and I do not miss it at all. The OneRemote is smoother to touch and resistant to finger prints compared to the 2016 OneRemote. It thoughtfully includes dedicated one-click buttons for Netflix, Prime Video and Hulu for streaming bingers like us. We are able to use the OneRemote with DirectTV Genie so we can truly just use one remote. By design the Q80R comes with a premium metal frame whose look and feel matches perfectly with a Macbook, iPad or iPhone in Steel Gray. Whether this was deliberate on Samsung's part for the coming integration of the AppleTV App and Airplay2 for Samsung TV's is unclear but it is appealing to modern enthusiasts like me. Apple AirPlay 2 will enable screen Wi-Fi mirroring from Apple devices to this TV without the need for an Apple TV box. The Q80R model (unlike the Q90R) does not work with the Samsung No Gap Wall Mount. We await upcoming compatible Samsung Mini Mounts. We had an electrician install a Le Grand Pass and Seymour Recessed TV Media Box Kit with built-in surge protection. Originally, we planned to place the Q80R in our dark movie room and move the S8000 to our bedroom. But after testing the adaptive sound that automatically compensates for room acoustics and viewing distance and adaptive brightness that automatically adjusts to ambient lighting conditions, we decided to put it in the Masters. Even with the morning light streaming through our wall to wall windows, there is no glare, the picture remains clear with depths even to the darkest and lightest colors. This whole week I have been experimenting with ultra-wide viewing angles. Watching TV from the bed at night 10 feet away, creating a pop-up cafe 2 feet from the screen or even exercising on a WaterRower on the floor, we enjoy crisp and clear viewing from all angles. The colors never wash out nor pixelate. We enjoyed the screen even more after we painted the back wall with Benjamin Moore Aura in Onyx Matte to compliment the black anti-reflection and true black bars of the TV. Ambient Mode Info is a nice way to start the day with a quiet way to get both news and the local weather. Hopefully they will add more moving wallpaper and visual images within Decor mode. For MyAlbum I would like the capability to upload images into a borderless full screen. The SmartThings App is slow and lacks intuitiveness but could be improved incrementally as users grow and more products become compatible. I rather not use Bixby to control my TV. For privacy, I do not like the idea that the TV is listening to us always. But I also do not use Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa nor Apple Siri for the same reason. The sound is strong enough for the space sans Soundbar and the new technology somehow eliminates room echoing. I sync my Beats headphones to the TV for late night viewing and Samsung auto volume guards against sound fluctuations. So when I drift off before the sleep timer shuts off the TV, I am not awakened prematurely by advertisements that are jarringly louder than the shows. The Q80R goes above and beyond expectations even with our high standards for Samsung. We have enjoyed the best part of the TV; watching the visually stunning OA on Netflix, the dark action of Hanna on Amazon and the intergalactic dimensions of Star Trek Discovery. To see how dramatic images can be watch the slow motion opening of the Good Fight. Seeing Wakanda from a second time at home on this screen was as moving as in the movie theatre. Our friends were awed by this TV at our Game of Thrones Viewing Party. The 4K picture quality and motion is excellent. We see the content the way it was intended regardless of space, angle or distance through adaptive brightness, sound and volume. The Q80R delivers not just a look, a feel but for me, it has delivered on a lifestyle. The way I start my day, work my day and end my day. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung Q80 TV We recently had the new addition of a Samsung Q80 75" TV to our household. I had no idea how big these new TVs got! It's huge compared to the previous TV and it has been perfect for some of the recent marathons I've enjoyed, particularly Game of Thrones and the Marvel movies. I love the picture quality the TV offers. It's 4K, so quite an upgrade from the prior 1080p I had grown used to. The pixels make the lower quality video much more apparent, but on the 4K movies it really gives an appreciation for quality TV. The brightness is perfect as well, and helps for the darker scenes in Game of Thrones and similar shows. The TV stand is simple, and while we had a mount we planned to use for it we were somewhat disappointed that it didn't come with the screws included. We purchased some and mounted it afterwards, but it seems like a small detail that would be appreciated. The TV remote is straightforward and easy to use. There aren't too many buttons on there, which makes it harder to navigate to specific channels but also easier to access the various streaming sites available. Thankfully, I primarily just watch videos on Netflix, Hulu, and HBO which makes for easy use and access. Overall, the Samsung TV has been a great addition to our daily lifestyle. The TV picture is incredible and on films available in 4K, the colors are pretty and vibrant. I love the features available, and look forward to using it regularly. I was comparing an OLED to Samsung QLED and from every review comparisons I read, the picture quality for OLED was rated better. However I went with the QLED for the number one reason being the possible image burn in on the OLED sets. I thought I would have to give up picture quality, but to my surprise that was not the case. Made it really easy to set the TV up Wi-Fi & time,location And other devices you have.The remote control is amazing for the best Universal Remote I've ever seen.From hooking up the cable Box to the Ps4 Pro up was automatic,Even the remote can control the ps4.The graphics are amazing.Samsung intelligent mode for sound and picture work very well.I did have some problem with Auto motion plus I had turn that off to make the picture better.The speakers and sound on the old Tv I had was louder at lower volume numbers versus now with higher volume numbers .#20on Volume Is now 50 or more on the Samsung to get the same loudness?Feels like they make you by sound systems or sound bars now. So I am in the process of moving so I didn't get much time to fully indulge myself into this TV, but for the time allowed, I can easily say this is the best TV I've ever used! So as soon at it was delivered to me, just seeing how large the box was I knew it was definitely going to be my TV for everything. When i first turned on the TV just how it turned on wowed me, like a snapshot into its main dashboard, just brilliant. Seeing the built in apps that already came with it like Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Spectrum made it easily accessible to enjoy my daily shows and movies, to include extra channel apps for other direct shows. The picture quality, my god, just couldn't believe that it could look so real, so pure, so life like, its phenomenal. I also played around with the ambient mode, which is pretty neat because instead of sometimes having a blank screen in idle mode, you can have a nice picture thats already built into the TV, or you could upload some of your own photos to your liking. The speakers is good enough to be stand alone, you can add additional speakers if you like, but for a movie it does well. The remote was prebuilt with the Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime buttons for quick access to the apps, which I enjoy due to it being simple for my kids to use to watch their cartoons. I haven't been able to connect my Xbox One to the TV yet but i have a strong feeling I won't be disappointed. Simplicity is the only word I can think of to explain how quick and easy setting up the TV was. I was up and running in just a few minutes. The interaction between my Samsung Galaxy cell phone and the TV was seamless and made for a fantastic experience. The TV even detected the devices I had plugged into the TV during setup. So my DVD, set top box, etc. were all configured automatically. The TV itself has excellent sound quality (a real plus for such a thin TV) and the picture is phenomenal. The quality of the picture makes you feel you are a part of what you are watching, whether it be a movie, sports or something in-between. The features are superior and there are plenty to choose from. Navigating and switching input sources from a gaming console, broadcast TV, DVD play or a show stored on your home network, you can get to it quickly and with no hassle. The remote that came with the TV is easy to use and the layout and TV functions are intuitive and well thought out. I also love being about to display photos and artwork images on the screen when not watching TV. I am not very “techie” so I can’t speak to all the technical specifications and all that. I have been seeing this televison in many store and dreamed of owning one. My husband set the TV over our fireplace mantle with a drop down TV mount. He said for the size of the TV it’s not heavy at all. The metal bezel gives it a touch of class. The remote could have a little more functions on it. My family loves the Samsung digital channels. It has made movie nights so much better with the great picture quality. However, maybe it's the TV, or maybe the Xbox One, or the HDMI cable, but it had cut off the signal from time to time and the screen goes black for a brief second. Rated 5 out of 5 by from CRAZY Quality I mean, come on… this TV is ridiculously great. For starters, this TV was WAY easy to set up. We had a wall bracket already in place, so apart from a moment of heavy lifting, installing the TV was as easy as putting it down and screwing it in. Setup was super simple - we were able to connect the TV to our wifi and then synced up all our relevant apps with the OneRemote within minutes. We then tinkered around with the SmartThings app and Ambient Mode… it’s pretty neat to have a TV that doubles as a wall art-fixture. I’m not a fan of big black boxes on the wall, so it was great to easily create an ambient background that matches the lighting of the wall behind. It’s one of those “why has no one ever thought of this before?” features… Ok, so let’s get to the picture quality: it’s insane. Quantum Processor 4K is crazy sharp. I’ve watched Planet Earth for HOURS since getting this TV. My roommate’s also commented that the picture quality has made gaming way better because he can make out what’s going on in the screen with way more clarity. And the Quantum Dot colors are crazy. I didn’t know we could make colors like that appear on a screen… I’ll also make a plug for the Ultra Viewing Angle - we’ve got a HUGE window in our living room, and it often washes out the picture. Not so with this TV. The picture is as sharp and colorful as ever, regardless of the room lighting. So my answer is “yes,” if you have the money to drop… the Q80R QLED is a great buy. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Update For The Family Room We had a Samsung TV that was only 4 years old so I was surprised by how much better this television is across the board. Getting it out of the box and up on the wall was a breeze. It tucks up against the wall, super thin. The setup process was beyond easy. It seemed to set itself up. From finding the DVD player to the Sonos speakers and sound bar to the cable box. The whole process took just a few minutes and we were back to watching TV. The 4K is a game changer. The actors jump off the screen. The colors are crisp, the blacks are by far the best of any TV we have owned. We have seen the Meg before and watched it again last night. With this new TV it was like watching a different movie. The scenes underwater were incredible, the shark even scarier. We are looking forward to watching the new season of Game of Thrones when it starts next week on the new Samsung. The smart features are also awesome. Much less calling Dad to help find a show with the easy to use remote and the voice search functionality. I would highly recommend this television if you are looking for an upgrade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from QLED is class apart After about 2 months of research on top TV brands, I chose Samsung Q80R 65 inch. My main deciding factors were picture quality(colour gamut, local dimming & peak brightness), Upscaling, wide angle viewing, and TV OS. After getting this big boy home I was just stunned by its picture quality. It's just class apart. The blacks are very deep without crushing the details and the colours are very very good which popout. The amount of detail you can see on this TV is astounding. HD/Full HD content upscaling is very good with no issues. The ultra wide angle viewing is very useful for me especially when I have guests over. The Tizen OS is very smooth and easy to navigate with lots of apps available to download. Bixby can be very helpful especially when adjusting settings. Sound quality is good but not great. My only complain is the lack of eARC (enhanced audio return channel) support. I hope Samsung will issue a firmware update to support it in the future. Overall, I'm really very happy with my purchase and I'm glad I got a QLED. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this TV! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung Q80R 75" 4K TV As the huge box arrived in my house, I was excited to try the new TV. We lifted the top of the box off to reveal a brand new TV underneath. The box was not fully sealed and the TV wasn't particularly covered, so I took a quick minute to wipe off the dust and got ready to transfer the TV onto the stand. As the TV was a large upgrade for my family from a 52", we were quite excited to start using it. Setting-Up the TV: I elected to use the phone app for the Samsung TV. It was quite seamless, taking about 5-10 minutes. For some reason, it did not automatically detect my Wifi network and I had to manually enter it. However, the set-up was overall very intuitive. There are some shortcomings on the app however - I feel that it would be much easier if they enabled use of the phone keyboard within the app. It would help to use the TV as a browser, to log in to accounts, and to use the search bars. Use of the TV: The remote provided is minimalist, but still provides all the necessary features to use the TV. The integrated Samsung application is very easy to use when it comes to scrolling through a variety of streaming services. Unfortunately there are no mounting screws provided, so you would need to purchase your own screws. Picture Quality: I played around with several of the features accessible on the Q80 models. I trialed through a variety of streaming services including Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu. I loved the 4K image quality, and even on videos available only in 1080p the picture quality was incredible and upscaled very well. The colors are fantastic, and this feature is perfect for showcasing backgrounds on the TV while hosting, or for enjoying the vibrant colors of various films. The picture itself is incredibly bright. It has a feature to automatically dim / set brightness depending on what the remote detects in the surrounding, which is helpful to use. The brightness is helpful with our home as our living room has numerous windows which can lead to reflection on certain TVs. The viewing angles are fantastic too. It allows for great viewing from many angles, and allows for me to view from the kitchen, the dining table, and various other areas from the home. In Summary: The Samsung Q80 series are a great upper tier line of TVs. The QLED is delivered incredibly well, featuring amazing brightness, solid picture quality, accurate colors, and wide viewing angles. The design of the TV is visually attractive, and the ambient mode is perfect when entertaining guests. There are just a few downsides I encountered, moreso the lack of features in the phone app, as well as not including mounting screws in the packaging. Overall, I am extremely happy with the new addition to the living room, and love my brand new TV! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I would have given all 5's Is it wasn't for one reason. I read rumors that this TV will not support 120 Hz in 4K but instead 120 Hz in 2K. Not the biggest Deal but I wish it would support the 4K at 120Hz for gaming. Who knows maybe Samsung will allow this to happen. The brand is very dependable and reliable meaning it has very few issues when it comes to durability. The picture is extremely clear and feels like you are in the movies except with a super sharp picture. The 4k quantum processor improves performance and upscaling quality and and you can also adjust the brightness. With over 33 million pixels you can see a complete picture on a beautiful canvas which brings me to ambient mode. The TV can cloak itself like it isnt there at all and become apart of the wall or as a decorative piece mounted on the wall. The possibilities are endless! Bixby is your intelligent assistant when needing help with any tasks and Bixby is already also located on my Samsung phone as well as my new Samsung qled TV! In the dark iam able to get the full pictures and color scheme and also because of the 4k it doesnt matter where iam in the room, I can see the picture from any angle. The TV is not bulky and boasts a sleek design making it a top contender for 2019. The remote was challenging at first but nothing that could not be figured out. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replace my old Samsung. Earlier this month I replaced my 12 year old 48” Samsung with a 2019 55” Q80R. The only reason I bought the Q80 was because they don’t make the Q90 in a 55”. I absolutely love this unit!!! I replaced it for the NHL playoff and the picture is absolutely amazing. Crystal clear and I fell like I’m actually at the stadium. I also purchased a Samsung 4K blue ray player and just watched The Last Jedi and still can’t believe how good the picture quality is. I have a Samsung 65” in the family room that’s only 2 years old but seriously considering buying the Q90 and giving the old one to my sister. You can’t go wrong with any of the Samsung products. I have 4 Samsung TV’s, a Samsung front end loader washer and dryer and in the kitchen I have a Samsung refrigerator, gas stove and microwave. All excellent quality. Our TV is only a couple of years old, but it is amazing how far things have gotten in a couple of years. Not only do you have a beautiful picture, but the technology that comes with it is enough reason for everyone should this. The only problem I see now is when I am watching something that is not high quality, the picture quality is all that I seem to pay attention to. The Samsung QLED Q80R display is absolutely perfect and I can't imagine anything better than this. Setting it up took less than 5 minutes because it automatically recognized everything! Not only do you get perfect shows to watch, you get art work when you are not watching. A side-by-side comparison of our previous TV shows this to be a much richer and much more crisper picture. Another one of the great features is they have the Samsung TV Plus. Almost 40 channels in 4K. Being able to control the TV with your phone is a great added feature. The ambient mode allows you to create a work of art to your style, so you don't have just a blank black space. They have thought of everything with this work of art.

Grooves that run along the back hide and hold cords as do slide-in hollow feet. The clear and crisp 4K screen is encased in a sturdy metal body that almost perfectly matches Apple's Steel Grey products. It is not compatible with the Samsung No Gap Wall Mount so we used the Samsung Mini Mount WMN550 which when mounted is minimal and very low profile but we had to figure instructions ourselves as this was the 2015-2017 model. Once mounted, the Samsung QLED Q80R is simply stunning. The technology includes; adaptive brightness, adaptive sound, Ultra Black Elite anti-reflection technology and ample voice-control options. The panels deliver ultra-wide viewing angles so colors are consistent at any viewing angle. Blooming is negligible. While Voice Assistant Bixby can be useful. It is distracting. I prefer how seamless and easy it is to use my iPad to push content through the AppleTV App. Ambient Mode is welcome as background decor. This includes weather, news and some lively nature scenes. Moving wallpapers would be a welcome addition. This model does away with the bulky OneConnect Box. The OneRemote communicates with the TV via RF signal for you to be able to control the TV from anywhere in the room. However, it communicates with cable boxes through an IR signal. OneRemote does not have full functionality for cable boxes. There is no outlet for an IR Extender but with handy Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime dedicated buttons on OneRemote many users may opt to do away with cable altogether. The features are amazing. The Samsung QLED Q80R had no issue transporting up to my apartment, it is not overtly heavy and easy for two people to transport. The unboxing process was overall easy as well. Setting up the TV was a quick process and we were ready for our viewing experience! The look of the TV is sleek and stunning. It is very sturdy but thin. The picture quality is impressive and is not affected by how much sunlight is in the room. We were able to view programs at various times during the day and the picture quality did not change with day vs night. We appreciated the auto-calibration mode which adjusted for the lighting in the room and was a big winner for us. Sound quality is great as well, there was no issue with this (I generally like to watch with subtitles on so I don’t miss key things but I didn’t have to with this!). The remote is easy to use which is great for when we have friends and family over. Overall, we were impressed with the Samsung QLED TV and can’t wait to share the experience with others! That KS8000 was a great TV but I am definitely impressed in what Samsung has changed and improved upon in 3 years time. It is much brighter than my KS8000 with much better dark levels. This is my first full array TV and I can definitely now see what all the hype is about. Watching standard Bliuray's or streaming 1080p content is awesome. This TV does a great job of upscaling quality 1080p sources to 4K. But 4K Bluray's and other 4k content is like looking through a crystal clear mirror. It's amazing. What I type can't even describe it. I love it. Gaming is also awesome with Freesync on Xbox One X. All in all, I highly recommend this TV. It's beautifully bright with awesome contrast and great software. It isn't perfect, but it's getting close.

Beautiful, Sleek, Vibrant, Intelligent, Powerful, Bright, and absolutely Perfect for High Quality 4k Content. I recently obtained the 2019 75” Q80R QLED. This thing is stunning. Where do I begin…. -Blacks and “Direct Full Array” - My previous TV was a 2017 65” UHD Tv, I’m not sure the model number. But it was only edge lit, I could see light bleed when watching movies in their original aspect ratio. The top and bottom bars were dark grey at best. But this Q80R on the other hand, is a different beast. Black it BLACK. Now when watching 4k Movies the top and bottom bars disappear and I do not even notice them. This is probably due the the “Direct Full Array” Which I think works Flawlessly. I used to have another brand with Local Dimming and I thought it was horrible. Not enough Zones to be effective. This Q80R knock this technology out of the park. -Ultra Viewing Angle- Samsung has a new piece of tech built into the 2019 Q80 & Q90 to help with the Viewing angle. I have walked back and forth in front of my tv and sat way off axis but the colors and brightness still stay the same. The picture still looks great, just as if you were sitting front and center. So if you have a couple of Arm Chairs off to the left and right of your living room. This set will be perfect for you. Same Great Picture. -4k Processor - My opinion is that it Upscales the 1080p content pretty well. I don’t watch much 1080p content on this tv too much to analyze it -HDR Capabilities - CRAZY GOOD!!! Blacks are BLACK and whites a bright and Crisp! The tv HDR format HDR10+. I have a Panasonic 4k Player hooked up to this which also outputs HDR10+. The Pair together is AMAZING. Especially if you are watching a 4k Disc Mastered in HDR10+. . . .If you can invest in the Player that output HDR10+, do it. Ambient Mode - The Mode that you never thought that you wanted, until you use it! It somehow knows the color of my room, CREEPY. But wonderful. They have so many options for what ever interests you. Art, Textures, Pictures. . .etc. If you are thinking about buying this tv. Don’t hesitate. Especially if you have not owned a top of the line Model before. It will knock your socks off! I Ill update this review when I have had a little more time with the unit. But as of right now. . . Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture Perfect I am not usually one to get excited over a TV, I'm usually dragging my husband away from them at the store. With the Q80R I have been extremely impressed with the picture quality and the detail you can see on the screen. Even when watching the Great British Baking show the colors and the vibrancy make you feel like you’re in the kitchen with the contestants and when they show the landscape outside the tent you feel like you really are in the British country side. The 65" fit perfectly above our fire place and I really love how minimal the bezel is around the screen. The one feature I have not enjoyed about this TV, which is the reason I couldn’t give it five stars was because of Bixby. The remote for the TV comes equipped with Bixby and there isn't a way to turn the feature off. It is extremely frustrating that Bixby will hear what is being said on a show and thinks a question is being asked and silence the show and talks over it. If it was only occasional interruptions it would be less frustrating, but it occurs at least five times in a hour TV show. We have had to go as far as putting tape over the microphone on the remote to try to stop it from happening. I think having Bixby on the TV remote is unnecessary feature. This will be my last Samsung TV if it doesn't happen.

I am a Samsung fan for years, this is my 4th Samsung TV, but not for DVD players. My past experience has been Sony players always look better on Samsung TVs, particularly for HD detail. I recently purchased the 82Q80 and tried three different 4k players, Samsung M8500, Sony X800M2, and Panasonic UB420, all sold at best buy. The Samsung player was a disappointment, the Sony player looked much better than Samsung, the Panasonic player looks amazing, the 4k movies on Panasonic player look cinematic on the Samsung Q80 tv, could be cause the Panasonic player supports HDR10+. Remember the Q80 supports HDR10+. Anyone out there who has purchased the Samsung Q80 looking for a cinematic 4k player, I recommend you get the Panasonic UB420, it does the Q80 justice. Its just like everything else, the video projection you get out of the tv depends on the video quality you put into it. Which reminds me, regular tv i.e. 720p and 1080i look decent on this tv but not amazing. With ATSC 3.0 coming in 2020 I expect networks to broadcast in 4k which will allow regular tv to have sharper 4k like quality image.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warning! Turns on and off by itself. This TV frequently turns on and shuts off on it's own. Shut off 3 times while watching a movie yesterday. I disconnected all the HDMI cords and it still experiences this issue. Even if this would have worked it is obviously an unacceptable fix. Likewise, I see Samsung recommends turning off the "power on with mobile" option which I haven't tried but again this would be an unacceptable solution. I have dozens of smart devices integrated into my home and none of them have issues with randomly turning on or off. Perform a quick google search and you will see these series of TVs swarming with this very issue and no sound solution. I tried to schedule a service request but notified they are unable to schedule a date because my area is not supported. Second, the universal remote feature on this Samsung remote has useless. I have attempted repeatedly to have it control our Xfinity Cable box but it only works for a very short time before it stops working. It also cannot be programmed to control my Nvidia Shield TV Pro media player. Both of these devices synced effortlessly and remain reliable with my LG and Vizio TVs. Spoke with the specialist at BestBuy and they said they all experience the same issue and unfortunately there is no solution which involves using the Samsung remote. I have already given up on this remote working for anything other than the apps in the TV. Time to call them and see what the next step is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice TV Purchased this TV for a larger newer model than our Plasma w/3D. With new tech erupting we had to keep up. The features are great. I miss the 3D. and looking for a new HD Blu-Ray Player to match with it now. One issue is the connection with our new Yamaha Rec. the setup for the off and on does not sync and we have to manually change the settings for the Rec to operate. The stand seems woobly for the size, we have to secure the legs to the table. It should also have Google assist also.

This is truly a sharp tv all the way around especially with gaming! Also HDR10+ is amazing... it doesn't need Dolby vision because Samsung NAILED IT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boneheaded mistake Samsung decided it was a good idea to place a yellow tag with ridiculously strong glue directly onto the TV surface. Pulling off the tag resulted in de-lamination of the TV surface! Given how fragile and expensive this TV is, I am beyond frustrated to have it damaged before I even got to use due to Samsung's complete carelessness with this sticker. Their review site will also not let me upload photos, which says something too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VERY DISAPPOINTED!! Will not by Samsung! I bought a 55” QLED tv curve screen. Just after the warranty expired a LED went out directly in the middle of the screen. Now I have a shadow line that runs right up the middle. It’s darker on the bottom and gets lighter as it goes up. It’s about 1” wide at the bottom and spreads out as it goes up. I bought this TV as a centerpiece in my den. Nobody could help. Im going to replace this tv but I can tell you it certainly will not be a Samsung!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from extreme judder! Vertical banding. I have had this tv since the end of November and it is terrible!! Extreme vertical banding and judder. The only good thing about it is color and sound. For the price this is unacceptable! I will NEVER buy another samsung tv again. Will stick with the past years vizio products. Also for the price point I find it sad that this doesn't support dolby vision hdr. Overall I am very embarrassed to have people over while i am watching tv because the whole screen shakes like crazy with motion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture This is a good set but when you purchase a soundbar like the Q60R it sets too low as it covers the sensor when it's in front of the stand. The legs need to be 1/2 inch taller so the sensor isn't covered. I'm going to try and add a spacer to the TV set sits high enough so the soundbar doesn't cover the sensor. A major flaw in its design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best TV since Plasma I never thought I would see the quality of Plasma again, I bought 2 of these. OLED camps will call this set an LCD to undermine it, but it is a highly evolved and modified technology that does not have angle loss and added highly advanced processors and quantum dot technology that really does convert 1080P sources to 4K with its AI processing chip, if you leave any player or media device in 1080P with a 1080 disk or signal. If you play a 1080p source or disk such as Blu-ry or FireTV/Stick and put the device in 4K mode, the AI processor will be bypassed and the media players will poorly interpolate the signal. If you use the built in apps the AI processor will kick in and convert 1080p sources automatically. The angles are fantastic, no loss from normal viewing angles. The black levels equal the best plasmas. Despite OLED blacks are better by measurement meters, side by side the black levels were basically identical to the human eye, the blacker OLED also comes with the cost of crushing a % of the picture in dark scenes. The whites are much more whiter on this QLED VS OLED than the OLED black is more black on this QLED. Remote is a bit awkward in small sense, but the only issue I have is it does not display the current time when hitting the info button on the remote, perhaps Samsung can do that with a software update. Not enough for me to take away the 5 star rating.

When I purchased a comprehensive 5 yr extended warranty for 395$ from Electronics Express, that I would certainly be covered if any electronic or panel issues occurred. Unfortunately, Samsung will NOT honor their own warranty if they feel the panel has been damaged in any way.. I moved a short distance over 5 weeks ago, with this TV being professionally padded and wrapped to protect the screen, and was delivered without incident. 4 weeks later, the screen starts to show an apparent crack in the internal LED panel without a scratch on the front surface of the screen! There were multiple thin black lines across the screen emanating from an apparent panel crack.. Technical support sent a regional repair service to examine the TV, and they said that there had to have been some blunt force trauma to the area in question on the front of the screen. I assured him that this screen had never had any damage at all

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lacks too many features for a TV that costs this m Bought this and returned within a week. The dealbreaker was that it doesn't support 5.1 channel audio on optical output. I have a Sonos playbar, sub and surrounds - playbar only has optical input and not having 5.1 audio on optical just defaults the audio to sub-par at best. Few other things to know which I had no idea before buying: - Native Youtube app doesn't support high quality audio - it defaults to "PCM" regardless of what your receiver is capable of - Setting up the "One Remote" to control the Sonos system was a major PIA - No eARC support. So even if I had bought an apple tv or some other streaming device that is able to output Dolby Atmos, TV doesn't support it over HDMI Things that I did know was lacking and decided were OK to go for this as opposed to the LG C9 OLED: - Lack of full hdmi 2.1 support - No Dolby Vision - No WiSA compatibility

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ARC is a let down the picture is great. however, when watching any of its apps like netflix, youtube, and disney, the tv stops playing it sounds thru the earc. shows a pop-up message that the tv is connected to a non-arc. have to turn off the power to whole system.
